Disciple: Reconciled to Reconcile - Pastor Joseph Pringle

You and I have been reconciled to God through Christ. That reconciliation was a gift we could never earn, and it was never meant to stop with us. That's the big idea behind this message: reconciliation received becomes reconciliation entrusted to us. We are ambassadors for Christ, and the way we handle relationships is the evidence of the gospel we say we believe. Here are the three things we walked through: Remember who you represent. We are ambassadors. That means our authority comes from the One who sent us, and the message He has entrusted to us is: be reconciled to God. That has to show up in our marriages, our workplaces, and every hard relationship in between. Fight the good fight. There are fights worth having in this life. Truth is worth fighting for. Unity is worth fighting for. But a lot of us are spending our energy on the wrong fights. We are fighting against each other when there is a real enemy at hand. Be eager to maintain unity, because maintaining is always easier than rebuilding. Restoration is the destination. Biblical confrontation is not weakness. Jesus actually encouraged it. The goal going into any hard conversation has to be restoration, not vindication, not punishment, not avoidance. Aim for restoration, and God will guide the conversation. We would love to have you join us at C3 Orange County any Sunday at 10 a.m. Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, 2 Corinthians 6:1-2, 2 Corinthians 13:11, Matthew 5:9, Matthew 18:15, Romans 5:10, Colossians 1:21, Ephesians 4:1-3, Ephesians 4:26, 1 Timothy 6:12, 2 Timothy 4:7, John 13:35

Disciple: The Cost of Discipleship and the Power of the Cross - Cecily Feldman

Jesus said yes to the cross so that we could say yes to him. That is the thread running through this message, and Cecily Feldman traces it from the garden of Gethsemane all the way into the everyday decisions of our lives. She opens in Mark 14, with Jesus on the Mount of Olives, deeply distressed, asking the Father if there is any other way. And the answer was no. But Jesus did not go to the cross alone. An angel came and strengthened him. He needed help, and help came. Then she jumps to Acts 2. The same Peter who kept falling asleep in the garden, who couldn't pray for one hour, stands up 60 to 90 days later and preaches to thousands. What changed? The cross happened. The Holy Spirit came. That same power is available to us. From there she walks through Romans 6, Galatians 2:20, and Colossians 3. The old self is dead. We have been raised with Christ. And now Paul says, set your minds on things above, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature, and clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Cecily lands it in three honest questions:When am I letting convenience determine obedience? What does my spending tell me about my priorities? What does my schedule reveal about who is actually in charge? Come join us at C3 Orange County on Sunday mornings and bring your Bible. Scriptures: Mark 14:32-41, Acts 2:14, Romans 6:3-5, Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:1-12

Disciple: Teachability - Pastor Joseph Pringle

Can the Bible still change your mind? That's the question Pastor Joseph Pringle puts on the table in this powerful message from our Discipleship Series at C3 Orange County. Receiving God's Word isn't passive — it's an active, humble decision to let Scripture have the final say over every area of your life. In this episode, Pastor Joseph walks through James 1:19-25 and unpacks what it truly means to receive the Word of God — not just hear it. Here's what you'll dig into: 📖 Come Under the Word — Teachability isn't optional for a disciple. True meekness means opening the Bible willing to be wrong and letting God reshape your thinking, desires, and habits. 🔍 Let the Word Confront You — From 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Pastor Joseph breaks down how Scripture teaches, reproves, corrects, and trains us — and why we can't cherry-pick only the parts that comfort us. ⚡ The Word Is Living and Active — Hebrews 4:12 reminds us the Bible doesn't just tell us what we did — it exposes why we did it, cutting right to the heart. 🏗️ Put the Truth to Work — Being a doer of the Word, not just a hearer, is what builds your life on the rock. The mirror of Scripture only transforms us when we act on what we see. 🌱 The Blessing of Obedience — James promises that the one who looks into the Word and does it will be blessed in all they do — not some, but all. Disciple: Where Your Will Meets His - Pastor Joseph Pringle

What happens when following Jesus leads somewhere you didn't choose? That's the real test of discipleship — and it's exactly where Pastor Joseph Pringle takes us in this powerful message from our Disciple series. True discipleship isn't just believing in Jesus. It's surrendering the right to run your own life, every single day. In this episode, you'll discover: 🔑 Why self-rule is the greatest obstacle to becoming a disciple — not unbelief, but the quiet insistence on being the highest authority in your own life. 🔑 What Jesus actually meant by "deny yourself" — it's not self-hatred or erasing your personality. It's releasing your sovereignty and trusting God sees what you can't. 🔑 The daily practice of picking up your cross — surrender isn't a one-time decision. It's a daily choice that requires community, prayer, and honest faith. 🔑 The great paradox of discipleship — the life you desperately protect from Jesus is the life you'll eventually lose. The life you surrender to Him is the life you finally find. 🔑 Why "nevertheless" might be the most important word in your faith — just like Jesus in Gethsemane, you can bring your desires honestly to God and still choose His will. We'd love to do life with you! Visit us at c3oc.com to find service times, connect with community, and explore more messages from the Disciple series.
