Feng Shui For The Divine Feminine & Masculine

Hello & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other woo. My name is Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today’s episode is called Feng Shui For The Divine Feminine & Masculine, a balance of Yin & Yang… Yin & Yang refer to a series of opposites in Feng Shui starting with Female & Masculine Energy, Dark and Light, Big and Small etc. We seek for a balance between these energies in our homes and our lives. A yin environment is a small dark cozy space filled with lots of little details and objects and more muted colors. A yang environment is a large well lit space with minimal furnishings and bright colors. The idea is to find balance and harmony between the 2 extremes. A bedroom for example is meant to be more intimate and Yin, while a living room would be more Yang and open. I recently started developing a new approach to my Messaging around Feng Shui because I noticed nobody else in my lane was speaking directly to men. I love men! If you met my Dad you would understand why! I hear a lot of divisive talk around the dynamics between men and women. I have certainly seen and experienced the dark underbelly of toxic masculinity but it has never occurred to me to put all men in that ugly little box. I’m here for the Yin & the Yang! For close to 2 decades my typical clients have been women because they are drawn to topics like Feng Shui, Astrology and Numerology etc. Men much less so. However when men have hired me they are ideal clients because they are action oriented and will move s**t around without hesitation. The key with Feng Shui as with anything is that you actually have to do it in order for it to work. You can have the best consultant in the world but if you don’t take action on the recommendations it’s completely useless. I love working with men for this reason because if they are invested enough to hire me they will follow my guidance with enthusiasm and an eye on the prize. By that I mean their goals. My new approach in the way I communicate about Feng Shui was partially inspired by conversations I have been having with men as well as women. I noticed when I speak to men about Feng Shui they perk up around the history of it and how it was originally Exclusively for Kings & Queens and the Elite class. That’s why Feng Shui is associated with generational wealth. In certain High a net worth circles it’s understood that Feng Shui is a given where it comes to real estate, commercial and investment properties. It wasn’t until I entered those rooms and started having those conversations that I realized there’s a segment of upper class society that doesn’t need to be convinced about Feng Shui. I swear that would have been useful information at the beginning of my career. The connection with money and power is very compelling to men. I am just now broaching the subject of what it could do for their love lives! That’s the conversation I typically have with women around Feng Shui however for women my languaging is more romantic and babies are part of the conversation. While with men I am becoming more Frank about love and sex. Men & Women both ultimately want the same thing but we communicate about it differently. I’m finding my voice with this new approach and bridging the gap between what men and women want to invite into their lives and with each other. The one thing I hadn’t really talked about directly until now was sex. That seemed a bit bold until recently. The reality is that the recipe for Love & Babies includes Sex. It’s life force energy and It’s the ultimate manifesting tool. In order to specialize in Feng Shui for the Divine Feminine & Masculine sex needs to be part of the conversation. Especially now that I’m talking to the Fellas. I’m so psyched to help dudes aka The Divine Masculine as well the Ladies! I have felt called with literal downloads and messaging specifically for men! Just check out my Instagram feed and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Listen, I’m still here for my gals in fact my work with men helps them create sacred space for us and the divine feminine. After working with me your man will never leave the toilet seat up again because he will understand that it causes his money to go down the drain. The thing that I have come to learn about human nature is that sometimes people can’t take certain actions because they instinctively aren’t ready for the changes those actions will bring. We all have our blind spots or blocks. When someone is actually ready, they will suddenly feel a sense of urgency and make the changes. What I love about Feng Shui is how whatever is not working in your life is reflected in your home. If your money is going down the drain it’s hard to miss. If you’re having issues in your relationships and they feel imbalanced visit both your bedroom and your love Gua. Your love Gua may be outside the bedroom but regardless the bedroom and how it is arranged will always be a reflection of your relationships. I want to mention here that relationships and the love Gua don’t just represent romantic relationships. They also represent relationships in general. So the same issues of imbalance that can exist in your romantic relationships can also exist in all manner of relationships including your friendships, business colleagues and acquaintances. Asymmetrical relationships where there’s an imbalance in the give and take can be reflected by only having one night stand or having one much larger night stand or lamp on one side versus the other. Having your bed shoved up against the wall is another example and reflects a sense of entrapment by either yourself or the people in relationship with you. You want symmetry and a natural flow of energy in and around your bed and in your relationships. You don’t even need to desire a romantic relationship to desire harmonious connections. Sometimes we are in a personal chapter in our lives where we are focused on our mission and love feels like a distraction. This is all well and good but not a reason to dismiss the principles of symmetry. We need other people in our lives besides lovers who are supportive and for whom we are able to show up for in kind. If someone says they want a relationship or love or sex or companionship etc but resists centering their bed or getting 2 night stands. That is a personal block they have because on some level they know they aren’t ready or truly open to inviting someone in. It can be a control issue or fear of losing their independence. That same person might immediately make changes to their money Gua because that is their priority at that point in time. My job is to read the room and reflect it back to you. I provide solutions for the blocks and it’s up to you to decide what you are ready to take action on. I especially love working with homes and helping people create sacred space for love and abundance. My whole career has leaned towards a more intimate and Yin approach. As I evolve and find my voice a new more Yang perspective is emerging and I feel called to speak to the interest of both men and women. I’m all about the Yin & The Yang. Everybody wins! Feng Shui Can Save Your Life!!!

