Big Sister In Christ Advice Session with Claudia Campbell

In this episode of Claire in a Chair, I’m sitting down with Claudia Campbell, creator and host of Heaven Bound, for a big sister in Christ advice session all about faith, purpose, idols, and following God even when you don’t fully understand His plan. Claudia shares her story of faith, what led her to create Heaven Bound, and how she felt called to move to New York City for ministry. We talk about what it’s really like being a Christian in New York City, and trusting God through uncertainty. We also get into some of the questions I think so many Christian teens and young adults wrestle with: How do you know if you’re chasing God’s calling or just chasing success? Can good things become idols? How do you recognize when you’re depending on a relationship, friendship, dream, accomplishment, or even comfort more than you’re depending on God? Claudia also shares what studying the book of Hosea has taught her about asking, “What are you planting?” and why success isn’t always a sign of God’s approval. This conversation seriously felt like sitting down with a big sister in Christ and asking all the questions about faith, purpose, success, and trusting God that can be hard to figure out on your own. Whether you’re trying to grow closer to God, understand His calling for your life, or simply need some Christian encouragement, I hope this episode reminds you that you don’t have to have everything figured out to keep following Him. You Seem Pretty Unmotivated For a Girl That Wants to Do it All

There are three things you need to know about burnout. Discipline, motivation, and do you actually need a break? The question you should ask yourself is: Do You Need a Push or a Pause? “You seem pretty unmotivated for a girl who wants to do it all.” Yeah... that one called me out. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about motivation, burnout, and what to do when you feel stuck in a rut. Because sometimes I really do want to do all the things. I have goals I care about, people I want to show up for, and things I’m excited about. But I still have days where I feel completely unmotivated. In this episode of Claire in a Chair, we’re talking about how to get out of a rut without convincing yourself that you need to completely reinvent your life. I share the advice my friends gave me when I was feeling stuck, including the simple “Babes, go on a walk” reminder that I apparently needed to hear. We also talk about something I’m trying to get better at asking myself: Do I need a push, or do I need a pause? Sometimes you need the push to get off your phone, go outside, start the assignment, clean your room, or just do the tiny thing you’ve been putting off. Other times, you genuinely need a break. You need to close the laptop, sleep, hang out with people you love, do something fun, and come back when your brain has had a chance to reset. Both can be productive in completely different ways. If you’re a teenager dealing with burnout, stress, low motivation, school pressure, feeling overwhelmed, or just not feeling like yourself lately, this episode is for you. Getting out of a rut doesn’t have to be a huge transformation. Sometimes one tiny thing can make you start feeling like yourself again. Consistency Is Key with Youtuber GoldenX

If you've ever wondered whether your hard work will actually pay off, this episode is for you. This week on Claire in a Chair, I'm joined by YouTuber GoldenX55 (Noah) for a conversation about what it really looks like to build something from the ground up. While thousands of people know him from his videos, we spent this episode talking about everything that happens behind the scenes the setbacks, the criticism, the pressure to keep creating, and the importance of staying true to yourself along the way. We also talk about success, purpose, and why comparison can keep us from chasing the things we're actually passionate about. Noah shares advice for anyone who's thinking about putting themselves out there, whether that's starting a YouTube channel, pursuing a dream, or simply taking the first step toward something that feels impossible. No matter what season you're in, I hope this conversation reminds you that everyone starts somewhere, growth takes time, and you're capable of more than you think. How To: Become More Interesting

What actually makes someone interesting? Hint: it’s not having cooler clothes, going on better vacations, being the funniest person in the room, or having some perfectly exciting life. In Episode 103 of Claire in a Chair, I’m talking about why I think the most interesting people are actually the people who are the most interested in life. They’re curious. They ask good questions. They try things. They pay attention. And most importantly, they’re figuring out what they genuinely like instead of just copying what everyone else is doing. In this episode, I share three simple ways I think we can all become more interesting: Become genuinely interested in other peopleActually do things that give you experiences and storiesPay attention to your own life so you can develop your own opinions and point of view.We talk about having better conversations, trying new things, spending less time watching other people live through our phones, and becoming more confident in the things that make us different! Because becoming more interesting isn’t about making your life look cooler to other people. It’s about becoming more curious about the life you already have and ACTUALLY participating in it. Maybe the question isn’t, “Do other people think I’m interesting?” Maybe it’s: “Am I interested in the life I’m living?” Subscribe to Claire in a Chair for new episodes about teenage life, confidence, friendships, personal growth, and figuring out who you are.
