East Kingdom was born in February 2024, after God called a group of us to reach the communities we came from and dearly love. We might be small, but we strive to make the East As It Is In Heaven! We are a community of people from different backgrounds and upbringings, but that's what makes us so unique. East Kingdom exists to be a beacon of hope and a place of security and restoration in the Charlotte area. East is a vibrant church located in the Mora district in East Charlotte. Our mission is to bring living water to those in our area. Missions are amazing outside of our country, but there is a lot of need at home as well.

    We have been exploring the life of David, but today, I want to focus on a remarkable character in his life: Jonathan. This message is all about the kind of friendship that Jonathan exemplified—a friendship that goes beyond mere acquaintance and dives deep into loyalty, sacrifice, and love. Jonathan's soul was knit to David's, and he loved him as his own. This is the kind of friendship we should aspire to cultivate in our lives.  In a world where friendships can often be superficial, Jonathan's relationship with David teaches us the importance of being selfless and vulnerable. He stripped away his royal identity and gave David his armor, recognizing God's hand on David's life. This act of surrender is a powerful reminder that true friendship requires us to lay down our pride and our own ambitions for the sake of others.  As we navigate our own friendships, let’s ask ourselves: Are we willing to be a Jonathan? Are we ready to support our friends in their calling, even if it means sacrificing our own status? This message encourages us to build a community where we lift each other up, just as Jonathan did for David.  So, if you’re feeling alone or discouraged, remember that you are not meant to walk this journey by yourself. God has placed people in your life to be your Jonathan, and you can be that for someone else too. Let’s strive to create a church full of Jonathans, where we can strengthen each other and grow together in faith. Together, we can embody the love and loyalty that God desires for us in our friendships.
