We are facing the greatest global pandemic of all time. Burnout, anxiety, stress is at an all time high. People are the greatest asset of an organisation. The better people look after themselves, the better they perform in all areas of life - both at work and home. Every single tiny choice we make during the day is shaping our lives, directly impacting how we feel and experience life. After getting the biggest wake up call of losing everything in my life in 2016 I had no choice but to face my habits and make a change. The changes at first seemed so insignificant that I didn't believe they would make a difference. BUT they did. The Positive Habits Podcast is for people who want to live a better life, with higher energy levels, less stress, better relationships and ultimately to supercharge their performance in all areas of life. I'm on a mission to help people improve their wellbeing with one small habit change.

    How Kitchen Discos Build Confidence

In this episode, Kat is joined by Bella - a rising talent whose energy “jumps off the page” on LinkedIn and into real life. Together, they unpack the small habits that quietly build confidence, protect mental health, and shift your day from autopilot to intentional. They also explore boundaries with social media (and why scrolling can feel like a trance), how to change your mindset by changing what you consume, and the powerful ripple effect of small daily choices - at home, at work, and inside teams. Bella opens up about her work at Purple Story - a people-first business that improves performance by developing leaders and culture and the team habits and values that shape confidence and growth. Selling Homes, Not Houses

In this episode of The Positive Habits Podcast, Kat Thorne is joined by Polly and Jorge, founders of Moovafy, to explore a powerful question: What if buying and selling a home was more human? Polly and Jorge share their personal story of struggling to sell their London home despite it being “a beautiful house” and how that emotionally draining experience led them to uncover what’s missing in today’s property market: human connection. What ultimately sold their home wasn’t a listing or a perfect set of photos - it was a neighbour who felt the energy of their family home. That insight sparked the idea for Moovafy: a platform designed to sit alongside estate agents, not replace them, giving buyers and sellers a space to share their stories, experiences, fears, and hopes - and feel less alone in one of life’s biggest decisions. In this episode, we discuss:Why the property process feels so emotionally heavy for buyers and sellersHow disconnection and digital overload are impacting major life decisionsWhy many sellers want their home to go to the right person - not just the highest bidderThe mental health impact of buying and selling propertyWhy estate agents still matter and how the process can evolveThe startup rollercoaster and the small grounding habits Polly and Jorge rely on This conversation is about more than property - it’s about belonging, identity, and the places we call home. 🎧 If you are in the property market and/or struggling to buy or sell, this episode could really help. Food Fear to Food Joy: Reimagining Pasta

In this episode of The Positive Habits Podcast, Kat is joined by Imogen, co-founder of The Northern Pasta Company, for an honest conversation about food, mental wellbeing, and performance. Imogen shares how living on a small Croatian island during the pandemic transformed her relationship with food and inspired her to create a pasta company rooted in quality, joy, and connection. Together, Kat and Imogen explore how modern food culture, ultra-processed foods, and diet myths impact our energy, mood, and ability to perform at work. They discuss why food shouldn’t be rushed, feared, or guilt-filled and how small, positive habits around eating and cooking can lead to better focus, resilience, and wellbeing. In this episode, we cover: Food, mental health, and performanceBreaking free from diet culture and food shameWhy pasta (yes, pasta!) can be good for youThe power of simple food rituals and shared mealsSmall habits that help you feel better every day 🎧 Tune in for a refreshing reminder that how we eat shapes how we live. ABOUT THE GUEST Imogen Royall is the co-founder of Northern Pasta Co. and the creative force behind its mission to reimagine pasta as something nourishing, joyful and deeply connected to land and people. Inspired by time spent living in Croatia and a growing fascination with British-grown heritage grains, Imogen set out to create pasta rooted in flavour, sustainability and care. Imogen’s relationship with food was shaped early on by complexity. She dropped out of university and spent much of her youth navigating complex PTSD and a difficult relationship with eating, where food became a source of fear and control rather than pleasure. Over time, that fear transformed into fascination and then grew into love. From this experience came a belief that still underpins everything she does today: if food can hold that much fear, it can also hold that much joy. New Years Resolutions Don´t Work - Try this instead

New Year´s resolutions don´t work – but a transformational 2026 is still within your reach. It´s in your control to make it your most impactful year yet. All it takes is one small, positive habit change. Kat explains how to identify which area of your life to focus on and which small yet powerful habit change to make. KEY TAKEAWAYS New Year’s resolutions often fail because they’re too big, vague, and numerous. Real change comes from small, realistic shifts that fit into real life. Start the habit of writing down your thoughts (journaling). That is how you will identify what really matters to you and choose the right small habit change to make. The positive habit commitment that you stick to starts to have this incredible ripple effect. It will improve areas of your life that you can't even imagine. The way to actually achieve all of those goals is to start with one thing. Then, you can stack and you can gradually build on top of it. Specificity and a strong ‘why’ are what turn goals into lasting habits. It’s far more powerful to commit to being a healthy, energised person for life than to chase short‑term fixes like losing weight for a single event. Committing for 21 days builds evidence that you can trust yourself. That single daily habit change creates a ripple effect. It subtly improves areas of your life you didn’t even expect to change. Your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours are both the biggest barrier and the biggest key to your future. BEST MOMENTS “2026 can be the year that you dreamed of. It really can.” " You don't have to say you can do it for the whole year, just start off with doing it for 21 days." "Journaling - it's essentially just writing your thoughts down. That is how you get clarity, that is how you regain control, and that is how you can take your life to a whole new level." ABOUT THE HOST Kat started her career as a teacher, before moving into Tech where she worked in different executive roles within teaching and consulting working across the globe, both in the public and private sector.