Hello & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo. My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady! What if I told you Feng Shui could save your life? Sounds a little dramatic I know but I’m not just being super extra. I have science to back this up. While it’s easy to dismiss a practice like Feng Shui as just a Design Aesthetic or some obscure woo practice, it is in fact one of the 5 branches of Chinese medicine along with Accupuncture, Qi Gong, Herbalism, Massage. It’s an earth science that is over 5000 Years old. Feng Shui is a diagnostic tool used to uncover what is not working in your life as it is reflected in your environment. It’s uncanny how your much your home reveals about you. When I see a bed with just one night stand that’s shoved against a wall. That reads as single or someone in a really toxic relationship. This set up can lead to one partner feeling trapped in the relationship. It doesn’t make space for a union in which 2 people see eye to eye. Regardless of gender, when I see a home with a lot of art of beautiful alluring woman depicted alone, that also screams single. She’s alone get it? If it’s a woman’s home she is emphasizing her singleness. Same for a man! Even though he is surrounded by all these women, they are unattainable. If she was paired up with someone or there was a piece of art nearby depicting either a man or another woman depending on your sexual orientation that would be another story. Then we have Western science and Epigenetic’s, which is the science of how environmental factors activate our genes. Feng Shui From the scientific perspective of Epigenetic’s, speaks to how our environment dictates our gene expression and ultimately our health outcomes. So changes in how genes are expressed are determined by environmental factors. My job is to help people design the most energetically supportive and aspirational environment that supports folks physically, psychologically and energetically. When you optimize your physical space, your home becomes more than just a soft place to land. It transcends mundane necessities and becomes a living breathing 3d vision board for your hopes and dreams. I look at homes as our most powerful manifesting tools. How we live, where we live and who we live with takes on so much more import than most people realize. That saying “better to be alone than in bad company”. Comes to mind. Other peoples energy can legitimately deplete us if there is friction. Set & Setting can go a long way to soften the blow but when part of your environment is someone with whom you have a lot of friction, you might want to start by removing either yourself or them. The more agency you have over your environment the more you are able to manifest. At the recording of this pod we are between eclipses an excellent time for clearing your environment and making space for your blessings. I can’t think of a better time to declutter and deep clean your home. Sage and Palo Santo and some high Frequency music while you’re recalibrating your space. A salt bath for your own vessel when your done would be very beneficial. From the lens of Epigenetic’s, the more stressors and toxic influences in your environment, the more you are likely to fall ill and well die. So yes Feng Shui can save your life! What or who are you living with that presents as toxic? It could be as subtle as an ugly painting your mom gave you that makes you cringe every time you look at it but you feel obligated to keep it. Here’s your permission to replace it with a piece of art that lights you up every time you see it and reinforces an aspiration you have. Or it could be much more consequential, like the person you share a home with and once loved but with whom that bond has become untenable. The eclipse gives us a window that serves as an exit strategy. Something or someone leaves or is eclipsed out so the universe can bring you alignment and harmony with something or someone else. Yay, I’m so pleased that I managed to include Feng Shui, Astrology and Epigenetic’s in this episode! They are all connected. We are all connected. Wishing you all so many blessings this eclipse season. Feng Shui Your August Astrology!!!

