    Kingdom Ethics | Generous Living: What Motivates the Way We Give? | September 20, 2026

    What motivates the way we give?  In this message from the Sermon on the Mount, we explore Matthew 6:1–4 and Jesus’ teaching on generous living. Jesus challenges us to look beyond the act of giving and examine the motives of our hearts. Generosity is not simply about what we do, but why we do it.  Together, we’ll consider what it means to give with compassion, care for those in need, reflect the character of God, and practice righteousness without seeking recognition or praise from others.     Kingdom Ethics | Love Your Enemies: Jesus’ Radical Way of Living | September 13, 2026

    What does it look like to respond when someone hurts us?  In this message from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus challenges us to move beyond retaliation and toward a radically different way of living. In Matthew 5:38–48, Jesus teaches us to respond to those who hurt, oppose, or mistreat us in ways that reflect the heart of God.  We’ll explore what it means to turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, choose generosity over retaliation, and ultimately love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.     What does Jesus mean when He tells us to take sin seriously? He exposes the patterns that can lead us toward sin and calls us to take honest, practical steps to interrupt those cycles. This message challenges us to examine what captures our attention, cultivates our desires, and ultimately shapes what we pursue and serve.     Most importantly, Jesus reminds us that this is a heart issue.     Kingdom Ethics | Peacemaker | August 23, 2026

    What does Jesus have to say about anger, conflict, and reconciliation?  In this message, we continued our journey through the Sermon on the Mount by exploring Matthew 5:21–26, where Jesus challenges us to look beyond outward actions and address the anger, insults, and broken relationships that can take root in our hearts.  Jesus doesn’t simply give us an impossible ideal of never getting angry. Instead, He offers a transforming initiative: go and be reconciled. As followers of Jesus, we are called to become peacemakers, setting aside pride and choosing to pursue restoration even when it’s difficult.  This message explores what it means to move from anger toward reconciliation and to embrace the costly grace of following Jesus in our relationships.     What did Jesus mean when He said, “I have come not to abolish but to fulfill”? In this message from our Kingdom Ethics: On Earth as It Is in Heaven series, we explore Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5:17-20 and what it means to live the Kingdom way.   Jesus came not simply to give us more rules to follow. He came to fill full the story of Scripture and show us what it looks like to live as people of God's Kingdom. Throughout His life and teaching, Jesus demonstrated that the heart of God's Law is ultimately about love: loving God and loving people.   This message challenges us to consider an important question: Are we living for the law, or are we allowing Jesus to fill our obedience with His way of love?     Kingdom Ethics | Salt and Light | August 9, 2026

    What is the purpose of your life? In this message from our Kingdom Ethics: On Earth as It Is in Heaven series, we explore Jesus' powerful words in the Sermon on the Mount: “You are the salt of the earth” and “You are the light of the world.” Jesus gives His followers both an identity and a mission, calling us to live in a way that brings His truth, hope, grace, and love into a broken world.  In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus reminds us that salt is meant to make a difference wherever it touches, and light is meant to shine rather than be hidden. As followers of Christ, we don't create the light ourselves. Jesus is the true Light, and we reflect His light to the people around us. Our homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, friendships, and communities are all places where God has called us to faithfully live out our Kingdom purpose.  The world doesn't need the appearance of Christianity. It needs followers of Jesus who genuinely live as salt and light.
