    Are your horse not ridable? Anne Axell English

    Do you really have to ride to enjoy having a horse? In this episode, I talk about something many horse owners struggle with – the feeling that you're somehow not doing enough if you're not riding your horse. Maybe your horse is injured, older, or simply not rideable. Maybe you've lost your confidence, your motivation, or your interest in riding. Does that make your relationship with your horse any less valuable? Absolutely not. We'll explore the many wonderful things you can do with your horse without ever getting into the saddle. Nature walks, liberty work, trick training, groundwork, clicker training, massage, stretching, or simply spending quiet time together in the pasture. For many horses, these activities can be just as meaningful as being ridden. I also share my thoughts on why we so often allow other people's opinions to influence us. Do we really need to justify having a horse that we don't ride? Or can we choose to create the relationship that feels right for us and our horse?     Är din häst inte ridbar?

    Måste man verkligen rida för att ha glädje av sin häst? I det här avsnittet pratar jag om något som många hästägare brottas med – känslan av att inte leva upp till andras förväntningar om man inte rider sin häst. Kanske är din häst skadad, äldre eller helt enkelt inte ridbar. Kanske har du själv tappat lusten eller självförtroendet för ridningen. Betyder det att relationen med din häst är mindre värdefull? Absolut inte. Vi pratar om alla de fantastiska saker du kan göra tillsammans med din häst utan att sitta i sadeln. Promenader i naturen, frihetsdressyr, trickträning, markarbete, klickerträning, massage, stretching eller bara lugna stunder tillsammans i hagen. För många hästar är just dessa aktiviteter minst lika värdefulla som ridning. Jag delar också mina tankar kring varför vi så ofta låter andra människors åsikter påverka oss. Måste vi verkligen förklara varför vi har en häst som vi inte rider? Eller kan vi välja att skapa den relation som känns rätt för just oss och vår häst?     Your ambitions vs the horse!

How can we become better at listening to our horses without giving up our own dreams?
