The Moon Has Nothing of Its Own - Kollel Toras Chaim All Shiurim

    | R’ Moshe Chaim Eade — Shiur 6 You spent weeks looking for the sechel in everything. Then the Rebbe tells you the light is too big to get, unless you come through the Nun. This shiur stays on that one turn. The moon has no light of its own. It only receives. The Rebbe says that’s the avodah, and that refusing to receive is Esav. The Torah in this shiurReview: Through Torah, all tefilos and bakashos are accepted. What’s missing is chen. The chen fell “by them” (Esav), and the avodah is to bring it back. The sechel: Look at the sechel in every davar, then connect to it. That sechel is the ches, the chayus, the reishis. It ties to Yaakov, who earned the bechorah. The turn: That light is so great it’s impossible to reach, unless through the Nun.The Nun is the Levanah: The moon has no light of its own and only receives from the chesed, the chochmah, the sun. A ches plus a Nun is chen. The goal: The moonlight becomes like the sunlight, which is Mashiach.Esav: One who doesn’t connect to the sechel, chochmah, and chayus is Esav. He despised the bechorah. He is the dark side of the moon, the side that never wants to receive. The pasuk to end on: Lo yachpotz kesil b’seivunah, ki im b’hisgalus libo. The fool doesn’t want to understand. He wants whatever his heart reveals. Questions the shiur leaves openThese are not answered, on purpose. If you look but don’t connect (mistakel without mekusher), did you do half the job?Temimus or sechel? Are you the simple Yid or the intellectual? Or both?Does the Nun go up to receive the ches, or does the ches come down and the Nun builds a vessel? Or is it just a change of position, like the moon?Does the Nun do something, or do nothing? Is there any chesed at all on Esav’s side? Where does his chen come from? How do you know when to move on from one sechel (the coffee) to the next (shiur)?

Finding the Divine Wisdom in Everything - Kollel Toras Chaim All Shiurim

R' Moshe Chaim Eade | Likutei Moharan Torah Alef – Shiur 2: Discovering the Divine Wisdom in Everything What is the secret of chen, and how does learning Torah transform not only the way others see us, but the way we experience Hashem and the world around us? In the second shiur on Likutei Moharan Torah Alef, R' Moshe Chaim Eade continues exploring the relationship between Torah, tefillah, and chen v'chashivus—the grace, beauty, and significance that emerge when a Yid reconnects with the neshamah. We explore the difference between external beauty and true inner beauty, why Torah restores the hidden chen of Klal Yisrael, and how genuine love for Torah allows that beauty to shine outward. Through the examples of Noach finding favor in Hashem's eyes and Yaakov Avinu recognizing the potential for good in Esav, we discover how chen reflects and reveals the goodness hidden within another person. The shiur then turns to one of Rebbe Nachman's foundational teachings: להסתכל בהשכל שבכל דבר—the obligation to recognize the Divine wisdom, purpose, and message within everything we encounter. Drawing on stories of tzaddikim and the concept of Hashgachah Pratis, we learn that nothing in our lives is simply random. Every experience, interaction, and challenge contains an opportunity to discover Hashem's presence. Ultimately, Rebbe Nachman teaches us that the Beis Medrash does not end at its physical walls. Our entire lives can become a place of Torah, where we learn to recognize Hashem in everything and live with the awareness of שויתי ה׳ לנגדי תמיד.
