So now we’ve got another championship mind at the table, another set of eyes on Week 4, and one more person qualified to tell us when our football opinions are completely ridiculous. 😂 We also go around the area and break down the rest of Week 4 high school football, the teams making noise, the performances that stood out, and what we’re watching as the season heats up. Sermon on the Mic Pt. 6 (Give it to God)

Send us Fan Mail 🎙️ Today on The Local Sports Podcast, we had the privilege of sitting down with Pastor Matthew Thompson and Associate Pastor Tony Shackleford of Elevation Life Church. What started as a conversation about a construction project quickly turned into a discussion about faith, vision, perseverance, and trusting God's plan. We talked about the transformation of Elevation Life Church's campus and the unique opportunity TKVandy had to help expand the sanctuary while preserving the character and history of this longtime Temple of God facility. The project blended modern design elements with the church's historic roots, creating a space that honors the past while preparing for the future. More importantly, we discussed the message that resonates with so many people today: "Give It to God." Whether it's stress, addiction, fear, uncertainty, financial struggles, broken relationships, or simply the burdens we carry every day, there comes a point where we have to stop trying to control everything ourselves and place it in God's hands. Pastor Matthew and Pastor Tony shared powerful insights about faith, surrender, and finding peace through trusting Him. It was an encouraging conversation about building more than a church building—it's about building people, families, and a stronger community. A huge thank you to Pastor Matthew Thompson and Pastor Tony Shackleford for joining us and sharing their hearts with our listeners. 📍 Elevation Life Church 📍 Bay County, Florida #TheLocalSportsPodcast #ElevationLifeChurch #GiveItToGod #Faith #Community #Leadership #BayCounty #TKVandy #BuildingForTheFuture "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." — 1 Peter 5:7 Support the show
