    Feng Shui in Real Time!

    Hello & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo. My name is Laura Beatriz Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today I am going to talk about my personal Shui and share my ongoing journey with you. As you feel yourself changing internally, you will find your environment shifts with you. Listen, there’s no such thing as PERFECT Feng Shui. It’s a moving target. 😉 GOOD Feng Shui is the goal and that means an environment that evolves and pivots with you. Such that change is an ongoing practice. 😀 You are not static, your circumstances are not static and as such your environment is not static. 🙌 Your environment is a mirror or reflection of Your Evolution. The reality is that if you don’t see a reflection of change in what’s around you, then you are not fully evolving. 🪷 When you allow for growth; change and expansion is reflected in your environment. ✨ That includes everything from your home, your inner circle, what food and entertainment you consume and what you give your energy to. The recent eclipse season had a dramatic effect on who and what I give my energy to. 🤯 I also had an epiphany as a result of the Venus Retrograde about my physical space. I decided to revisit my environment and look at my space and circumstances as if I was working with a client. 🤓 I questioned both my circumstances and my surroundings. I asked myself if I was happy and what I would like to see differently. These are the kinds of questions I would ask you. I decided to give myself a VIP Feng Shui Experience! Seriously! I even filled out my new and improved client intake form. I decided to walk myself through an actual client experience. 🧐 When I treated myself and my environment from the vantage point of a practitioner, I was able to see with my Feng Shui eyes what I couldn’t see as the person currently living in my home and circumstances. It was an enlightening experience. 😎 I came up with new activations and adjustments for my prosperity Gua for example. The Prosperity Gua is the area of your home that represents your wealth. I replaced a lovely mirror which was perfectly good Feng Shui with a new Tapestry depicting a captivating Zen Drawing that represents good fortune and harmony. While the mirror was fine there; the Tapestry is a powerful visual cue that serves as an activation that I placed with specific intention. Every time I look at it now, I feel inspired by the composition and energy of the artwork. The piece is thought provoking and engages my imagination around the interconnectedness of everything and how the universe is working on my behalf. It’s a series of three overlapping line filled circles. The separate forms come together as one composition representing heaven, earth and humanity. In Feng Shui we work with 3 kinds of luck Heavenly luck, earthly luck, and human luck. Two out of three we have agency over, earthly luck which refers to our physical actions we take towards our goals and human luck which refers to our attitude and energy or chi. Heavenly luck is divinely guided by destiny and karma. I love staring at the figures and experiencing their relationship to each other. I can’t emphasize enough how powerful the imagery in your environment is to creating your narrative and lived experience. As I referred to earlier nobody has perfect Feng Shui. In my home for example I happen to have a portion of my Skills and Knowledge gua that’s missing and lives just outside my front door. This energetic Center called The Skills & Knowledge Gua and also referred to as the Wisdom Gua is just as important as Love or Money or any other energetic center and theme. It represents Information we seek to teach others and Information we want to learn and acquire for ourselves. A portion of this energetic center resides just outside my front door. The interesting thing about this is how focused I have been this year on learning about sales and marketing and discovering how to integrate business systems and strategies as an entrepreneur. I also have a lot of Knowledge I want to teach and share with the world around Feng Shui. So I definitely don’t take for granted this energy center and its interesting that it’s the only Gua at a deficit therefore calling for my special attention. In Feng Shui your front door or entrance is referred to as The Mouth of Chi/Energy. It’s one of the most important power centers of your home and where your blessings enter. Of course I have cures in place for the missing portion of The Skills & Knowledge Gua but when I was doing my personal report and treating myself as a “VIP Client,” I suddenly came up with more creative and advanced additional cures to really energize this area. It was like puzzle that needed solving and it was time to figure it out! An inviting entrance is incredibly important in Feng Shui. Things like a Welcome Mat and a Wind-chime help activate and welcome chi here. So what I decided to do was update my welcome mats both inside and outside my home with 2 brand new matching super bougie ones. As I pondered the best activation for this Gua I decided to incorporate the image of a majestic mountain which is extremely supportive in Feng Shui. I scoured the internet for welcome mats that depicted a beautiful mountain landscape. Since I can’t hang a picture of a mountain outside my apartment and there’s no room for one near the front door, the welcome mats are the perfect vessel for this imagery. The new Mountain mats will serve as a cure to help connect the portion of energy of my Skills and Knowledge Gua lives outside my apartment with the part that’s inside. The mats I chose also have a flowing river running down the mountain which is very auspicious. Water features or imagery that flows into the home represent abundance and money entering the home so in effect the mats will also beckon abundance into my home. I ordered 2 of them from a vendor in China and they will take several weeks to arrive. I can’t wait!!! I should also mention that the element for the Skills & Knowledge Gua is Earth. One of the most powerful ways to depict earth