How to Coach Around Intangible Goals

A lot of clients don’t come to coaching with clean, specific goals. They say things like, “I want to feel more confident,” “I want to trust myself,” “I want to feel sexy again,” or “I just want to feel better.” And for many coaches, especially newer ones, this can feel difficult because those goals are emotional, subjective, and hard to measure. In this episode of the Anti-Hustle Business Podcast, we break down why these are not bad goals, they’re simply incomplete. Your role as a coach is not to stay in vague language, but to help clients turn those desires into something they can actually experience, recognize, and move toward in real life. We explore why intangible goals often lead to sessions that feel insightful but stay abstract, circular, and action-light, and why “you can’t coach toward something your client can’t see.” This episode walks through the shift from coaching feelings to coaching lived experiences. Confidence becomes about behaviors, decisions, and embodiment. Self-trust becomes about what clients stop outsourcing and how they begin showing up differently in their lives. We also cover powerful questions that help clients move out of vague language and into clarity, specificity, and real transformation. When clients get specific, they take clearer action, recognize progress faster, and trust themselves more deeply. And as a coach, you stop guessing and start coaching with direction. How to Get Hired Without “Launching” (Ethical Visibility for New Coaches)

In this episode of the Anti-Hustle Business Podcast, we’re talking about something I see all the time with new coaches, this belief that you need a full launch to get hired. A funnel, a waitlist, a challenge, daily content, all of it. And if you don’t have those things, you think you’re not ready. But let me say this clearly. You do not need a launch to get hired. You need to be clear. A lot of what we see in launch culture is built on urgency and pressure, and for many people, it pushes them straight into performance mode instead of actually building trust. There’s a big difference between being visible and performing visibility. Performing sounds like pressure and convincing. Real visibility is simple. This is what I do. This is who I help. This is how you can work with me. That’s it. When your marketing is rooted in clarity and integrity, you don’t have to override yourself to make sales. You’re not trying to prove anything or push people into a decision. You’re just inviting the right people in. Getting hired is not about having a big audience. It’s about relationships. People hire coaches they feel safe with, understand clearly, and trust. So instead of asking how to launch, ask yourself where you can be clearer and more direct. If you want support building a business that grows without all the pressure and noise, go download the Anti-Hustle Business Checklist. Get INSTANT ACCESS to my FREE Training! Who You’re Being as a Coach (And How to Show Up Confident in Every Session)

In this episode of the Anti-Hustle Business Podcast, we’re talking about something I see all the time, especially with newer coaches. The belief that confidence is something you have to project. So you try to sound smarter, ask the perfect questions, and hide your nerves, and it turns into performance. But your clients are not looking for polished. They are looking for presence. Confidence in coaching is not about performing. It is about being regulated and trusting yourself, the process, and the client. When you feel unsure, you start to over talk, over-explain, and fill the silence. Not because you are doing it wrong, but because your nervous system is activated. That is a stress response. And the more you perform, the more disconnected the session becomes. Presence is something you practice. When you slow down, breathe, and allow space, your client can feel you. That is what builds trust. So notice how you are showing up. Are you performing confidence or practicing presence. Where can you slow down and be more steady. You do not need to be perfect to be a good coach. If you want support building a business that actually allows you to show up this way, go download the Anti-Hustle Business Checklist. 📈 Want my eyes on your business? Then book a Business Audit! What to Charge as a New Coach (Without Guessing or Underselling Yourself)

Pricing can bring up a lot for new coaches. Imposter syndrome, comparison, fear of rejection, and pressure to “charge your worth” all tend to show up at the same time. In this episode, I take the intensity out of the pricing conversation and focus on something much simpler. Pricing is not about charging high or proving your value. It is about charging cleanly so your business feels sustainable from the beginning. We talk about why a lot of common pricing advice does not actually help new coaches. Looking at what others charge or trying to raise your prices just to see what happens often leads to guessing or second-guessing yourself. Instead, pricing can be grounded in practical decisions like the scope of the work, the length of the container, the level of access you offer, and the amount of time and energy the work requires from you. When your pricing supports your capacity, it becomes much easier to show up clearly and consistently for your clients. This episode also explores how pricing evolves as your experience grows. Your rate is not a reflection of your worth as a person. It is simply a business decision based on the work you are offering right now. If you want help creating offers and pricing that feel clear and sustainable, download the Anti-Hustle Business Checklist. Your price does not need to impress anyone. It just needs to support the work and support you while you do it. 📈 Want my eyes on your business? Then book a Business Audit! Why Memorizing Questions Doesn't Make You a Better Coach (and What to Do Instead)

