Mindful Monday On True Love And Relationship Red Flags

Send us Fan Mail If love is supposed to feel like home, why does it sometimes feel like you’re disappearing inside your own life? On this Mindful Monday, we take a clear-eyed look at true love versus false love and the subtle relationship red flags that can hide behind chemistry, history, and familiarity. I recorded this on Memorial Day, and that sense of gratitude and perspective sets the tone for a short, honest reflection on what we tolerate and why. We sit with a Carl Jung quote about two personalities meeting and both being transformed, then we get specific about what “transformation” should actually look like in a healthy relationship. If you feel smaller, quieter, or more anxious than you were at the start, that’s not growth, it’s erosion. We also pull in Oscar Wilde’s reminder that real love sees you fully, without managing you, minimizing you, or making you feel like you’re too much. When you find yourself shrinking to keep someone comfortable, it’s worth asking whether you’re calling familiarity “love” because it’s known, not because it’s safe. We close with Maya Angelou’s hard truth about not making someone a priority when you’re only an option, plus a simple mindfulness-based test: peace. If the connection keeps you guessing, waiting, or questioning your worth at 2 a.m., you may be learning a lesson, not building a life. If this resonates, share it with someone who needs a reset, and please subscribe, leave a review, and drop a comment with what hit you the hardest. Support the show  Like 2 Subscribe 2 me? How To Spot Narcissistic Behavior In A Relationship

Send us Fan Mail When a relationship keeps leaving you anxious, confused, and second-guessing yourself, it’s not “being dramatic” to ask what’s really going on. We’re digging into a sensitive but important question: how do you know if you’re dealing with narcissistic behavior and not just everyday relationship conflict? I’m not here to diagnose anyone with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). I am here to talk about patterns, behaviors, and the way they make you feel, because your peace and clarity matter. We walk through clear relationship red flags: conversations that always swing back to them, feeling emotionally unsafe when you share hurt, being told you’re “too sensitive,” and the slow burn of gaslighting that makes you doubt your own memory. We also name the roller coaster cycle many people recognize, where love and connection flip into criticism, distance, or coldness, and accountability somehow never lands. If control shows up in subtle “concerned” comments that still feel like pressure, guilt, or restriction, we unpack that too. Then we get honest about why it’s hard to accept and even harder to leave. You don’t stay because you’re weak. You stay because you saw the good, because you remember the beginning, and because you keep hoping potential will turn into real change. But consistency tells the truth, not potential. We answer common questions like how to spot the difference between healthy conflict and an unhealthy pattern, whether someone can truly change, and why trauma bonding and emotional conditioning can make a relationship feel addictive even when it hurts. If this connects with you, listen, share it with someone who needs it, and subscribe. If you found it helpful, leave a review and send me your questions and experiences so we can keep protecting our peace together. Support the show  Like 2 Subscribe 2 me? 3. What Do Your Boundaries Say About You

What Do Your Boundaries Say About You

Send us Fan Mail One skipped goodnight is easy to shrug off. Two starts to sting. And when it becomes a pattern, it can flip a relationship question from “Are we just busy?” to “Am I being ignored?” I’m picking up the thread from Monday’s conversation on small neglect and getting honest about what those little moments can signal when you’re the one left feeling unseen or unheard.  I walk through a simple but loaded scenario: you bring up something that matters to you, your partner says they hear you and will reflect, then the next day they leave without a kiss goodbye and claim they forgot. We talk about what to do with that information, how to tell the difference between a one-off mistake and consistent emotional neglect, and why follow-through is the real measure of care. I also share how I think about this differently depending on the relationship stage, from dating to living together to marriage where vows add weight but don’t erase your needs.  From there, we get practical about boundaries, communication, and deal breakers. I’m not offering a cookie-cutter fix, because relationships are complex, but I am naming what helps: clear asks, consistent standards, and solutions both people are willing to work on, including couples therapy when it makes sense. There’s also some real-life catching up along the way, from Cinco de Mayo favorites to the end-of-school-year energy at a middle school.  If you’ve ever wondered whether “small” neglect is actually big, listen through and then come tell me your take. Like,Subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find these conversations. Support the show  Like 2 Subscribe 2 me? What Does Small Neglect Say About Love

Send us Fan Mail Forgetting to say goodnight once is one thing. Forgetting again after you’ve already named the hurt, asked for what you need, and heard “I’ll be better” can feel like something else entirely. That’s the question we’re sitting with today: when does “whoops” turn into a pattern that signals low empathy, emotional distance, or a quiet lack of care?  I talk through a real relationship dilemma that hit me hard, because these tiny moments of connection are not tiny when you’re the one waiting for them. We dig into what it means to communicate wants, needs, and boundaries, then watch the same behavior repeat anyway. I also throw the question to you directly: if your partner, husband, wife, or significant other keeps skipping the most basic goodbye rituals after you’ve already addressed it more than once, what’s the appropriate response? Hard boundary, ultimatum, forgiveness with conditions, couples counseling, or calling it quits?  Along the way, we take a quick Mindful Monday detour into Cinco de Mayo plans and taco traditions, then I share a personal update on reaching out to a popular dating podcast and what it would take to make that trip happen. If you’ve ever wondered how to handle repeated disrespect, emotional neglect, or inconsistent effort in a relationship, this conversation is for you.  Listen, Like with a thumbs up ,then leave a comment with your advice, share this with someone who needs it, and please subscribe and review so more people can find the show. Kindness As A Daily Practice