Hello & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo. My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady! Today I’m talking about the intense and pivotal August Astrology. Think The Matrix meets Disclosure vibes! It’s a wild sky. I believe we are all feeling it. I actually had an astrology expert lined up for today and when they had to cancel at the last minute, I took it as a sign to speak on Astrology with my Feng Shui Lens. Because here’s the thing My work with Feng Shui is closely aligned with Astrology. Specific rituals, activations and energy work are dictated by the lunar cycles so I am very attuned with what’s happening Astrologically. This is such a big month energetically that I couldn’t escape talking about the Astrology of it all. We are currently in what is called The Lions Gate Portal and it peaks on Saturday August 8th and completes on the 12th. This episode drops on Friday August 7 just in time for Lions Gate. The Lion’s Gate Portal is a modern spiritual concept that happens every year on August 8 (8/8). Many people who follow astrology, numerology, and energy work believe it’s a particularly powerful time for setting intentions, reflecting, and focusing on personal transformation. So Saturday 8/8/26 which is actually a triple 8 because 26 reduces to the number 8. Is The Day After this Podcast Drops! I felt called to speak on this and share some insights and Feng Shui tools for navigating this powerful time. Lions Gate is based on a blend of ideas: * Leo season: The Sun is in Leo, a sign associated with confidence, creativity, courage, and the heart. * The star Sirius: Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, has long held symbolic importance, especially in ancient Egypt, where its annual reappearance coincided with the flooding of the Nile and was seen as a sign of renewal. * The number 8: In numerology, 8 symbolizes abundance, personal power, achievement, and the infinity symbol (∞). Because the portal peaks on 8/8, many view it as amplifying those themes. Here’s are some ways you can work with these energies and apply Feng Shui to cultivate your hopes and dreams. I would start by downloading my Free Feng Shui Basics course that comes with a free Bagua Map Download and an explanation on how to apply it. You can use this energy map to find the areas and themes of your home that activate your goals whether it’s Love, Money, to Health, or Career etc. Pick one or a few areas to focus on and find them in your home with the Bagua Map and: * Declutter any area connected to a goal you’re cultivating. * Refresh your wealth or career area if you’re focused on abundance. * Open windows, bring in fresh flowers, or light a candle to symbolize inviting new energy. * Write one clear intention and place it somewhere you’ll see it daily. These are simple activities that would be aligned with Saturdays 8/8 Portal. Even on Sunday the energy should still be in your favor. Leo Season Is Roaring with even more Astrological highlights. We have 2 Eclipses this month! A New Moon Solar Eclipse on 8/12/26 in Leo & a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on 8/28/26 The caveat here is that Eclipse’s are not the time to try to Manifest anything specific or force your will. The paradox of Lions Gate as an initiation portal this month versus eclipse season which is more of a hand of god and divine intervention moment rather than manifesting one…. Once we move past Lions Gate and into the eclipses you’ll want to see what the universe delivers and respond to things rather than initiating them. The signs will present themselves often as non negotiable changes that happen to us and ultimately for us even if they weren’t by choice. I can share personal examples to give life and context to how Lions Gate and the eclipses can work in your own life. During last year’s Lions gate I called in love with specific Feng Shui adjustments to my Love Gua. I actually met and started dating a soulmate after 2 years of celibacy on Lions Gate! It was intense and I was happy with my new lover for the first time in ages perhaps ever. We were pretty hot and heavy. Then a few weeks later the Eclipses happened my brother got very sick. My mother had passed away in February of last year and my father had been in steep decline ever since. Fortunately my brother lived with my father and was taking care of him but now he was facing a quadruple heart bypass and Kidney cancer simultaneously. I s**t you not! Even though I had just started a relationship and redecorated and Feng Shui’d my home, I was put in a position where I had to move to be close to my family. I feared the worst. That my brother would pass and I would need to step in and take care of my father. They needed me and it was time to move. I did not want to move. But I had to trust and believe that there was a blessing on the other side of that transition. My relationship got me through the transition and was a blessing but ultimately ended due to the distance. While the transition and move had its challenges and weren’t something I would have “chosen,” it all worked in my favor. The life I am building now is so much more fulfilling and expansive than my life in LA. All the things I had wanted in a home for years suddenly materialized like a pool and jaccuzi. An in unit Washer and Dryer. A large walk in closet. A balcony with a beautiful view. Living 15 minutes from the beach. A dedicated space for my home office. Really good and aligned Feng Shui that includes having my bedroom in the Love Gua of my home. All of it was such a huge upgrade! Don’t even get me started on how much more relaxing life is in Orange County! There’s no traffic here and parking everywhere! If you live in LA you understand the sheer torture of driving and parking there. There’s no potholes here or homeless encampments! I had no idea how much of a toll it actually took on me to constantly be exposed to that whenever I left my house in LA. My nervous system is different now. I’m not as much of a recluse. I actually Network on a regular basis here and gleefully leave my house! I Iook back at my life in LA and wince because the last few years the city took a dark turn. The pandemic hit us hard and so many amazing businesses vanished and were replaced with homeless encampments. It became impossible to ignore. I have a hard time going back there now because the energy of the city feels heavy to me. I now marvel at my good fortune. Yet I still remember how much initial resistance I had around leaving LA. All this to say don’t judge the changes that may come your way until the dust has settled! I have also made new friends and a growing community here and I feel so blessed. It was divinely guided by the post Lions Gate Eclipse Season of 2025. A year filled with the highest highs and lowest lows. It was dramatic and life changing and uncomfortable but for my highest good. I hope my story gives you some context around what is possible under the influence of the Lions Gate Portal and Eclipses. Don’t be scared. Get excited and lean in! I used Feng Shui all along the way to navigate these energies and maximize on the energetic potential of my former home and my new and much improved one. I will be testing out a brand new Manifesting Ritual on Lions Gate that my mentor recently handed down to me. After that I plan to sit back and see what the Universe has in mind for me! In case you were wondering, my brother survived both the quadruple heart bypass and the removal of his Cancerous Kidney. He is now thriving and taking care of my Dad. I’m close to him and my father and appreciate the importance of family and coming home. Home is my medicine and it can be yours too! I hope you will feel called to download my Free Feng Shui Basics course and use some of the tips and techniques I share in that mini-course to navigate this month and beyond. It’s my Lions Gate Gift to you! I will have a link to the course in the show notes along with my Link-tree with all my offerings and all the ways I can be of service. I want to wish everyone a blessed Leo season of change and transformation. Also remember that what can appear daunting and undesirable can ultimately turn out to be your greatest blessing especially when it’s delivered through the divine intervention of Eclipses. Feng Shui For The Fellas!

