Kingdom Ethics | Salt and Light | August 9, 2026

What is the purpose of your life? In this message from our Kingdom Ethics: On Earth as It Is in Heaven series, we explore Jesus' powerful words in the Sermon on the Mount: “You are the salt of the earth” and “You are the light of the world.” Jesus gives His followers both an identity and a mission, calling us to live in a way that brings His truth, hope, grace, and love into a broken world.  In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus reminds us that salt is meant to make a difference wherever it touches, and light is meant to shine rather than be hidden. As followers of Christ, we don't create the light ourselves. Jesus is the true Light, and we reflect His light to the people around us. Our homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, friendships, and communities are all places where God has called us to faithfully live out our Kingdom purpose.  The world doesn't need the appearance of Christianity. It needs followers of Jesus who genuinely live as salt and light. Watch this message and be encouraged to stay salty, shine brightly, and let your life point people to Jesus.    Key Scriptures      Matthew 5:13-16 | Salt and Light      John 8:12 | Jesus, the Light of the World      Psalm 119:105 | God's Word as a lamp and light      1 Peter 2:12 | Living in a way that points others to God      Colossians 4:6 | Speech that is gracious and “seasoned with salt”      If this message encouraged you, like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs a reminder that their life has purpose and that God has placed them where they are for a reason.  #SaltAndLight #Matthew5 #SermonOnTheMount #KingdomOfGod #KingdomEthics #Jesus #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #ChristianLiving #FollowJesus #Matthew513 #Matthew516 #FaithInAction #ChristianFaith #LightOfTheWorld #SaltOfTheEarth #LeesSummitCommunityChurch

Kingdom Ethics | The Good Life | August 2, 2026

What does it really mean to live the good life? Our culture often defines it by success, comfort, wealth, or status. But in the opening words of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus offers a radically different vision of what it means to be truly blessed.  In this message, we explore Matthew 5:1-12 and the Beatitudes, where Jesus reveals that the good life is found not in chasing the world's values, but in living as citizens of God's Kingdom. Through His surprising words to the poor in spirit, the meek, the merciful, the peacemakers, and those who hunger for righteousness, Jesus shows us that God's blessing is rooted in His presence, His promises, and His Kingdom.  In this message, you'll discover:  What Jesus meant by the Beatitudes  Why God's definition of the "good life" is different from the world's  How the Kingdom of God reshapes our values, character, and relationships  What it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life as a citizen of His Kingdom  Scripture:  Matthew 5:1-12  If this message encouraged you, be sure to like this video, subscribe to our channel, and share it with someone searching for lasting hope and purpose.  About Lee's Summit Community Church  At LSCC, our mission is to help people discover and follow Jesus. We'd love to connect with you! Kingdom Ethics | The Kingdom of God | July 26, 2026

Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is one of the most well-known passages in all of Scripture, but what if it's more than a collection of moral teachings or impossible standards? What if Jesus is announcing that the Kingdom of God has arrived and inviting us to experience life under His reign today?  In this opening message of our new series through Matthew 5-7, we explore how Jesus' teaching is rooted in the promises of Isaiah, where God's kingdom is marked by salvation, deliverance, justice, peace, joy, and His presence among His people. As we read the Sermon on the Mount through this lens, we discover that Jesus isn't simply giving us rules to follow. He is showing us what happens when heaven breaks into earth and what life looks like as citizens of God's Kingdom. In this message, you'll discover:  What Jesus meant by the phrase "Kingdom of God"  How the book of Isaiah shaped Jesus' teaching  Why the Sermon on the Mount is about transformation, not just instruction  How God's kingdom brings peace, justice, joy, and hope into our world today  Scripture References: Matthew 5-7 Matthew 5:17 Luke 4:17-21 Isaiah 9:2-7 Isaiah 61  If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who wants to better understand the teachings of Jesus and the good news of God's Kingdom.  #SermonOnTheMount #KingdomOfGod #Matthew5 #Matthew6 #Matthew7 #BibleStudy #JesusTeaching #Isaiah #ChristianFaith #BibleTeaching #GospelOfMatthew #KingdomLiving #FollowJesus #ChurchSermon #ChristianLiving

Walk Through The Valley | July 19, 2026

Psalm 23 has comforted people for generations with its powerful reminder that God is with us through every season of life. But what does that promise look like in the middle of a real-life trial?  In this special service, Pastor Tim and Nona Luke share the deeply personal story of Tim's recent battle with cancer and the ways they experienced God's faithfulness, peace, and presence through every step of the journey. Their testimony reminds us that Psalm 23 isn't a promise of a life free from hardship. It's the assurance that our Good Shepherd walks with us through both green pastures and the darkest valleys.  Whether you're facing uncertainty, grief, illness, or simply need encouragement, we pray this conversation strengthens your faith and reminds you that you are never alone.  Scripture:  Psalm 23  In this message you'll discover:  What Psalm 23 really teaches about God's presence  Finding hope in the middle of suffering  Trusting the Good Shepherd through life's valleys  A powerful testimony of faith during a cancer journey  If this message encouraged you, be sure to like this video, subscribe to our channel, and share it with someone who could use hope today.  About Lee's Summit Community Church  Learn more about LSCC by visiting our website or connecting with us on social media.  #Psalm23 #CancerTestimony #ChristianTestimony #GodIsFaithful #FaithThroughTrials #HopeInChrist #GoodShepherd #ChristianEncouragement #BibleTeaching #ChurchSermon #JesusChrist #FaithJourney #ChristianLiving #LSCC #LeesSummitChurch

    Identity | It's All About His Mission | July 12, 2026

What does it really mean to live on mission with Jesus?  In this week’s message, we continued our Identity series by exploring It’s All About His Mission. We looked at how our understanding of Jesus shapes the mission of the Church and why following Jesus is more than simply believing the right things. It’s learning to hear His voice, live intentionally where He has placed us, and share His good news with the people around us.  Using a simple progression of Hear & Obey, Live on Mission, and Share the Gospel, we discovered that discipleship is less like attending a weekly event and more like becoming a living network of hope spread throughout a city. Just as roots quietly spread through soil and bring life to everything they touch, Jesus sends His people into neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday relationships to bring His presence and love.  This message will encourage anyone who wants to follow Jesus more intentionally and make a difference in the ordinary places of life.  Key Scriptures:   John 10:27 – “My sheep hear my voice… and they follow me.”   John 1:14 – “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”   2 Corinthians 5:20 – “We are ambassadors for Christ.”   Acts 1:8 – “You will be my witnesses…”   Ephesians 1:22–23 – The Church as the fullness of Christ in the world.  If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who wants to grow as a disciple of Jesus.     #Jesus #Mission #Discipleship #Church #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #FollowJesus #Faith #Gospel #LeeSummit #LSCC #Ephesians1 #John10 #Acts1 #LiveOnMission
