Podcast 88 - But If Not" Doesn't Mean What You Think — Daniel 3 Re-Examined

Everyone knows the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace — but what if the most quoted verse in the whole chapter has been read backwards for generations? In this episode, Mike Massa walks verse by verse through Daniel chapter 3 and makes the case that Daniel 3:17-18 has been widely misinterpreted. The common reading — "God will save us, but if He doesn't, we still won't bow" — collapses under its own logic. As Mike puts it, if God doesn't deliver them, "they haven't got a knee to not bow down to... they're not there to not bow down"  The accurate reading, he argues: If you throw us in the furnace, our God will deliver us. If you don't throw us in, we still won't bow down. No escape hatch. No backup plan. Total certainty. In this episode: Nebuchadnezzar's fall from "head of gold" to self-promoting idolatryWhy music accompanies the command to worship — and how the enemy still uses music to pull hearts away from the LordA hard look at modern worship: how platform performance turned congregations into spectatorsWhy the furnace was already burning — intimidation as a coercion tactic, so hot it killed the soldiers who carried the three menThe Daniel 3 / David & Goliath parallel: speaking what God has said before you can see itHebrews 11 and the "Hall of Faith" — those who died in faith, not having received the promisePeter on the water: "If that's you, bid me come" — why faith is a response to God's word, not an initiating positionHebrews 4:12 and developing an internal spiritual ear instead of reasoning your way through decisionsFor more information visit trailblazertraining.com Or email hello@trailblazertraing.com Much Grace

Psalm Podcast 84 - I’ve Gone Astray: Why David’s Final Prayer Still Matters

In this final episode of our Psalm 119 series, Mike Massa unpacks David’s startling confession at the very end of the chapter: “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.” — Psalm 119:176 After 175 verses of passionately loving God’s Word, His laws, precepts, and statutes, David closes with a humble admission: “I’ve gone astray”—and a bold request: “Seek Your servant.” In this teaching, you’ll discover: Why someone who deeply loves and remembers God’s commandments can still confess that they’ve wanderedHow this final verse reveals the heart of a Shepherd God who pursues us, even when we driftWhy spiritual maturity is not independence, but deeper dependence on God’s graceHow to honestly pray, “Lord, seek me when I stray, even though I love Your Word”Practical ways to respond when your heart feels dull, hard, or spiritually numbIf you’ve ever felt ashamed that you wander even while loving Scripture, this message will help you see that David’s final prayer is an invitation to honest confession and confident trust in God’s pursuit. Psalm Podcast 83 - Hit but Not Offended: How the Word Changes Your Reactions

What does it really mean to love God’s Word more than wealth, reputation, or comfort? In this powerful teaching from Psalm 119:161–168, Mike Massa unpacks how loving God’s law produces great peace, freedom from offense, and a heart that rejoices over Scripture like treasure. From princes persecuting without cause to “Great peace have they which love Thy law, and nothing shall offend them” (Psalm 119:165), this episode challenges believers to move beyond casual Bible reading into a life where the Word is our food, our fortress, and our delight. In this message you’ll discover: Why opposition and persecution reveal where we really stand on God’s WordWhat it looks like to rejoice in Scripture like finding great treasureWhy David could say God’s law is better than thousands of gold and silver coinsThe danger of “spiritual anorexia” and living weak from lack of the WordHow loving God’s law leads to unshakeable peace and a life free from offenseWhy offenses expose hard, unbroken places in our hearts that the Word hasn’t yet penetratedThe practical call to hear and do the Word—not out of legalism, but out of loveIf you’ve felt spiritually dry, easily offended, or spiritually weak, this teaching will call you back to the Word and presence of God as your daily bread.  Psalm 119:161–168  Mike Massa  Psalm 119 Teaching Series — Blaze Trailer Podcast For more information visit trailblazertraining.com Or email hello@trailblazertraing.com Much Grace
