Hello! Im Elle, and I am the photographer behind Rogue Paws Photography. Inspired by the loss of our beautiful red cattle dog Abby, this podcast was born from the desire to keep her memory alive.     Send a text In this episode I speak with Steve Coleman- NSW RSPCA CEO We talk about where he started within the organisation, and the long journey to get to the position of CEO (which he has been in now for almost two decades).  Steve shares some of the challenges associated with the nature of the work that is carried out within the RSPCA, and how the organisation supports their staff, particularly those working out in the field.  We discuss burnout in the industry, how he approaches leadership- an essential part of his role as CEO, and his passion for the work that the RSPCA do- A passion that has remained strong for over 30 years.  Steve also presents a very interesting perspective on aerial culling of the Brumbies in  Kosciusko National Park, the closure of the RSPCA Orange Branch, and the challenges of public perception for the work that they do within the RSPCA.  Enjoy this interesting and informative episode!

It is easy to see the passion Brent has for his biz, and everything he offers through it.     Gabriela and Lulu

    Send a text *Since recording this episode, Lulu has unfortunately passed away.  Sending love and light to Gaby and her family as they move through this unimaginably difficult time. In this episode we talk to Gabriela about her incredibly special girl Lulu.  Lulu came into Gaby and her husbands life at a time when they needed something positive to focus on.  Gaby found Lulu through a rescue, and had her in her sights from the start.  Lulu was one of 7 pups, 5 who unfortunately passed away from a virus as very young puppies. Although Lulu was the runt of the litter, she thankfully survived. As though the universe knew that Gaby and her husband needed this special girl to survive and be in their lives.  With her sweet nature and willingness to please , Lulu bought immense joy to both Gaby and her husband from day one.  Gaby describes Lulu as being 'the sweetest creature on earth'.  From bringing much needed joy into their home, becoming a big sister to a tiny human, and all of the park visits, play dates and pub visits in between, Lulu's story is an incredible reminder of just how much doggos really are at the centre of their family. And how heartbreaking it is when we have to start thinking about life without them.  Grab your tissues, as we ride the wave of joy, and heartbreak throughout this episode.     Marley of Alfie Browne- for paws with personality🐾

    Send a text In this episode we talk to Marley of Alfie Browne, where creating and selling dog treats and accessories is a passion. Marley has always had a strong connection with dogs, and always knew she wanted to work with dogs in some capacity.  After a few different career and job paths after school, Marley decided to jump all in and create Alfie Browne- the small biz and brand that has grown incredibly in such a short space of time.  Marley talks about the sliding door moment that accelerated her plans to start her biz, how she navigated the early days with branding, product selection, and growing her business, and the incredible community that her biz has created (even amongst her own family).  Marley is so incredibly motivated and grounded for someone so young. Her determination to get started on her dream that is Alfie Browne is sure to inspire other young people to get out there and take steps to achieve their own small business dreams.  Above all else, the sense of community that surrounds Marley and her small biz, and the support from her family truly says alot for the kind, bright and humble human that she is!