element in Feng Shui is with a scenic mountain. In Feng Shui Mountains represent support, protection, and stability—the feeling of having something strong behind you. Because this is my skills and knowledge gua, this kind of support is very important. Over the last couple years I have invested heavily in mentorship and advanced training in both my field and in developing my sales and marketing and business systems. As an entrepreneur it’s hard to wear every hat, so I sought training and support in these areas. Other associations with Mountains include: * Support and backing: dependable people, mentors, colleagues, and resources. * Security and protection: a sheltered setting that helps you feel safe and rooted. * Strength and endurance: a solid foundation and the ability to remain steady through change. * Authority and steadfast leadership: mountain imagery has also been used to symbolize a ruler’s stability and support. I feel strongly that implementing this new cure will be powerful for me. The timing of it will also align with and support my integration of all of the elements that I have been taught over the last couple years and in my most recent mentorship container. Learning about something new is one thing. Applying it is another. Integration takes time and practice. As mentioned, I recently completed a Feng Shui Business mentorship container and since then I have been actively applying and integrating all that I have learned into my business processes, my social media presence, my networking and my lifestyle. Giving myself this VIP treatment has been a great exercise! You can’t always see yourself and your situation as clearly as someone looking in from the outside with a fresh lens. PS ~ This is akin to why therapists still need therapy! 😆 I stepped out of my life and reflected on it as I would a paying client. I started by completing my intake form applying that information to my protocol for a Property Report. Then I dove even deeper and gave myself a VIP overview with a thorough analysis of all my Guas and energy centers. I lazered in on all the area’s of opportunity, potential cures and activations just as I would a client. 😍 I uncovered what could be improved because I was looking at it from a fresh lens. The lens of a practitioner. 😘 I came up with creative work arounds for what was missing. I don’t have some of the more typical options I would recommend to someone who had agency over their front yard. In that case I would recommend planting something or digging a crystal into the ground to square off and symbolically complete the missing Gua. Just outside my front door is a concrete public hallway that I don’t have agency over. I am limited to a door mat and a couple plants on either side of my door. I have recommended people use paint to draw a the sacred symbol called the trigram when they are confronted with a missing Gua ending up in their driveway or the sidewalk but my building has strict rules and that wasn’t an option for me. Instead I used clear and invisible fingernail polish to accomplish this with a transcendental cure that nobody sees. The cool thing about Feng Shui is that it’s a physical language and you can get creative by thinking outside of the box for solutions. The obstacle is the path so to speak. It comes down to a practitioner’s imagination and ability to problem solve. In any case, I had a bit of fun solving the missing piece of the puzzle called my Skills & Knowledge Gua using my very own Skills & Knowledge. Haha; see what I just did there. We can always improve upon things and elevate ourselves.     Feng Shui For Fertility…

    Hello & Welcome to the Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo! My name is Laura Beatriz Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today I am back talking about Feng Shui For Baby! You’re probably wondering how does it work? What else would it be good for? Why would I do Feng Shui when there’s IVF? Also what does my house have to do with my fertility? These are all good questions so let’s talk about it. Feng Shui for Baby works in layers. Where it comes to Fertility your general health, your reproductive organs, your nervous system and mental state of mind all contribute to your fertility outcome. So does your sex life so there’s a number of layers right there. From a Feng Shui perspective all of these layers are mirrored somewhere in your home. You can actually look at your physical environment as a Living Breathing 3 D Vision Board. There’s an area of your home that represents your Children & Creativity, and an area that represents your Health and an area that represents Family and even an area that represents your Love life! So many layers and they are reflected all around you in your physical environment where Feng Shui adjustments can provide breakthroughs. Seeing your space through Feng Shui eyes can reveal energetic blocks. It can get even more granular in that there are areas of your home that represent specific parts of your body. For example a woman’s reproductive organs are represented in her relationship Gua and activating this Gua with specific cures can be life changing. In Chinese medicine Feng Shui actually serves as a diagnostic tool. Some of the same meridians Acupuncturist’s treat in the body actually have a corresponding area of the home that reflects what is happening with you physically. For example REN Mai or the conception vessel that we refer to as the uterus is represented in the love Gua of your home and bedroom. This is considered Yin or feminine energy . When your spending Thousands of dollars on Fertility treatments that are taxing your body It could actually be a welcome relief for you to know that there are holistic treatments options that are really quite pleasant and cost a fraction of the price of invasive Western treatments. A Holistic approach can actually improve all areas of your life without incurring the health risks and side effects associated with IVF. Now that you’re looking at it from a whole new perspective! You’re probably thinking ok tell me more! When you Consider the financial