    The Conjuring House: What Really Happened in Harrisville, Rhode Island?

    In this episode, Robin and Chris head to Harrisville, Rhode Island, to explore the real story behind the infamous Conjuring House. We begin with the Perron family, who moved into the 1736 farmhouse in 1971 and lived there for nearly a decade. We discuss the strange experiences the family reported, the spirits they believed were in the home, the involvement of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the controversial séance, and the very different accounts of what actually happened during the Warrens’ investigation. We also separate the real events from the Hollywood version of the story, including the truth about Bathsheba Sherman and the claims surrounding her supposed history. But was the Conjuring House really haunted? We look at the evidence from both sides, including the Perron family’s firsthand accounts, the Warrens’ conclusions, later homeowners’ experiences, skeptical investigations, disputed historical claims, and the possibility of ordinary explanations for some of the reported phenomena.     The Amityville Horror: What Really Happened at 112 Ocean Avenue?

    In this episode, Robin and Chris dive into the story behind one of America’s most infamous haunted houses. We begin with the horrifying 1974 murders of six members of the DeFeo family at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York, before following George and Kathy Lutz and their children, who moved into the house in 1975 and left just 28 days later. We explore the strange experiences they claimed to have witnessed, the alleged house blessing, the infamous paranormal activity, and the investigation by Ed and Lorraine Warren, including the mysterious photograph that became one of the most famous pieces of Amityville evidence. But was the house really haunted? We dig into the controversy surrounding the story, including William Weber’s allegations that the haunting was fabricated, skeptical investigators, disputed claims and inconsistencies, later homeowners, the bestselling book and Hollywood movies, and the many legends that grew around the property. We also explain the address change from 112 Ocean Avenue to 108 Ocean Avenue and bring the story into the present day, where the house remains a private residence.     The True Story of Robert the Doll

    In this episode, Robin and Chris tell the story of Robert the Doll, one of the most famous haunted objects in the United States. The doll belonged to Robert Eugene Otto of Key West, Florida and reportedly came from either a Caribbean housekeeper or a German toy company called Steiff. Strange events followed him from childhood, including voices, objects moving, and claims that the doll was responsible. As an adult, Gene kept Robert in the family home, now called the Artist House, where neighbors and visitors reported seeing the doll in different positions and feeling watched. After Gene’s death, Robert was moved to the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, where he remains on display. Visitors are asked to ask permission before taking photos and many letters have been sent to the doll from people claiming bad luck after ignoring that rule.
