Each and everyone of us can look back at our lives and see those milestone moments that have marked us. They tell the story of who we are and they tell of the ongoing work of Christ in our lives. Milestones remind us. They challenge us. They encourage us. They shape us. This year, we want to take a look at milestone moments in the Bible. We want to learn how to apply those lessons to our lives that we may become women whose faith is strengthened and whose influence speaks of who God is in every circumstance throughout our lives. Welcome to Milestones.

Milestones: Alpha & Omega: Week 6

What happens when the person God chooses seems like the least likely candidate? In this week's Alpha & Omega, we follow the story of Jacob, a man who spent much of his life grasping for control, manipulating circumstances, and trying to secure what God had already promised to give by grace. Through Jacob's encounters with God at Bethel and Peniel, we discover a powerful truth: God's faithfulness doesn't depend on our perfection. His grace meets us where we are, but it doesn't leave us unchanged. And as we trace the story forward to Jesus, we see that Jacob's ladder was pointing to something greater: a Savior who came down to us. Join us as we explore the God who chooses, pursues, transforms, and faithfully finishes what He starts.

Milestones: Alpha & Omega: Week 5

Genesis 22 is one of the most difficult and challenging stories in Scripture. As Abraham is asked to surrender his promised son, Isaac, we see a faith that trusts God even without understanding, and a God who provides. In this episode, we trace the story from Mount Moriah to the cross, discovering how Isaac points us toward Jesus and what Abraham’s obedience teaches us about surrender, trust, and following God when we can’t yet see what He sees.

Milestones: Alpha & Omega: Week 4

What do we do when God makes a promise, but we can’t see how He’s going to fulfill it? In Genesis 12 and 15, God calls Abraham to trust Him without knowing the whole plan and then makes a covenant that reveals just how seriously God takes His promises. In Week 4 of Alpha & Omega, we follow that promise from Abraham through Israel, David, the prophets, and ultimately to Jesus, discovering that the story of redemption has never rested on human perfection, but on the faithfulness of God. We are responsible for faithfulness. God is responsible for the outcome.

Milestones: Alpha & Omega: Week 3

In Genesis 6–9, the world God called “very good” has become deeply corrupted, but human rebellion will not have the final word. Through Noah’s story, we see a God who takes sin seriously, provides a way of rescue, and remains faithful to what He has promised. From the flood to the cross, Scripture reveals the God who remembers and reminds us that even when we can’t see what He’s doing, His silence is not His forgetfulness.

Milestones: Alpha & Omega: Week 2

In week two of Alpha & Omega, we turn to Genesis 3 and the story of what happens when humanity chooses its own way. What begins in rebellion quickly becomes shame, hiding, blame, and brokenness. Yet even in the middle of the wreckage, we see that God does not abandon the story. He comes looking, He speaks, He judges, He covers, and He promises rescue. As we trace the thread from the garden to the gospel and all the way to Revelation, we see that the Bible is not just the story of what went wrong. It is the story of a faithful God who pursues His people and points them to Jesus. When we are tempted to hide, cover, or control, Genesis 3 invites us to ask the deeper question: Where are we, and what will we do when God calls us into the light?

Milestones: Alpha & Omega: Week 1

Before there was anything else, there was God. In week one of Alpha & Omega, we begin where Scripture begins and discover that the Bible is first and foremost a story about who God is. From the first words of Genesis to the final pages of Revelation, we see one connected story held together by one faithful God and centered on Jesus, the eternal Word who was there from the beginning. As we trace the threads of creation, light, redemption, and new creation, we're invited to stop beginning with ourselves and learn to see our lives through the character of God. We may be living somewhere in the middle of the story, but we know the God who holds the beginning, the end, and everything in between.

Milestones S5W13: How to Actually Change

Why is real change so hard even when we want it? In this week’s Milestones lesson, we walk through a clear, practical path to transformation from Colossians 3. This isn’t about managing behavior, it’s about changing your thinking, removing what doesn’t belong, and replacing it with what does.

Milestones S5W12: How to Stay Rooted When Life Pulls at You

In chapter 2 of Colossians, we move from putting Jesus at the center to learning how to stay rooted in Him. Something that is especially important when pressure, comparison, and expectations begin to creep in.