In this episode, I talk about something that might surprise some new coaches. Those long lists of “powerful coaching questions” you see online do not actually make you a better coach. In fact, relying on them can sometimes get in the way. When you are focused on remembering the next clever question, you are not fully listening to what your client is saying. And powerful coaching does not come from memorizing questions. It comes from paying attention. We explore why question lists feel so comforting when you are starting out. They can give you something to lean on when you are nervous about silence or unsure what to say next. But real coaching is not about performing the right question at the right moment. It is about listening closely enough to notice patterns, shifts in tone, or contradictions in what a client is sharing. When you are present with the conversation, the questions that create awareness tend to emerge naturally. This episode also looks at how strong listening skills create more meaningful coaching sessions. Sometimes the most impactful moment in a session is not a question at all. It might be a reflection or a moment of silence that allows the client to think more deeply. If you want to strengthen your coaching practice and build a business that supports you while you grow, download the Anti-Hustle Business Checklist. The most powerful questions in coaching usually come from one simple skill: truly listening. 📈 Want my eyes on your business? Then book a Business Audit! Why New Coaches Should Start Charging Now

There’s something I say to almost every new coach that makes people uncomfortable. Start charging immediately. Not when you feel ready. Not after you have a stack of testimonials. Now. We’ve been conditioned to believe charging is selfish or premature, that we need more training before we’re “worth it.” That is not true. Charging is professionalism. When you coach for free indefinitely, you are not being generous. You are avoiding discomfort and training your nervous system to associate your work with overgiving. Free coaching is not neutral. When there is no investment, people show up differently. They cancel more easily. They prepare less. They take less ownership. Coaches shift too. You over-function. You over-explain. You try to prove yourself. The container gets blurry. Payment creates clarity. Money is not a reward. It is a boundary. When someone pays you, they commit. And you show up differently as well. This is not about charging premium rates tomorrow. It is about operating like a professional now. Clear agreements. Clear pricing. Clean boundaries. When you do not charge, you risk burnout and resentment. Charging early builds integrity and confidence. If you want help building a coaching business that does not rely on overgiving or undercharging, download the Anti-Hustle Business Checklist. Charging does not make you less compassionate. It makes your work clean. 📈 Want my eyes on your business? Then book a Business Audit! No matter where you are in your business, I'm here to support you around your strategies and growth! How to Get a Coaching Request (and Structure a Coaching Call That Actually Works)

Most new coaches do not lack skill. They lack structure. In this episode, I name the insecurity almost every coach feels at the beginning. Not knowing what to say next. Feeling anxious about silence. Worrying you are doing it wrong. Coaching is not meant to feel like a normal conversation. It is a structured conversation designed to create results. If it feels clunky, you are learning. Like any new language, it gets easier with practice. I explain why getting a clear coaching request at the start of every session changes everything. Without one, sessions drift or turn into venting. A session without a request is just a conversation, and that is not what your client is paying for. I walk you through a clean session flow, how to check in mid-call, and how to close in a way that reinforces ownership. This is where you learn to redirect instead of rescue and keep responsibility with the client. Structure builds trust and safety. Clear agreements create predictable containers. Returning to the request keeps the session focused and ethical. When clients know where they are in the process, they relax and go deeper. If you feel unsure in sessions, this will ground you. Why Anti-Hustle Is the Only Sustainable Business Model for Coaches

Anti-hustle isn’t a trend for me. It’s a response to what I’ve watched happen to coaches, including myself, over the last decade. We’re building businesses inside collective stress, economic pressure, and an industry that has normalized burnout as the cost of success. This episode isn’t about working less just because. It’s about what allows coaches to stay ethical, present, and effective long-term. Because if your business only works when you’re dysregulated, that’s not sustainability. That’s a coping strategy. I unpack what people get wrong about anti-hustle, why hustle models quietly burn out coaches and harm clients, and why sustainability isn’t a self-care aesthetic or a mindset preference. It’s an ethical obligation. Burned-out coaches can’t hold clean containers. Urgency leaks into sessions. Boundaries blur. Integrity gets compromised when survival mode is running the show. A dysregulated coach cannot create regulated change. This episode sets the foundation for Season 7, where we’re focusing on coach training, ethics, and professional business building. We’ll talk about how to hold containers cleanly, charge ethically, show up visibly without burning out, and build trust instead of chasing attention. If hustle has been your default, you’re not weak and you’re not doing it wrong. You were taught survival strategies. The real question is what sustainability looks like for you now, and whether you’re ready to build a business you can actually live inside of. 📈 Want my eyes on your business?