Hello & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other woo. My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today’s episode is called “Feng Shui For The Fellas”! While most of my clients have traditionally been women, I recently joined the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce and I meet a lot of professional men who express interest in what I do. I sometimes have a little more explaining to do on what Feng Shui is and it’s a very different conversation than the one I have with women. Men love hearing about how Feng Shui was originally just for kings and queens and the elite class in order to keep them in power. It’s associated with generational wealth and the practices that were kept from the masses for thousands of years. Guys want in on that secret sauce so to speak. Women are usually more interested in how Feng Shui can help them make space for love and babies and greater success in their businesses. They connect more deeply with Feng Shui as a Manifesting tool while men are more focused on it as a money magnet. It’s all of the above but I now have 2 different elevator pitches depending on who I am talking to. Some women will get the male elevator pitch if I sense she is especially motivated by money or is completely closed of to anything woo. But usually it’s Love & Babies & Manifesting that are catnip for ladies. I haven’t really put it out there yet with men but Feng Shui is also a way to attract the opposite sex or the same sex depending on your preference. To put it bluntly Gentlemen, Feng Shui can help you get laid. I have been ruminating over the idea of creating a program called Feng Shui For The Fellas. Currently the kind of professional men I appeal to are often connected in some way with Real Estate, Construction, Property Investment etc. They care about property and resale values so my Property Reports are right up their alley. The more affluent they are, the more familiar they are with the importance of Feng Shui especially where it comes to property values. I don’t ever broach the subject of how it could help their love lives. And yet, I have that conversation with women all the time because it just comes up naturally. The truth is Men who want more fulfilling love lives could definitely benefit from Feng Shui and make their homes more inviting and welcoming to potential partners or enhance and heal the relationships they currently have. Men might not realize how the manner in which they have arranged their homes could be c**k blocking them. They might not know that only having one night stand is communicating to potential lovers that you don’t have room for them and they aren’t welcome to stay. You probably haven’t given much thought to how the aggressive artwork depicting a Volcano or Animals in mortal combat hanging over your bed might be received as a red flag to your potential lover. I could go on and on. Single men in particular could really benefit from some good Shui. Gentlemen what are you doing to create a setting for the woman of your dreams? Is there any closet space for her? Do you have a romantic nook to serve her dinner? Have you stocked your fridge with things she would appreciate like a fine wine or fancy chocolates? Here’s a couple Feng Shui tips for the gentleman out there that want to create a setting for romance. First off I want to say that women tend to be more comfortable being intimate for the first time with you in their own homes. Set and setting matter and women not only like a cozy setting, we like to have our pretty lingerie and lotions and potions at our fingertips. That said, once she agrees to visit your space, she will be scanning it for clues about who you are and if she could see herself with you. The more aesthetically pleasing and inviting your space is gentlemen, the more likely she will be able to relax. It should go without saying that your home should be clean! Stock that fridge with things she likes and for the love of god find out her coffee or morning beverage preferences and have them on hand. The 2 night stands I mentioned matter even if you live alone. That second night stand is for your lover so you might want to stock it with things to make her more comfortable. Most of these same principles apply to both sexes by the way, but for the purposes of this pod I am referring to what ladies usually like. Things like a scented candle, some lotion, an eye mask so she has a good nights sleep next to you. Thoughtful things that your ideal partner would like. You could even have a book on a subject you would like to share with a lover. Perhaps something on relationships or tantra. Conversely, for my ladies these same principles apply. For example I tend to date men who like Whiskey so I keep it stocked in my bar and now suddenly I like Whiskey. I keep a new toothbrush for guests in my bathroom and a spare eye mask in my nightstand. Think about what would make your ideal lover comfortable. In this vain I am thinking about creating a Feng Shui for the Fellas program or perhaps doing speaking engagements for men’s groups to help them not just become money magnets but also ladies men. It’s a thought. I’m using these last few days of the Mercury Retrograde which ends on July 23 to suss out ideas and projects I want to pursue. The post Mercury Retrograde Shadow period ends in early August so I’m mulling a few things over to perhaps implement in August. What are your thoughts on this matter? I welcome your feedback! Are there men’s groups I should reach out to? Let me know in the comments! All right folks that’s what I have for you today, please remember to subscribe, like and share! It helps support my work and spread the love. For anyone who wants to work with me virtually anywhere or in person in Orange County or Los Angeles, I’m sharing my scheduling link in the show-notes. Foundational Feng Shui

