    Silence Is Not Absence

What do you do when you pray, wait, and hear no clear answer from God? When God feels silent, it is easy to assume He has stepped away, stopped caring, or rejected us. But God’s silence is not the same as God’s absence. In the opening episode of When God Feels Silent: Faith in the Waiting, Tracie turns to Psalm 13, the story of Job, the hidden years of Jesus, and the finished work of the cross. This honest conversation makes room for unanswered questions without offering shallow explanations or false promises. IN THIS EPISODE: • Why God’s silence can feel like rejection • The difference between silence and absence • What biblical lament sounds like • Harmful assumptions Christians make about unanswered prayer • What the cross reveals about God’s love • A practical way to remain present with God • How to seek support when waiting becomes overwhelming. 0:00 Intro 0:08 Series Preview: When God Feels Silent 2:02 Welcome & Anchor Verse: Psalm 62:5-6 3:45 Opening Prayer 4:15 The Bible Does Not Hide the Question: Psalm 13 and Lament 6:15 Silence Is Not a Verdict 7:00 The Cross Has Already Spoken: Romans 8 7:44 When Silence Is Connected to Sin (and When It Isn't) 9:34 Hidden Does Not Mean Inactive: Joseph, Israel, Jesus 11:16 When Your Body and Mind Are Weary 12:24 This Week's Practice: Tell, Ask, Remember, Rest 14:16 Reflection Questions 14:35 Closing Prayer 15:16 Next Week & Outro KEY SCRIPTURES: Psalm 13 Psalm 22 Job 23 Romans 8:31–39 Download the free devotional workbook: https://www.fosteringfaithmedia.com/devotions Connect with Fostering Faith: https://www.fosteringfaithmedia.com Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/id1754871759 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5Kxu49zoZI0eI16FCy66NI Follow Fostering Faith and share this episode with someone who needs to know that silence does not mean abandonment.

Bonus episode: Built to Last: Community, Trials, and a Faith That Holds

Deep faith is personal, but it was never designed to be private. In the final episode of ROOTED: A Faith That Holds, Tracie explores why Christian community is essential, how trials reveal the condition of our spiritual foundation, and what perseverance looks like when following Jesus becomes difficult. Trials do not always feel joyful, and needing support is not evidence of weak faith. God often strengthens us through Scripture, trusted people, honest encouragement, and the steady practice of turning our attention back toward Christ. IN THIS EPISODE: • Why believers need genuine Christian community • The difference between privacy and unhealthy isolation • How trials expose and strengthen our foundations • What biblical perseverance looks like • Why comparison weakens endurance • How to support someone going through a difficult season • Building a faith that continues turning toward Jesus KEY SCRIPTURES: Hebrews 10:23–25 Hebrews 12:1–3 James 1:2–4 Matthew 7:24–27 Download the free ROOTED devotional workbook: https://www.fosteringfaithmedia.com/devotions Connect with Fostering Faith: https://www.fosteringfaithmedia.com Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/id1754871759 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5Kxu49zoZI0eI16FCy66NI Follow Fostering Faith and share this episode with someone who needs encouragement to keep going.

Rooted, Not Rushed: Abiding in Christ

We're back! After a month-long break in August, Fostering Faith returns with a brand-new five-week series called Rooted: A Faith That Holds. This series explores how to build a faith that doesn't depend on your mood, your circumstances, or your schedule — a faith that holds when life gets hard and loud. In this first episode, host Tracie dives into what it means to abide in Christ. We live in a culture that celebrates speed, visible progress, and constant production — but Jesus forms His people differently. Drawing from John 15, Colossians 2, and Psalm 1, Tracie unpacks why hidden roots matter more than public fruit, how abiding is about connection rather than performance, and what it means when God prunes the branches that bear fruit. You'll also walk away with three practical daily rhythms: begin before you consume, pause in the middle, and return at night. These aren't magical formulas — they're simple ways to keep your attention on the One who is already present. Anchor Scripture: Colossians 2:6-7 — "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Living Fully Free in Christ: Embracing the Identity God Gave You

Living Fully Free in Christ: Embracing the Identity God Gave You What if the greatest obstacle to experiencing God's freedom isn't your past—but the shame you're still carrying? In this powerful episode of Fostering Faith, we explore how shame distorts our identity, keeps us hiding, and convinces us that we are defined by our failures rather than by God's grace. Through biblical truth and practical encouragement, we'll uncover the difference between conviction and condemnation and learn how to walk in the freedom Christ has already secured for us. Together, we'll discover: • Why shame always leads us into hiding • The difference between God's conviction and the enemy's condemnation • What Scripture says about your true identity in Christ • How Jesus bore our shame on the cross • Practical steps to release guilt, embrace grace, and walk in freedom No matter what you've done, what has been done to you, or what labels you've carried, God's Word declares that you are loved, chosen, known, and redeemed. Key Scriptures: Genesis 3:8–9, Isaiah 53:4–5, Romans 8:1, John 8:36, Ephesians 1:4–5 "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." — John 8:36 Join us as we learn to stop living from our shame and start living from our identity in Christ. 00:00 Summer Wrap and Series Intro 01:19 Freedom Starts With Identity 02:51 Prayer and Workbook Setup 03:33 The Hidden Identity Crisis 06:17 Roots of False Identity 12:00 Truths of Who You Are 18:28 Put Off and Put On 22:31 What Freedom Looks Like 25:30 Prodigal Son and Fathers Eyes 29:17 Daily Practices to Walk It Out 34:42 Closing Prayer and Send Off
