    Hating on narcissistic male celebrities

The ladies are BACK after taking a week off, and naturally, they return with two weeks’ worth of life updates, emotional damage, questionable decisions, and enough chaos to make the Hotmess Express a double-decker.During the co-host catch-up, Erika immediately gives Gen shit for not doing a show while she was away. Apparently, Gen’s decision to take the week off was simply proof that she doesn't care about the fans. At least according to Erika. Then the mood takes a turn as the ladies roll straight into the ongoing rollercoaster that is Erika’s life. 2026 started with heartbreak, and after losing her beloved pup, Erika is hoping that was the final heartbreak she has to endure before heading into 2027. She is officially ready to get off this emotional rollercoaster and would like to speak to the manager.Thankfully, Gen is here to lighten the mood with a very different kind of life update. She was invited to DJ at the Texas polls for early voting, because apparently Gen's resume now includes keeping the voting public entertained. And then there’s the hat.If you were wondering why Gen has been mysteriously sporting headwear, mystery solved: she’s covering up the greys until her next hair appointment. So enjoy this week's version of Gen, because next week she’ll be back with a fabulous new hairdo and hopefully a whole new set of problems. The ladies then rolled into Gen’s Ick Eek Eww of the Week, and this one had them asking a very important question: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AT 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE?! The topic? The possibility of Nicki Minaj becoming the next White House Press Secretary. Because apparently the job market has entered its experimental era.Erika then brought an absolutely infuriating story to The Dildo of Consequence that, quite honestly, did not belong in the segment. But she didn’t know where else to put it, and frankly, she needed everyone else to be burdened by it too. You’ll have to watch to hear the full story, but the only takeaway we can give you is this: men will do literally anything except go to therapy. And somehow, that became the unofficial theme of the rest of the show.Relationship Chaos and Pop Culture Spiral both unintentionally turned into deep dives on male narcissistic celebrities. First up, Nick Cannon. Nick, buddy... please check yourself. You and Mariah Carey are never going to be equally yoked, and the ladies have some thoughts about that. Then came Billy Corgan, whose behavior had the ladies asking how someone can be so damaged that they would rather potentially damage a much younger woman than, say, GO TO THERAPY. Apparently therapy remains the final boss for some men.For Middle Finger, the ladies had two very different targets.First up: Trunk-or-Treats. What happened to the good old days of knocking on a stranger’s door and politely demanding candy like nature intended?! Why are we putting children in parking lots and calling it Halloween? Then came Rolling Stone magazine, because who the hell is writing some of these “Best Of” lists?! At this point, the ladies are convinced some of these rankings aren't actually rankings at all. They’re rage bait with a magazine subscription. The ladies wrapped up the show with an important reminder: GO VOTE. The midterm elections are coming, and they are absolutely vital. Whatever your political affiliation, get informed, show up, and use your voice.Because apparently if we want things to change, we have to do more than scream at tour screens. All aboard the Hotmess Express. 🚂💨

    Hating on Gentry Standard Time

The ladies are back this week with an emotional grab bag of books, dogs, drones, affairs, political nonsense, and one very questionable AI girlfriend. So basically... Tuesday.During the co-host catch-up, Gen takes everyone on her journey into East of Eden. She decided she should probably read the book before diving into the series because she likes to be an educated woman. Unfortunately, about three-quarters of the way through, she discovered she had been reading the abridged version this entire time. So naturally, she had to start all over from page one of the full adult version. The things she does for education. Meanwhile, Erika had another emotionally unstable week. While preparing for her interview with Sam from Interpol, she was also still dealing with her pup's ongoing health issues. Sunday brought the full spectrum of human emotion when her interview with Sam went extremely well. Like, extremely well. So well that the interview turned into a TWO-HOUR conversation. Naturally, the emotional high was immediately followed by taking her pup to the vet, sending those nerves straight back into the basement. So, in an effort to keep Erika from crying on the show... again... Gen jumped right into the first segment with The Dildo of Consequence. This week's victim? The audacity of people who think they can simply pick whatever airplane seat they want without paying for the upgrade. Apparently, if you wanted the good seat, you should have bought the good seat, Susan. Erika brought an Ick Eek Eww that was originally intended to be an EEK, but after approximately three seconds of further thought, became a full-blown ICK. She witnessed her first air-dropped food delivery and was initially in awe of the technology. But then she started thinking about it. And thinking about it turned into rage.Because apparently we have figured out how to send a Bahn Mi sandwich flying through the sky directly to your front door, but we're still struggling to use technology to clean up toxic waste sites, help people living in poverty, or solve literally any of humanity's larger problems. Priorities, people. Gen rolled into Relationship Chaos with the story of a man who went viral after complaining that his wife left him for cheating on her "only once." Thankfully, his wife packed her bags and exited that relationship before he could get a second opportunity to discover what "once" means.Erika kept Relationship Chaos going, but this time brought it into the office, which led directly into Workplace Rage Therapy. Tammy was confronted by her coworker's husband after discovering that said coworker had been using Tammy as an excuse to cover up her affair... with their manager. Because apparently some coworkers don't understand boundaries, ethics, or the concept of leaving their colleagues out of their extracurricular activities.Gen then launched us into a Pop Culture Spiral, going off about the ridiculous political ads taking over their home state of Texas, along with the story involving Ken Paxton and a $10,000 pen. Yes. You read that correctly. A TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR PEN. Because apparently we're doing luxury stationery now.The ladies closed out the evening with Middle Finger, where they collectively attempted to figure out whether they were angry at Daylight Saving Time or Standard Time and somehow managed to fumble the entire concept. Nobody said they were professors.Either way, Gen has officially declared war on the clock and wants Gentry Savings Time moving forward.Erika gave her middle finger to the man who created an AI girlfriend and proposed to her just 21 days later.Because apparently men aren't lonely enough.

