S3 : Ep 5 - The Girls Who Shuffle Booty Bumped

This week, the girls are back in the studio for a late-night podcast session, fresh from Beverly’s comedy gig, where Lorna finally got to hear some of Bev’s new jokes in her new set and she did not disappoint! What a skit - quite literally!! The girls then dive into the absolute chaos of their weekend, including a girl in the club who was absolute paralytic and throwing herself around the dance floor and falling over everyone in sight including Bev and Lorna's friend so there was almost a few hands thrown. Fast forward a few hours in a different club on the sam enight, a different girl barged into Beverly. What in the world was going on at all??? Next up, it’s Froth Town, Perth’s biggest beer festival, where the girls witnessed everything from dad bod competitions to hot dog eating contests. There was even the opportunity to get a regrettable tattoo, which, thankfully, they managed to avoid. It could have been their first regret yet! Finally, this week’s very important topic: SHAKING ASS! The girls get into the surprisingly wonderful benefits of shaking your ass, the magic of dancing with your friends, letting go of your inhibitions and why life is simply too short to be standing on the sidelines. Expect questionable stories, plenty of laughs and a gentle reminder to stop taking life so seriously. So, the question is… ARE YOU SHAKING ASS ENOUGH IN YOUR LIFE?! Hosted on Acast. S3 : Ep 4 - The Girl And The Strange Man (With A Strange Request)

The girls are back, and they can’t agree on what episode number this is, after a chair spin unplugged the last recording :) They catch you up on everything: a $600 deep-sleep hypnosis recording, a 19-year-old outside The Vault who wanted Lorna’s voice in her voice notes, and a $50 bet on Portugal placed on the advice from a stranger online. There’s also a €5 junior ticket to the Cork match, bought at 31 years of age, and a night that ended with a microphone and speaker belting out The Rattling Bog on McCurtain Street to the sea of red jerseys! Beverly then tells the story of Aoife’s night out. A 'strange man' in a convertible offers to drive another 'strange man' home, comes back 20 minutes later for Aoife, buys her a McDonald’s, then makes a request about her feet. Aoife sets a firm boundary, finishes her nuggets, and lets her fake boyfriend take the credit. Elsewhere, a man online pays €50 for a phone call with one of your podcast hosts, finds out it’s just a phone call, and asks for his money back! - She did as well because she ain't no thief!! Then on to this week’s topic, nudity. Lorna dances naked in the woods for a shoot with Alana and asks her mam and dad whether a topless photo can go up to the world wide web. Listen to find out what they said! The girls go through being told on separate occasions to put their tops on in Malta and in Brighton, they reminisce on the naked tea party in the woods, German saunas, and Berlin’s Kit Kat Club, where a skater boy in a beanie learns the jeans are coming off whether he likes it or not! There’s a round of naked would you rather, and the truth comes out: Beverly can be fully undressed within ten seconds of walking into any hostel room in Southeast Asia. The main takeaway from this episode : STOP SEXUALISING NUDITY and just appreciate the art that we all are 3 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S3: E2 - The Girl With The AI Boyfriend

This episode kicks right in with some impressions from the absolutely brilliant movie, The Emperor’s New Groove, where Lorna is left almost speechless with how well Beverly impersonates one of the characters. If only Beverly could do other accents - is their any voice coaches listening who could help? Or any castings going for cartoons based in Cork? We hear the wild tale of Lorna’s friend who used AI to make her perfect boyfriend, posted the pic online and sent everyone back home into a frenzy - so much so that she had to keep prompting new pics because she couldn’t bring herself to confess he wasn’t real.. - this is CRAZY, no? Just goes to show don't believe everything you see on the internet! Beverly cut her hair into a bob and can’t believe she didn’t do it sooner - and wondered why her “friends” never told her to do it?! She's now wondering can she even trust her friends moving forward? Lorna takes us back to her days in Cambridge, when she’d do anything for money (well, not ANYTHING, but almost anything) - including a pixie cut and dyed purple hair for a hair show. Oh, and there was a sword involved. Hair holds trauma and NO WONDER!! The girls also catch up on what they’ve been up to - they both did courses on the SAME weekend! Bev was in Perth doing her Pilates course while Lorna was in Bali training as a Kundalini energy facilitator. You’ve probably heard of Pilates, but if Kundalini is new to you, listen up as Lorna takes us into that world 3 The girls finish up with some gratitudes and affirmations before heading out to shake some ass! S3 : E1 - The Girl Who Had An Eloption

Oh my godddd… the girls are BACK! After a 6-week break (it was 6 weeks, don't fact check us), Beverly and Lorna are finally reunited in the Perth and they are absolutely buzzing to catch up on all their adventures. First up, Lorna has officially moved to Sydney! She's paying triple the rent compared to Perth but besides that, she's absolutely loving Sydney life. Beverly is holding it down in Perth and has somehow acquired a witch's laugh - blame the stand-up comedy for that one! Speaking of comedy, Beverly entered a comedy competition and nearly let the imposter syndrome win, but you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone to become the person you want to be… to become THAT GIRL. Lorna flew in to surprise her for it, but let the cat out of the bag and had nobody to blame but herself (and the boy she was texting - it's all HIS fault, obviously). The girls then get stuck into weddings, marriages, eloping and a brand new category… eloptions. You'll have to listen to figure that one out! Both girls also headed back to Europe and partied in the best place to party, Berlin. Unfortunately not on the same dates, so they're spilling everything they each got up to. Beverly also went to a big gay rave in London and got roasted online for what she was wearing… or lack of what she was wearing. God forbid women have nipples! And finally, thrift shopping and 'The Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants'. The girls chat about sharing clothes with strangers who become friends, including how one thrifted dress started a whole friendship between two girls online! Beverly and Lorna are thrilled to be back and can't thank you all for listening & supporting their podcast 3 For more entertainment - follow their socials: the.ones.that.got.awayyy THANK YOU x Hosted on Acast.
