REACTION: UCLA Dominates Nevada 27-0 — Can Anyone Take Down the Bruins?

UCLA keeps rolling. The Bruins improved to 8-0 with a dominant 27-0 shutout of Nevada, and once again the story was UCLA’s defense. Nevada threw interceptions on each of its first three possessions, UCLA finished with four takeaways, and the Wolf Pack managed just 175 total yards against a defense that continues to look like one of the best units in college football. We break down another impressive performance from a UCLA team enjoying its best start in more than two decades. We discuss the Bruins’ increasingly opportunistic defense, their conservative but effective offensive approach, and why UCLA doesn’t necessarily need to score 40 or 50 points to dominate an opponent. We also look ahead to what could be one of UCLA’s toughest remaining tests: a road trip to Minnesota. The Golden Gophers play a remarkably similar style: strong defense, a commitment to the running game and an ability to drag opponents into low-scoring battles. Can UCLA beat Minnesota at its own game and keep this undefeated season alive? Plus, November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. We are raising awareness and encouraging conversations about lung cancer and early detection which is personally important to us. https://www.lung.org/lung-force/about-lung-force/featured-campaigns/lung-cancer-awareness-month https://www.lungevity.org/lcam-2026

REACTION: BYU Survives Arizona State - The Cardiac Cougars Do It Again

The Cardiac Cougars did it again. BYU survived another tense finish against Arizona State, and once again the Cougars found a way to make the biggest plays when they absolutely needed them. We break down BYU’s latest close win, including a remarkable 95-yard fourth-quarter touchdown drive that may prove to be one of the defining moments of their season. With the running game struggling badly without LJ Martin, BYU increasingly put the game in Bear Bachmeier’s hands. When the Cougars needed a play, Bachmeier delivered including two critical fourth-down conversions on the go-ahead drive. We discuss Kalani Sitake’s aggressive decision to go for it deep in his own territory and why that gamble demonstrated the confidence this team has developed. We also look at Arizona State’s second-half comeback, the controversial BYU touchdown that Big 12 officials later acknowledged should not have counted, and just how different this offense looks without Martin in the backfield. BYU is now 7-1 and continues to survive games that seem determined to go down to the final seconds. Now the stakes get even higher. Next up: Utah and the Holy War.

REACTION: Indiana Survives Minnesota - Defense And Charlie Becker Is Enough

Indiana somehow found a way. In one of the wildest finishes of the season, the Hoosiers survived Minnesota in overtime despite quarterback problems, disastrous special teams and a Golden Gophers team perfectly comfortable dragging Indiana into a defensive rock fight. We break down Charlie Becker’s spectacular performance and make the case that he belongs in the conversation for the best player in college football. With Minnesota seemingly putting the game away on a 60-yard field goal with only seconds remaining, Becker delivered the huge catch Indiana needed to set up a remarkable 60-yard field goal of its own. Then, in overtime, Indiana went right back to its star receiver. We also discuss the decision to replace Josh Hoover with Grant Wilson at halftime, Wilson’s encouraging second-half performance and what Indiana may now have to consider at quarterback. But the biggest takeaway may be Indiana’s defense. The Hoosiers survived two badly shanked punts, multiple field-goal disasters and an offense that struggled for much of the afternoon and the defense repeatedly refused to let Minnesota put the game away. It wasn’t pretty. It was barely a win. But championship-level defenses can keep you alive when almost everything else goes wrong. https://www.lung.org/lung-force/about-lung-force/featured-campaigns/lung-cancer-awareness-month https://www.lungevity.org/lcam-2026

REACTION: Texas Tech Runs Over Arizona — Is Castellanos the Answer at QB?

Texas Tech may have found its formula. The Red Raiders turned to Tommy Castellanos at quarterback against Arizona, and the result was an offense that looked completely different. Castellanos’ ability to run put enormous pressure on the Wildcats’ defense, helping Texas Tech pile up 328 rushing yards while creating opportunities in the passing game. We break down why Castellanos can be such a difficult quarterback to defend when he’s protecting the football, playing to his strengths, and whether this performance was enough to make him Texas Tech’s starter moving forward. We also look at a fascinating contrast between the two offenses. Arizona’s Noah Fifita threw for more than 400 yards, but the Wildcats were essentially unable to run the football. Texas Tech did exactly the opposite, dominating on the ground while its defensive front consistently pressured Fifita. The game was still 24-23 entering the fourth quarter, but that’s when Texas Tech took control. The defense shut Arizona down while the running game delivered the finishing blow. With a dominant defensive front, a powerful rushing attack and Castellanos adding another dimension at quarterback, Texas Tech suddenly looks like a very difficult team to deal with in the Big 12. Is this the version of the Red Raiders we’ll see the rest of the season? https://www.lung.org/lung-force/about-lung-force/featured-campaigns/lung-cancer-awareness-month https://www.lungevity.org/lcam-2026