and physical investment required to pursue fertility treatments versus Feng Shui & Accupuncture. They become viable options worth considering. They also have the side effect of improving other aspects of your life. Feng Shui for example creates a setting that’s designed and aligned with your highest good. IVF is a five-figure investment: roughly $20,000–$30,000 for one round when paying out of pocket, including medications. Simpler fertility treatments can cost less. California clinics publish ranges between $17,000–$30,000 for a complete IVF cycle, depending on what’s included. Feng Shui is a fraction of this and doesn’t come with the negative side effects. Neither can guarantee a baby but in a cost benefit analyses all of the approaches are worth considering. I’m interested in moving the conversation towards holistic options that don’t pose health risks. It’s also worth exploring from a cost benefit analysis perspective where your finances are concerned as well. The older you are the more profoundly stark the Statistics become where it comes to IVF success rates. The numbers show a sharp decrease in fertility success rates for IVF with hormonal interventions for women over 40. With a statistic of 4.1 percent birth success rate for women over 42 versus around 40% success rate for women between 35-37. To summarize regardless of age, Feng Shui & Accupuncture provides a financially accessible zero health risk option with a high overall wellness upside. I recommend addressing both physical and environmental factors with a combination of Accupuncture & Feng Shui. I have recently started having conversations with Acupuncturist’s to partner and refer clients so we work in tandem for optimal results. Accupuncture and Feng Shui are both forms of Chinese medicine and complementary modalities. I just did Feng Shui for an Acupuncturist I recently met and she gave me Accupuncture. We are talking about having her come on the pod so stay tuned for that. The premise of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is that health depends on balance within the body and harmony with your environment. It views the body as an interconnected system, where physical symptoms, emotions, lifestyle, and the seasons influence one another. I can’t wait to have a conversation on camera exploring this further!     Feng Shui Your Way Through The Venus & Mercury Retrogrades

    Hello & Welcome to the Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo. My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady!Today I want to talk about how to Feng Shui Your Way Through Venus & Mercury Retrogrades! There are actually very productive ways to navigate this time period! Instead of getting all doom and gloom about it, I’m going to share some Feng Shui hacks to actually make this fun and fruitful.First let me explain the Astrology of it all. We have an extended period of reflection and revision in the areas of Love & Communication happening until mid December. Yes you heard me correctly. That’s pretty much the rest of the year. And where Venus is concerned it’s been going on since August 31st when Venus entered its pre-shadow retrograde phase.I have personally been leaning into it and am here to help you lean into it too!We officially enter the Venus & Mercury Retrograde on October 3d when Mercury enters its Shadow Retrograde period at the same time that Venus officially goes retrograde.Venus is the planet of Love, beauty, luxury, and aesthetics. So relationships, beauty, and decor undergo an auditing period.Adjacent to Venus being in a state of flux, Mercury the planet of communication and tech also retrogrades. Mercury’s pre-shadow begins on October 4th and officially retrogrades October 24 to November 13 but not out of the post shadow until November 30th. Venus has a longer post retrograde that continues through December 15thWe will all have reasons to reflect on how we are expressing ourselves and communication will require careful consideration all the while our romantic lives and aesthetics will be in flux.Let’s make the most of this time shall we? When Venus is in this state of flux it’s not the time to make permanent decisions about love, or aesthetics. For example not a great time to get married or buy expensive clothing or furniture or get a new hairstyle or cosmetic procedure.Where it comes to fashion, beauty, and decor. This is when we can revisit our fashion past, shop our closets, rotate our art and throw pillows. For example I just rotated my art right before filming replacing my Sun art with My Love is all in honor of Venus and to be on theme with this episode. I also rotated a few of my throw pillows. This zhuzhing was with art and pillows I already own. The idea is to try and work with what you already have or have tried instead of heavily investing in anything brand new.That said, one of the most productive activities you could focus on is auditing your closet. This allows you to focus on the pieces that look best on you and to curate wardrobe capsules for specific occasions and themes.If you do this systematically, you will find and curate your most flattering and elevated wardrobe looks for your best life. Seriously let’s Marie Kondo it! You will also be channeling the energies of Venus in the most positive and aligned way. It’s a big project but a fun one! Listen you have several months to get in there and categorize what needs to be styled, taken to the seamstress, donated, sold, gifted and capsuled.I have been going through my own clothes and trying everything single article on to see what is still working for me. I pulled 4 large bags of clothes from my wardrobe so far! I sold and traded at least one bag full and gifted 2. I have one more to go!My work around for shopping during Venus Retrograde is Selling for Trade! Returns & Exchanges also come in handy through December 15th.The clothes I sold and traded at Crossroad’s since August 31st to now ended up garnering me some amazing new additions to my closet without making any big financial investments. Among the standouts that I acquired through trade were a sexy red