Hello & Welcome to The Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui wisdom and other Woo. My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today I am talking about some Foundational Feng Shui principles that you can easily apply to your life! One of the most Feng Shui things you can do without even knowing anything about Feng Shui is cleaning your house. And just like Feng Shui, it’s a practice that needs to be maintained on a weekly or at least monthly basis. It’s not a one and done actively. When I clean my house it’s almost a sacred act for me. Cleaning is actually an energetic reset and recharge for your space. It’s as important to your environment and your relationship with it as sleep is to your health and your body. Imagine if you never did the dishes after cooking or never washed your clothes or bathed. That would be disgusting. Decluttering is another layer of cleaning and clearing your space as well and that is also foundational to Feng Shui. It’s something else you have to maintain and do periodically especially if you’re a big consumer of clothes and objects like me. Too much stuff can create a kind of chaos. It can cause you to feel both overwhelmed and paralyzed. This happens when there’s no room for your energy to maneuver due to the clutter and the good things in your life get lost under the crap you don’t need. Meanwhile new positive influences have no room to enter. I have a phrase I live by and that’s You have to make sacred space for your blessings. So if you treat cleaning and decluttering like a sacred act or manifesting ritual, these activities and their cumulative results take on a different role in your life. Your relationship with your environment becomes more intimate causal and powerful. Space clearing with tools like bells, singing bowls and drums can really level up your cleaning ritual into a manifesting ritual. I’m not saying I pull out my frame drum or singing bowl every time I clean, but I will often ring a small bell to bless and activate the space after a good cleaning. I typically bring out the big guns like the Drum and Singing bowl when I am actively performing a manifesting ritual or something dramatic has occurred that requires special attention. Ideally, I try to align elevated space clearing activities with specific lunar cycles or life changing circumstances. The more you change and evolve, the more your environment and the things in it need to shift along with you. I see this with decor and wardrobe and even homes we have outgrown. You can really accelerate change in your life by decluttering and redecorating. Sometimes it can be a change in circumstances that forces the decluttering and redecorating, but in my personal experience it’s usually the latter. The more I declutter and redecorate, and update my home and wardrobe, the more my circumstances change and shift to match up with those changes and invite new positive circumstances. If a move is forced upon you by circumstances, trust and believe the universe is stepping in and moving you out of your stagnation for good reason. In fact if it’s circumstances that push you to move, no matter how uncomfortable or inconvenient the circumstances may appear, there’s a huge blessing on the other side of that. I can definitely attest to this. Last year I was forced to move closer to family after my mother passed away and my brother fell ill. Like clockwork this coincided with my complete home makeover and the start of a New Romantic relationship. I had changed so much in my environment that my life no longer fit who, what and where I was. I moved, my relationship ended, I reimagined my business and made new friends and community. Now I feel so blessed to be in a much more elevated environment, community and set of circumstances. Even though the transition was challenging and a bit scary, it felt guided and aligned and I am grateful for my new life. If you want to change your life, Feng Shui is a vehicle for change. Sometimes that change can be unpredictable or even uncomfortable. When you collaborate with your environment and the divine, universal forces become unleashed to work in your favor. Once you get comfortable with that, you can lean into the changes the divine has in store for you and enjoy the ride. Some ways you can make cleaning a sexy ritual is to play high Frequency music while you clean and introduce sacred tools like essential oils and organic cleaning products like Mrs Meyers. You can also incorporate tools like Sage and Palo Santo which you can burn at the completion of your cleaning ritual to finalize the reset of the energy. I also like to mist my home with an essential oil mister that I make. Some people like lavender oil because it’s calming. I’m a fan of rosemary or bergamot but it’s completely up to you what scents resonate. There’s a new moon and a full moon every month. I recommend working with these energies by aligning and emphasizing your cleaning and clearing practices with these lunar cycles. For the new moon it’s best to clean ahead of it so you start the new cycle with a clean slate and for the full moon you can clean ahead on or just after because it’s culminating or climaxing energy. Think fulfillment energy. All right folks that’s what I have for you today. The Writing is on The Walls!