REACTION: Utah Destroys Cincinnati — This Looks Like a Playoff Team

Utah just made a statement. Coming off Cincinnati’s impressive win over Texas Tech, the Utes went on the road and completely overwhelmed the Bearcats, building a 42-6 halftime lead in one of Utah’s most dominant performances of the season. We break down another outstanding game from Devin Dampier, who showed that defenses have to worry about much more than his ability to run. Dampier was efficient and dangerous through the air, while Utah’s running game, tight ends and receivers gave Cincinnati problems everywhere. When this offense is clicking, defenses are essentially forced to pick their poison. We also discuss a Utah defense that was far more dominant than the final box score suggests and why this team suddenly feels different from Utah teams of recent years. The Utes are undefeated, playing their best football of the season and increasingly look like a legitimate College Football Playoff team And the timing couldn’t be better. Next up is the Holy War against BYU in what could be the biggest game of the Big 12 season. We look ahead to that matchup, why Utah should enter as the favorite, and whether the Cardiac Cougars can find another way to survive against a Utah team that currently looks like a machine.. https://www.lung.org/lung-force/about-lung-force/featured-campaigns/lung-cancer-awareness-month https://www.lungevity.org/lcam-2026

REACTION: Keyone Jenkins Leads UCF to First Ever Top 5 Win over BYU

UCF just handed BYU its first loss of the season, and Keyone Jenkins may have announced himself as one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the Big 12. In this episode, we break down UCF’s double-overtime win over BYU and a performance from Jenkins that completely changed the way we look at the Knights. BYU entered the game relying on one of the conference’s best defenses, but UCF moved the ball in a way no opponent had managed against the Cougars this season. Jenkins threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, while repeatedly escaping pressure and extending plays when BYU appeared to have him contained. We also discuss the wild sequence at the end of regulation, BYU’s blocked field goal, the unusual 10-second runoff and a controversial roughing-the-kicker call in overtime. For BYU, the Cardiac Cougars finally ran out of answers after repeatedly asking their defense to rescue them. For UCF, this could be something much more significant. Scott Frost appears to have found the right quarterback for his offense, and if Jenkins continues developing at this pace, UCF could have the centerpiece of a team capable of becoming a serious Big 12 contender.

REACTION: Oklahoma State Smokes Colorado- Pokes Have the Best QB-RB Duo in the Country

Oklahoma State’s offense just keeps rolling, and Drew Mestemaker and Caleb Hawkins are quickly becoming one of the most dangerous quarterback-running back combinations in college football. In this episode, we break down the Cowboys’ win over Colorado and an offensive performance that turned a competitive first half into an avalanche after halftime. Mestemaker once again looked completely comfortable running the offense, throwing for nearly 400 yards while showing the poise, decision-making and pocket presence that have made him one of our favorite quarterbacks to watch. Meanwhile, Hawkins continues to look like an NFL-caliber running back, combining size, speed, receiving ability and exceptional contact balance. We discuss why Hawkins makes the entire Oklahoma State offense work, how Mestemaker consistently capitalizes on free plays, and why the Cowboys have become so difficult to defend when their running and passing games are working together. We also look at Oklahoma State’s opportunistic, high-havoc defense, Colorado’s second-half collapse and what lies ahead in a crowded Big 12 race. With Texas Tech looming later on the schedule, Oklahoma State still has work to do. But with Mestemaker and Hawkins leading this offense, the Cowboys look capable of beating anyone in the conference.

REACTION: UCLA Is Still Undefeated - They Might Be the Best Team in the Big Ten

UCLA is still undefeated, and at this point it’s getting difficult to call what the Bruins are doing a surprise. In this episode, we break down UCLA’s 28-10 win over Michigan State and why the Bruins increasingly look like one of the most complete teams in the Big Ten. It starts with the defense. UCLA held Michigan State to just 156 total yards, generated four sacks and six tackles for loss, and once again showed strength at every level. We discuss another big performance from a defensive unit that doesn’t appear to have an obvious weakness. We also look at Ty Dieffenbach’s continued emergence at quarterback. The former backup looks completely comfortable running the offense, and one hustle play following a UCLA fumble may have been a defining moment in his transformation into the leader of this team. The Bruins still have things to clean up, particularly after an uncharacteristically sloppy day protecting the football. But with a physical defense, a deep running back room and a quarterback playing with confidence, UCLA has a formula that should travel. They’re undefeated, they’re leading the Big Ten, and the question is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid: Is anyone in the conference clearly better than UCLA right now?