Send us Fan Mail The world feels louder than it used to and some days we’re all just trying to get through the commute, the workday, and whatever life dropped on us overnight. On this Mindful Monday, I slow things down and come back to one practice that’s free, underrated, and surprisingly powerful: kindness.  I share what’s been going on with me, why I’ve been stretched thin, and how I’m trying to stay flexible when my body and mind aren’t at 100%. From spring weather that can’t make up its mind to the pressure of juggling multiple roles, I talk about being ready to pivot and keeping your values close when your schedule gets messy. Then I read a few kindness quotes that hit me right in the heart and explain why they matter for mindfulness, mental health, and how we treat people day to day.  We get practical too. I talk about small random acts of kindness that actually fit real life: letting someone go ahead of you, holding a door, paying attention to the person in front of you, or simply choosing not to judge. I also share how I try to “lift people up” online by liking, commenting, and supporting other creators, because community care counts as wellness. If you’ve been craving a reset that feels human and doable, this one’s for you.  Remember to hit the Like button, Listen, then subscribe, share with someone who needs a gentler week, and leave a review if the show helps you stay grounded. Ten Stoic Rules for Manifestation

Send us Fan Mail Someone says you can’t do it. Someone doubts you. Or worse, you hear that voice in your own head start narrating why your goals are “too much.” I’m not interested in hype, I’m interested in staying steady, and Stoicism gives me a real framework for that. I walk through 10 Stoic rules inspired by Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca, and I translate them into everyday language you can actually use.  We talk about controlling yourself first through self-discipline and emotional control, detaching from outcomes without giving up on your goals, and choosing discipline over desire when you’re tempted by the “I want it now” mindset. I also dig into living below your ego, acting without needing approval, and practicing acceptance so setbacks don’t knock you off track. This conversation gets personal when I share how I’ve had to become unshakable while adapting to an autoimmune disease and chronic pain. When foods, drinks, and routines change overnight, mindset stops being motivational and starts being survival. We end with gratitude as a daily practice, plus real examples of how letting go of a specific outcome can keep you from getting consumed by disappointment. If you’ve been trying to manifest a healthier life, a promotion, stronger relationships, or just more peace, hit play, then subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find Wisdom Wellness Wednesday. 7. A Guided Spring Reflection On Boundaries And Self-Respect

A Guided Spring Reflection On Boundaries And Self-Respect

Send us Fan Mail Spring has a way of exposing what we’ve been tolerating. After spring break, I’m running on low sleep and high honesty, so I put the ring light down and pick the real work up: a spring reset guided reflection to help you let go, set boundaries, and come back to yourself. I walk through the questions that cut through the noise: What are you holding on to that you’ve outgrown? Where did you abandon yourself last season? What would choosing you look like right now? Along the way, I share how “Mama Elke” was born from years of listening to Uber and Lyft confessions and being the go-to person for friends and coworkers, and why that role can quietly turn us into fixers who give too many chances. We talk about healthy boundaries, clear communication, and how to tell the difference between someone’s intent and the impact you actually feel. If you’ve been overexplaining to people who aren’t listening, staying too long hoping things will change, or confusing love with tolerance, you’re not alone. I share practical ways to protect your peace, including pausing a hard conversation, revisiting it later, doing inner shadow work, trying the gray rock method, and giving yourself permission to agree to disagree.  My favorite reminder from this reset: if you feel stuck, you may be avoiding a decision and your peace may cost you people. Listen, journal along, and then tell me one thing you’re releasing this spring or one boundary you’re finally ready to set. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review so this community can keep growing. Support the show  Like 2 Subscribe 2 me? Money Talk For Couples

Send us Fan Mail Money stress shows up in our relationship when one person earns more and the other person wants clearer organization and access to the numbers. We talk through our real bill setup, why it keeps becoming a thorn in my side, and what a calmer, more transparent system could look like.  • asking who handles finances in marriages, relationships, and situationships  • sharing our bill split and how income shapes responsibility  • using a spreadsheet to see balances, progress, and patterns  • making finances collaborative with regular sit-down check-ins  • making sure both partners have access to the information  • considering a financial advisor or trusted outside help when talks turn into arguments  • inviting listeners to share their strategies, systems, and approaches  Please, at the end of the podcast, when you're done listening, if you liked this episode, give it a thumbs up, give it a like, and if it resonated with you or you think somebody else could benefit it, it's great if you can share it out.  Support the show  Like 2 Subscribe 2 me?