From a Feng Shui perspective, our stories are reflected and literally written on our walls! That’s why a big part of what I do involves story boarding and treating your home like a living breathing 3D vision board. Art is one of the first things I notice when it comes to people’s stories. What it’s depicting, where it is located, what colors dominate the space, and ultimately what story is being depicted. Is it aspirational or tragic? You can ask yourself these same questions. I’ve seen art in people’s homes so morose and disturbing that it would dampen the mood of even the most cheerful and balanced individual. The same person with that type of art is often oblivious to how it’s affecting their own personal narrative and subconscious mind. While you don’t need to be a psychiatrist or a Feng Shui consultant to understand how seeing sad or disturbing imagery on a daily basis might impact your psyche, you might need one of us to point it out. Sometimes we are so close to the obvious that we cannot see it ourselves. Especially if you’re the one surrounding yourself with dark influences and you have normalized them or fixated on how expensive the art is rather than how it makes you feel or what it is actually communicating. In Feng Shui terms context and location matter most because what appears negative to one individual might have a different backstory for another. There’s an energetic map in Feng Shui that we use to uncover where love or money or health or any of the 9 major themes in your life are represented in the home. The nine life themes represented in the Feng Shui energetic map called the Bagua include Skills & Knowledge, Career, Travel & Helpful People, Family, Children & Creativity, Wealth, Fame, and finally Love & Relationships. So a piece of art can be curated and story boarded to work for you rather than against you by placing it in alignment with each of these themes. For example a film poster for a horror film that you produced and made substantial income from could contextually work in your Career or Money centers of your home but be destructive in your Relationship or Family centers. In most cases you don’t need to buy all new art to change the narrative. It’s really about curating the art you already have to align with the story and life you want to live. Once you understand the Feng Shui Bagua Map, you become empowered to narrate your story in a productive manner. Location and context are everything in this regard. That’s a big part of what I help people with. I can read the room so to speak and help you translate what it’s communicating so that you can have greater agency over your personal narrative. I woke up a couple days ago with bee in my bonnet so to speak and decided it was time for a new chapter in love. It is Mercury Retrograde right now so it’s a great time to repurpose things we already own. Any that begin with re applies here. Redecorating, recharging, revisiting etc. It’s all about the edit and the revision. I didn’t have to go out and buy anything new perse; instead I just rotated my personal art that had been in storage to update my narrative. As soon as I made the shift, It was uncanny how it aligned with my personal circumstances. New romantic suitors and insights suddenly entered the picture. I had been in a relationship that ended a few months prior and have been gradually making shifts to my Love Gua since then. The love Gua is of course the area of your home that represents your love life. Mine happens to be in my bedroom which is ideal and one of the reasons I chose this home. I recently invested in new bedding and had cleared the room post relationship. I also invested in some new wardrobe pieces with dating in mind but there was still something more that I felt needed to shift. My art was sweet and what one could describe as girly. My bedroom could just as easily been that of a teenage girls in certain respects. The art was charming and made me happy but it wasn’t exactly sexy or romantic in an adult sense. We are talking flowers and butterflies and the like. I decided to rotate my art with some sensual Gustav Klempt pieces I had in storage. The large piece I chose to place over my bed depicts naked lovers intertwined in bed. I also chose another smaller Klempt piece for the love corner of my bedroom with those same lovers clothed while standing embracing each other. Both pieces are now strategically placed in my love Gua. Whatever you hang over your bed is what you are inviting in. The sexy art replaced some lovely pieces that also communicated love but lacked any eroticism or sexual context. The love Gua represents all kinds of relationships not just romantic so I wanted to be more targeted in my approach. The “Love Is All”statement piece that had been hanging over my bed was moved into Family Gua and now is prominently hung over my sofa in the living room. It’s a floral piece with the statement LOVE IS All that works seamlessly in the Family Gua! Wood element including florals support this life center. It’s also where I typically record the Pod and entertain. This more universal theme of love is perfectly aligned here while the more erotic adult version of love lives in the bedroom. Feng Shui For Baby

