    #42: Your Seasonal Wardrobe Changeover

We're back for 2026 and into a Melbourne winter! In this first episode of the year, I walk you through my seasonal wardrobe changeover: the exact process I use to make sure my wardrobe still reflects who I am, serves the life I actually live and makes getting dressed easier, not harder. I share why I revisit my wardrobe every season, the honest questions I ask myself before letting a piece go (including my "wear it for a day" test — and the skirt it recently helped me part with!), and how to do a light wardrobe cleanse without the overwhelm. I also talk through why more clothes usually isn't the answer sometimes you just need fresh ideas for the pieces you already own. Then we get into the pieces worth having for the season ahead: the coat, the jacket, your layering basics, and the boots that will carry your whole autumn/winter wardrobe plus how to tell when to invest and when to keep it high-street. Whether you're refreshing your look or feeling a little disconnected from your style, this episode will help you step into another season feeling intentional, confident, and completely yourself. In this episode: Why your wardrobe should evolve as you doThe two questions to ask before every seasonal changeoverThe "wear it for a day" test for pieces you're unsure aboutWhy too much choice makes getting dressed harder (the jam-at-breakfast analogy!)Clearing seasonal clutter to see what you really needThe four winter pieces worth focusing on: a great coat, a classic jacket, layering basics, and versatile bootsWhen to invest vs. when to shop the trendUsing texture to add interest to winter outfitsIf you enjoyed this one, I'd love it if you subscribed and left a review 🤍 Work with me here: https://www.styledbygulinka.com Rate, Review, & Follow on Apple Podcasts.  If you loved the podcast, please consider rating and reviewing my show! #41: What I Learned From the Clothes I Never Wore

In this episode of The Styled Life Podcast, we’re diving into the style mistakes we’ve all made—and how they can actually become powerful tools for discovering your personal style. I’m sharing a few pieces I’ve recently let go of during a wardrobe cleanse—items I once loved (or thought I did) but never actually wore. From the chain-strap bag that weighed me down to turtlenecks and mini skirts that didn’t suit my lifestyle, each of these “mistakes” taught me something valuable about what really works for me. Style is a journey, and every misstep is a clue. When you understand why a piece didn’t work, you can stop repeating patterns, make smarter choices, and build a wardrobe that truly feels like you. We’ll also talk about how to analyse your own closet clear-outs so you don’t just declutter—you learn. ✨ In this episode: Why holding onto unworn pieces creates clutter and confusionWhat your past style “regrets” reveal about your preferencesHow to use mistakes to refine your wardrobe moving forwardThe power of letting go—and making space for what suits you nowThis is the perfect episode if you’ve ever stared at a closet full of clothes and thought, “Why don’t I wear any of this?” Work with me here: https://www.styledbygulinka.com Rate, Review, & Follow on Apple Podcasts.  If you loved the podcast, please consider rating and reviewing my show! #39: Why Keeping Clothes That Don’t Fit Is Holding You Back

Have you ever held onto clothes that no longer fit — just in case? I’m sharing why letting go of pieces that don’t serve you anymore is one of the most empowering steps you can take for your personal style and self-image. As a former "just-in-case" jeans keeper myself, I know how hard it can be. But holding onto those clothes doesn’t just take up space — it can quietly chip away at your confidence and keep you stuck in a past version of yourself. In this episode, I’ll walk you through: Why your clothes should fit you (not the other way around)How “someday” clothes can block wardrobe clarity and joyWhat to do instead when a piece no longer fits your life or bodyThe mindset shift that makes decluttering feel lighter — even joyfulLetting go is making space for the version of you you're becoming — and for a wardrobe that truly supports you today.
