Ep 32: Creating one of the most popular designs ever made with Dedri Uys - Part 2

How did you enjoy last weeks episode of the Mind of the crochet designer podcast? During the latest episode I interviewed one of my all time favorite designers, Dedri Uys where we discussed so many things around stitch anatomy, it was like a masterclass in crochet design!  This week we are continuing the interview where we dive deeper into how she created one of the most iconic and popular crochet designs ever, Sophies Universe.  We also talked about how special it is to crochet design and if she regretted giving away the pattern for Sophies Universe for free and how she makes money with free patterns.  You don't want to miss this! You can either listen to it in audio format or hang with us on Youtube  Grab your favorite WIP and sit back   PODCAST LINK: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2364209 YOUTUBE LINK: https://www.youtube.com/@christinacrochetcoach If you want to see more of Dedri's work, here's how to connect  Blog http://www.lookatwhatimade.net  Instagram https://www.instagram.com/barbertondaisy/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Lookatwhatimade/ Pinterest https://uk.pinterest.com/dedri  Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJr6l7qzZrGg9t8p0z0Yk9A Want to know more about the golden loop and stitch anatomy? Ep 31: The science behind crochet stitches that will make your design process a breeze with Dedri Uys - part 1

I have a very special episode for the Mind of the Crochet Designer Podcast lined up for you! Oh my God, I am so stoked for this interview because I have none other than Dedri Uys in front of the microphone, the creator of one of the biggest, most popular crochet design ever, Sophies Universe, and ever since I started this podcast, she was on my short list for designers to interview. Dedri Uys is so skilled and so generous, and just such a kind person. And I just cannot wait for you to hear this interview. I actually cut it up in two parts because we chatted for a very long time. This first part, we dive into the science behind crochet stitches and what actually helps you to make crochet design a breeze. Because once you get how crochet stitches work, it has no secrets for you whatsoever. So we are going to dive into that expert knowledge of Dedri Uys.  Grab your WIP, grab your favorite cup of whatever. Settle yourself in and listen or watch to us babble. Enjoy!  PODCAST LINK: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2364209  YOUTUBE LINK: https://www.youtube.com/@christinacrochetcoach If you want to see more of Dedri's work, here's how to connect  Blog  http://www.lookatwhatimade.net  Instagram @barbertondaisy  Facebook Look At What I Made Pinterest https://uk.pinterest.com/dedri  Youtube Look At What I Made Want to know more about the golden loop and stitch anatomy? Ep 29: Instantly elevate your crochet designs to the next level by doing less

Hi crochet design friends!  How are you? I hope you are well. I am simply swamped, but in a good way.  Busy with a new pattern release + creating all of the audios, videos, assignments and workbooks for The Immersive. My new program that will give you all the tools you need to create a design that's so great, it does the selling for you! (Social media fatique anyone?)  I actually did not plan this episode, but as I was going over an audio for The Immersive, I thought to myself, this is so amazing, I really need to share it with you guys!  When we want to create our best design yet, we think we need to do more: * Cram 20 techniques into one design in order for it to be valuable * Make it really complicated for ourselves and others  * Make sure it is original and intricate, because simple isn't worth paying for (which is a myth btw)    But here's the thing, we actually want to do less. And I know that sounds very counterintuitive. But in this episode I go over why doing less is one of the key things that helps you create your best design yet.    Love  Christina PS: The Immersive is currently closed so I can create it together with the awesome designers that already enrolled, but if you are on the waitlist, you will be the first to know when it opens again.  Loved what you heared? Ep 28: When you are not getting paid for your crochet design time, you are probably focussing on the wrong things [The Immersive is now OPEN]

Hi crochet design friends!  When you want to know if The Immersive is for you, I have recorded a new podcast episode that will give you all the juicy details.  PLUS I go over why a lot of crochet designers do not get the pattern sales they want: they are simply focussing on the wrong things.  And of course I tell you exactly what you want to focus on instead!  And if you are ready to enroll in The Immersive, doors are currently closed, but if you put yourself on the waitlist, you will be the first to know when doors open again.  Love  Christina PS: Doors to The Immersive are only open until March 16 and for the lowest price it will ever be... I really don't know when I open doors again, so if you want to make 2025 your breakthrough crochet design year, don't sleep on it!  PPS: Any questions around if The Immersive is right for you, send me an email: info@christinacrochetcoach.com Loved what you heared? Ep 27: I don't want to be put in a box and other misconceptions around having a unique crochet design style

Hey crochet designer friend!  How are you doing? I hope you are well. I've been so busy with getting everything ready for the challenge to find your unique crochet design style and The Immersive (my new program for designers who want to finally earn back their crochet design time), so I actually didn't plan on this episode.  But because I've been talking a lot about having a unique crochet design style, I received some remarks and questions that I want to clarify.  In this episode I adress the most common misconceptions around having a unique crochet design style:  Having a style is like putting myself in a box Having just one style sounds boring A unique design is something that's very complicated and screams attention and that simply isn't me Among other things 3   PS: There's still time to join the FREE challenge, sign up here  Loved what you heared?