Hello and welcome to the Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui and other Woo. My name is Laura Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady and today I am talking about Feng Shui for Baby! It’s one of my favorite things to do and I don’t talk about it enough. Recently however it’s been coming up in conversation and I wanted to dedicate today’s Pod to it. If you are getting ready to welcome a baby home or even trying to conceive a baby, Feng Shui can actually help! Grace was my first Feng Shui Baby. I wasn’t sure if Grace was an anomaly, a fluke or just good luck but after Grace there were more Feng Shui babies. It has worked every time I have attempted “Feng Shui for Baby” which has resulted in a certain level of confidence in my ability to at least help and be a factor in bringing about such a blessing. I help women and couples get ready for baby by helping them prepare the home and babies room physically and energetically. I have found that the same tips that help create the right setting for baby also have a side affect of helping couples who are trying to get pregnant or are looking to adopt. When requests for “Feng Shui for Baby” come up, I am delighted to help. I am sharing this now so that they will come up more often and because I know there are a lot of women and couples who are eagerly preparing for baby or longing for one. It’s helpful to know that there are energetic alternatives. In addition to helping new parents prepare for baby, I have helped clients with both fertility and adoption breakthroughs with a combination of Feng Shui & Space Clearing. I am a Feng Shui consultant who specializes in both Feng Shui and Space Clearing. My practice is called Narrative Space. It is founded on the principle that our homes are mirrors of our personal narrative. Our stories can be seen in the way we live and through Feng Shui and Space Clearing, we can play a conscious role in what our story is going to be. In my experience, a baby has to be a part of your story and physical narrative in order to come into your life. When you are preparing to bring a new life home, it’s like starting a new chapter and your baby becomes part of your story. I help create a setting and physical narrative that supports this new life. I make sure the babies room and home as a whole are designed with baby in mind. I help clients arrange the babies room to feel safe, restful, nurturing and balanced with Feng Shui principles. There are many resources for women who are preparing for baby or that struggle with fertility and adoption challenges. I encourage you to explore all of them. Advancements in medicine have certainly come a long way and we have IVF, egg freezing, egg and sperm donors etc. Surrogate mothers are also becoming a more common option and of course adoption services are a beautiful choice. In addition to these methods, we have holistic approaches that can also help like Acupuncture and Feng Shui which happen to be two of the Five branches of Chinese medicine so they complement each other. When you are getting ready to bring a new life into your home, you want to make sure to make a healthy and inviting setting for your new baby. If you want to increase your odds for getting pregnant or adopting a baby, creating the right setting can help facilitate the process energetically. Holistic approaches like Feng Shui and Acupuncture are a lot less expensive and/or invasive than some of the aforementioned options and they typically are very pleasant experiences that can make your journey to baby much more comfortable and inviting. If you have attempted all of the western approaches and are still struggling, I would suggest incorporating some eastern practices into the mix to see if they can make the energetic difference you need to achieve your goal. You may have at least heard of Feng Shui but Space Clearing is a little more unusual and I do both. Not all Feng Shui consultants do Space Clearing and not all Space Clearers do Feng Shui… They work best together and actually reinforce each other the same way Acupuncture and Feng Shui do, a kind of Yin & Yang relationship. In both practices I am working with energetic flow and intention. Feng Shui is a more visually tangible practice commonly referred to as the “Art of Placement.” It is a physical language that is designed to organize your space in the most energetically inviting and auspicious manner. Space Clearing is a kind of Alchemy that uses a number of different elements to “clear” a space energetically of stagnant and non-beneficial energies and then impart blessings and intentions for good fortune. When both practices are combined, you maximize on the energetic potential of the space and are able to facilitate positive change and transformation with the most impactful and accelerated results. This is why I generally recommend combining both services especially when you are moving into a new space or are desiring a breakthrough in your life such as a child. Grace was my “first born” so to speak. You never forget your first… In her case, her parents Vanessa and Steven were struggling with adoption challenges and had been in the process for over 2 years. In Vanessa’s own words, “I interpret Feng Shui as a physical manifestation of a prayer, or setting an intention, or asking the Universe for something. So when my husband and I were scraping the depths of despair during our two-year adoption process, after we’d done all we could do ourselves, we called Laura as a Hail Mary pass to help renew our hope. She did a thorough job and provided not only placement ideas for our home, but she also facilitated a lovely ceremony in which we “called” our child to come find us. Less than a week later we got the call from our social worker that a birth mother wanted to meet us, and a few days after that our magical baby was born and we took her home. Was it coincidence, fate, Laura, or answered prayers? I don’t know. But I do know that Laura works with incredible sensitivity, she truly has her clients’ best interests at heart, and your home or office will be more livable and inviting to you, your guests, and possibly your dearest wish.” I still get chills when I think back on Vanessa and Grace who is now a teenager. Through Feng Shui, I create a setting where a baby would want to live and with Space Clearing and a Blessing Ceremony, I energetically invite your baby home. Six days after my Feng Shui and Blessing ceremony for Vanessa and Steven, they were blessed with Grace. I cannot fully express what a powerful impact Gracie had on me. As a result of Grace, I developed a comprehensive protocol specific to “Feng Shui for Baby” and now it’s part of my wheelhouse! One can never promise a specific outcome and I expressly do not, however I make it my business to create sacred space for my clients’ greatest desires. This kind of “Space Therapy” is some of the most fulfilling work I do and if I can somehow help you, it would be a Blessing and a Grace. What to do when your Money & Reputation are outside!!!

