And each of these nations compete and cooperate with each other depending on the issues. Oh, and the most important bit? These nations do NOT fall along state borders. But while this might make sense today, it wasn't all that long ago that South Carolina was actually the wealthier, larger and more important Carolina. So what happened and why does North Carolina have so many more people than South Carolina? Unfortunately for Tacoma, it never ended up becoming the city its founders originally envisioned. And this has a lot to do with the decisions the city made throughout history.
