I am not a podcast person. I often find them to be cheesy, meandering, and pointless. Often, they are, simply put, drivel. On top of this, everyone and their brother seems to have one about any subject, even the asinine and inane. I find spiritual podcasts to be much the same, even the ones that are popular and widely shared, not to mention a widespread lack of sound, well-founded, and enriching content.
However…
I will make an exception for this one. David Watts keeps them short, sweet, and unembellished. He has a great voice for it, quality recordings, and an unhurried presentation. Every point is undeniably couched in Scripture and just in the first handful of episodes he has covered incredible ground, especially considering the fact that each episode is only about 5 minutes. No 3-hour interviews. No cheesy music. No fluff. Solid, sound, and relevant.
This is what a podcast should be.