Hello & Welcome to the Feng Shui Money Couch where I talk about Feng Shui & other woo. My name is Laura Beatriz Carrillo aka The Feng Shui Lady. Today I’m recording from my balcony and I’ll explain why in a minute! Last week, I missed my self imposed Friday deadline because I was knee deep in the renovation of the two most important Power Centers or Guas for building your business and finances. The Fame & Wealth Guas! Mine happen to be outside on my balcony, and they needed an upgrade! You need Fame or attention to get clients and you need Money to build and operate your business. What if these areas of your home live outside the house?! This happens all the time! The best way to engage and activate the themes of Wealth & Reputation when they live outside is to Garden! Patio furniture also comes to mind. Make these areas of your home inviting and luxurious and Spend quality time there. Today, I am sharing my personal transformation of both my Wealth & Reputation Guas. Along with how you can use the same principles to transform your own wealth and reputation! If you’re new to Feng Shui, I am talking about how all of your most important life themes and power centers are represented somewhere in your home and sometimes they end up outside. In Feng Shui there’s an energetic map called the Bagua that includes all nine of your life themes which we refer to as Gua’s. The Bagua and all nine Guas are laid out like a tic tac toe board with all nine life centers inside. Ideally you want your home to be either a complete square or rectangle so that all the guas are accounted for. They include Skills & Knowledge, Career, Travel & Helpful People, Family, Health, Children & Creativity, Wealth & Abundance, Fame & Reputation, and Love & Relationships. This Bagua map is applied from the front door looking into the house. Your front door is typically in one of the bottom Guas either in Skills & Knowledge, Career, or Travel & Helpful People. BAGUA MAP Once you understand the Bagua Map, you realize that there’s an area of your home that represents your Wealth & Reputation and you can start to see how that’s playing out within the context of your home. Whatever is going on in the wealth area symbolizes and mirrors what is going on with your wealth. You can find it in the far back left hand corner of your home or property. Your Fame & Reputation Gua is in the far back center area of your home. Both of mine happen to be on my Balcony. I recently moved and had an old weathered dinning table and chairs from my previous apartment that didn’t exactly feel upscale in my Wealth Gua so I decided to reimagine this space. I created what to me feels like an upscale setting that I affectionately call my Bougie Bistro. I purchased a round green metal table and chairs designed for the outdoors. Green not only represents growth and wood element in Feng Shui, but it’s also the color of money. My old square weathered wooden table was blue painted over red painted over white and not meant for outdoor use. It had seen better days. My new set looks like seating you’d find at a bougie outdoor French bistro. It’s cheerful and charming! The Balcony where I am recording today is my latest passion project and it has even inspired a new gardening hobby with 2 separate Raised Garden Beds, one in the Wealth Gua where I am sitting and one in my Reputation Gua to my left. These 2 Guas are adjacent and both live on my balcony. Think of the symbolism of planting the seeds of wealth and reputation and tending to my 2 gardens of opportunity! Healthy plants, and symbols of abundance help activate your Prosperity. The color purple represents abundance in Feng Shui so I have 4 Purple Amethysts strategically placed out here and the number 4 also activates this Gua. My Balcony Glow up has been a labor of love! In my raised garden beds I planted Rosemary, Parsley, cilantro, strawberries, Sunflowers, tomatoes, Lettuce, and basil. My favorite visual cue that I planted in the raised beds are my Sunflowers! Now, when you enter my home you see straight through the sliding glass doors in my living room out to the balcony bistro table and my tall Beautiful Sunflowers. It’s very inviting! Normally in Feng Shui you don’t want to see directly outside from the front door because it means your chi or Energy is immediately leaving rather than navigating the entire space and making itself at home. In this case it’s not leaving its just invited to visit my wealth Gua and spend some time there. But let’s not leave out the importance of the Fame & Reputation Gua which is adjacent to Wealth! I love roses so I planted a red rose bush in a stunning colorful Mexican planter there and red is the color that activates the Fame Gua! Fire is the element for this energy center so I have plenty of candles and red spectrum color. I also planted a baby Meyer lemon tree in another matching planter here. Wood element feeds fire element so it’s all working together. Another option if you have the space and your Fame & Reputation is outside, is a Fire pit or Grill to represent fire. Having these guas outside can be a blessing. It’s certainly helpful for connecting with nature and the elements. This balcony has become my little slice of heaven overlooking the pool area and palm trees. Today I got to wake up, step out onto my balcony from my bedroom with my 2 cats and a coffee. It was bliss. I marveled at my beautiful life! I designed it and so can you!A year ago I lived in a run down 1930’s La apartment in east Hollywood. I’d been there for a good 13years. It had its charms but I had outgrown it. After covid LA rents had skyrocketed and I felt stuck. I made the most of my nook and invested in all new furniture and Feng Shui’d the hell out of that space! The Universe responded with an empowering new set of circumstances and opportunities that led to my new slice of heaven!Ever since I redid these Power Centers, I FEEL RICH. You can create that feeling for yourself and I encourage you to try it! That feeling is important for anyone who actually wants to be rich because money is a frequency and in order line up with it, you have to cultivate the feeling. I like to serve boogie meals and wine out here and enjoy the view. I had a girlfriend over for dinner on Friday after staying up late the previous night building the raised garden beds and planting everything. She was in awe of the shift. She felt it too as we enjoyed our sunset meal and wine with a view.Feng Shui is a form of energetic gardening and I’m tending to my resources and relationships with money in a whimsical new way! The grass is very green out here. It’s the color of money honey! WHAT’s happening in the Abundance & Reputation Centers of your home? Could they use some sprucing up? If you want my help, check out all my resources in my Linktree and see if there’s a fit. Cheers everyone and Ciao for now!