dress and power skirt with a cute top that I love. Red is a very new revelation to my wardrobe! It is this year’s power color because it’s the year of The Fire Horse and fire element and colors are a great way to channel this energy. I also found the prettiest most cheerful Tiffany blue floral dress. Venus Retrograde can sometimes lead to finding stand out pieces in unusual or low stakes ways. Sometimes you can experiment during this time and later change your mind which is why low stakes is the name of the game. You can also use Poshmark to sell and purchase clothes which is another great work around for Venus Retrograde! The idea is to avoid spending a lot of money on anything. My favorite part of my closet audit so far was the gifting part! I invited a couple girlfriends over, served wine, and let them basically shop my closet edits that hadn’t sold or been traded.One of my friends said she only had like five outfits to her name so it was heartwarming to see her pull an entirely new wardrobe from my left overs. Both of my friends rocked those clothes and it made a real impact for them. They both ended up with clothes they could wear for work and business as well as pieces they could apply to their social and romantic lives. It was really fun and rewarding to watch them play dress up. You can re-home your former clothes by selling, donating or gifting them. Gifting allows you to know who will be living with and loving your former clothes!I highly recommend this type of exchange. It’s good Karma for your wardrobe in a pay it forward kind of way! The universe will reward you. It has certainly rewarded me with optimal replacements and energetic space.You truly can use this time to refine your wardrobe without breaking the bank. Even if you end up technically with less clothes, you will have a way better wardrobe!Without all the clutter of clothes that don’t suit you, your best looks can now get the attention they deserve! I found this dress in the back of my closet sadly being ignored and now she’s front and center! This is also a Feng Shui Relationship Hack. If you are single like myself and your closet is overflowing with clothes like mine was, then there’s no room energetically for a partner. If you edit about 25% of your closet to make some space this will help magnetize and invite a new lover into your life. Sometimes less is more.Let me tell you it’s a worthwhile task and something you can sink your teeth into these next couple months while Venus retrogrades for an extended period of time.While dating anyone new is a little tricky right now with Venus in Scorpio and Retrograde. It’s advisable to focus instead on feathering your nest to make space for love for when the time is right. For those already in a relationship, it’s a good time to cultivate it and work on any relationship kinks so to speak.Venus in Scorpio is kinda like channeling Glenn Close’s character in Fatal Attraction. No bueno… If you do meet someone new during this time, just pace yourself and the relationship. Allow it to unfold with greater clarity in December.My advice to my single ladies; invest in some adult toys to keep your sanity in tact until December 15th when Venus finally gets her mojo back. A healing form of tantra in the meantime would be to harness the sexual energy you experience when you play with your “toys” as you envision your future partner. Venus retrograde asks us to take stock of our relationship patterns and release the ones that no longer serve us through some form of therapy, or perhaps journaling. Your bedroom is where the Magic Happens in your relationships so another productive use of this time is to Feng Shui it to uncover any energetic blocks to love. My Bedroom Feng Shui course is perfect for that and I will include a link in the show notes for you.Listen, I’m actually considering doing some past life regression with a therapist during this time to explore my relationship patterns across previous lives… I’ll circle back here on that of course.Ok, let’s talk wardrobe capsules! You can curate a dating wardrobe and build a capsule for love and all your other activities. I actually just built and photographed capsules for dating, networking, holiday parties, and an exotic vacation etc. I’m not kidding! This takes time and energy but it’s a lot of fun and a very productive use of this time. Having curated picture albums of your wardrobe allows you to pick out an outfit from your wardrobe capsules based on what you have going on that day! No more staring at your closet in a daze and wondering what to wear. This creates a system of dressing with intention that feels like online shopping from your closet that you can do from your phone. You can pick out your outfit while you’re doing your hair and make up from your vanity or while still in bed planning your day ahead. I now have all my clothes styled, pictured and stored in capsule albums on my phone. Whenever I purchase something new it gets styled, photographed and added to a capsule. I’m considering offering this as a service where I assist women and I either come over or FaceTime with you to systematically audit your closet and apply the aforementioned systems so you can shop your own closet as I just described. I will also teach you the energetics of your clothes and how they can serve you as a manifesting tool. I’d love any feedback you guys have on this. I’m currently in the beta testing phase…The Creation of certain capsules for future activities like a Dating or Vacation capsule actually serves as a manifesting ritual. You can create a wardrobe for the life you are calling in. When it arrives you are now dressed for the part that you have been preparing for and cultivating through your intentions, actions and projections! That’s really all that manifesting is. Aligning yourself with your desires.Clothes are how you advertise yourself and the role you want to play. You can genuinely use them as a manifesting tool! In pragmatic terms think of your wardrobe as your biggest sales and marketing tool. You are the billboard!     The Top 5 Most Vital Times for Feng Shui!

    Hello and Welcome to the Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo. My name is Laura Beatriz Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today I am sharing some Feng Shui insights. If you have been listening or watching me for a while you know how passionate I am about Feng Shui as a Wellness Practice. I often refer to Epigenetic’s and the impact our environment has on our gene expression and health outcomes! So practicing Feng Shui is not just an aesthetic expression. However the aesthetic benefits are a lovely aspect to its broader benefits. Feng Shui is actually one of the 5 Branches of Chinese Medicine and serves as both a diagnostic tool and an ingredient in your healing journey. Your space is a mirror of your current circumstances and with Feng Shui you can have some agency over those circumstances. When you dive even deeper into Feng Shui and its more mystical practices it also serves as a manifesting tool and was originally only accessible to the ruling class for 1000’s of years. I believe that’s why people born into or surrounded by generational wealth don’t experience the same money blocks that most people struggle with. They grow up surrounded by opulence and good Feng Shui. In today’s episode I want to talk about when the most vital times to invest in Feng Shui are. My top Five examples include when you are Decorating, Moving, Renting, Buying or Investing in property. Whether you rent, own or have stake in an investment property, decorating and furnishing it, is an opportunity to Feng Shui and space plan with intention to maximize on your properties full energetic potential. That’s the perfect time to reach out for a VIP Feng Shui Experience. Your experience of home will transform from a nice roof over your head to a living breathing 3 D Vision Board. What you learn in a VIP Feng Shui container will not only serve you in your current home or business but everywhere you go because once you start to see the world through the lens of Feng Shui you will have a whole new world view. Feng Shui is a physical language. Everything everywhere around you is communicating and activating something. An even more critical time to reach out for a Feng Shui Property Report is prior to making a big investment in a rental, purchase or investment property. That will make the difference between you selecting a property that could be a liability versus an asset. You are about to spend a large sum of money and commit to physical space that you will either rent and live in, own and reside in, or invest handsomely in with the hopes of some ROI.     Fanning The Flames of Fire 🔥 & Stepping into your power…

    Hello & Welcome To The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui & other Woo! My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady… Today’s Episode is called “Fanning The Flames of Fire 🔥 & Stepping into your power!” I missed the last 2 weeks of the Pod because I was super busy behind the scenes preparing to launch a new course where I delve into how to Feng Shui your vessel and by that I mean your body and your clothes. Today I am giving you a preview of how to work with the Feng Shui Elements not just in your home but on your person! Fire is one of the 5 elements in Feng Shui and one of the most obvious ways of wearing and representing it is by wearing the color red or red spectrum colors like orange and fuchsia. You can Feng Shui not only your home but your wardrobe to harness elemental energy and archetypes! Red energetically attracts attention and connection. You can benefit from wearing it in circumstances where you want to be noticed and you welcome connection and attention. Red imbues you with Main Character Energy and I refer to it’s archetypal energy the Social Butterfly/Siren. It’s such an activating color that it can also activate aggression and overstimulation. e.g. You might want to wear it on a hot date but not to a contentious legal proceeding. Red is a power color in Feng Shui and is also considered lucky and auspicious in China where brides traditionally wear it on their wedding days. This is the year of the Fire Horse so red is definitely a power color this year! I have historically not worn red and barely ever owned any garments in that color. I didn’t feel comfortable wearing red and struggled to find a flattering shade that worked with my complexion. I used to primarily wear black to the exclusion of every other color. Especially when I was younger. My mom would always mock my sense of style and question why I always dressed as if I was headed to a funeral or in mourning. She had a way with words…. She wasn’t wrong because I was a little sad growing up and during my coming of age years. I wasn’t comfortable in my skin and I didn’t really want to be seen. My attitude towards Fire element and the color and energy of Red has recently changed. I just updated my wardrobe with a few key pieces including 2 flirty red dresses and a red power skirt. I was updating my dating capsule with a couple dresses and I wanted a power skirt for my business networking capsule. You don’t have to wear a color from head to toe for it to have an impact but if you are going to do it finding the correct shade for your skin tone is important. As a winter, I look best in reds with a blue, berry, or slightly pink undertone rather than orange, rust, or brown. I think I nailed it! Have you found your true red?