Hating on mailing your own poop

All aboard the Hotmess Express, where one minute you're dealing with real-life heartbreak and the next you’re somehow Jedi mind-tricking your favorite musician into agreeing to an interview. Just another week at I Hate It Here. The ladies kicked things off by catching everyone up on their week. Gen is still recovering from being ALL OVER the social audio streets, hosting so many shows that her nickname, Oprah Genfry, is starting to stick. Meanwhile, Erika experienced the full spectrum of human emotion. One of her pups is very ill and she’s understandably struggling with it, while somehow maintaining her sanity long enough to pull off what may be her biggest win of 2026: getting Sam Fogorino from her all-time favorite band, Interpol, to agree to an interview. Peaks and valleys, baby. Actually, that pretty much sums up Erika’s entire 2026. Erika brought an ICK this week that had the entire live audience immediately on board. She stumbled across videos of a mom who gets to school 30 minutes early just so she can sit in the car and cuddle with her roughly 9-year-old son before he goes inside. Now, listen, loving your kid is great. Cuddling your kid is great. But posting it all over the internet? Ma'am. You are creating the evidence your son’s future middle school classmates are going to need. And yes, to be very clear: this is her CHILD, not her man. We are not accusing this woman of anything weird. We are accusing her of having questionable social-media judgment. Big difference.Next up was Relationship Chaos, where Gen played a clip of a man questioning the people who invite him to all their “big moment” events that require a gift, but somehow forget to invite him to the regular hangouts, cookouts, and everyday stuff. The ladies’ conclusion? Honestly, leave them off the invite list entirely. They’re homebodies. They have snacks. They have couches. They have no desire to attend your function. Erika then dove headfirst into the latest online discourse surrounding a recruiter for Fortune 400 and 500 companies who went viral after advising job seekers that bringing an iced coffee into an interview is a faux pas. Gen Z promptly lost its collective mind in the comments. The ladies broke down why the recruiter’s advice actually makes sense in a corporate interview setting and somehow arrived at the conclusion that the education system has failed us all and discernment is now a rare and endangered species. To be clear, she was talking about interviewing for Fortune 400/500 companies, not applying for a shift at the thrift store down the road. There is a difference. And finally, the Middle Fingers came flying. Gen gave hers to the person who hit someone’s car and left behind a fake apology note that basically said, “Sorry, sucks for you,” while providing absolutely no identifying information or accountability. Erika gave hers to modern science, specifically Cologuard, for expecting her to scoop her own poop into a container and mail it through the postal system. There has to be a better way to screen for colon cancer in 2026. We have robots on Mars. Surely we can figure this out.

    Hating on ghost hunching

🚂💨 All aboard the Hotmess Express, because this week we invited a psychic onto the train and somehow she fit right in.Gen and Erika are joined by Erika’s longtime friend, Tarot Reader and Psychic Vanessa, but before bringing her into the chaos, the ladies had some catching up to do.Gen was thrilled that her daughters got to spend some quality time together at a Tame Impala concert, which naturally led to a full spiral about the absolutely criminal cost of going to concerts these days. Tickets, parking, food, drinks… at this point, attending a concert requires the financial planning of a small home purchase.Erika had her own spiral brewing after nearly calling the IHIH Spiral Line to crash out over a coworker. Because apparently someone else's emergency does not automatically become Erika's emergency. Thankfully, she composed herself long enough to keep the show moving. Then Vanessa joined the madness and got her official introduction to the IHIH chat, which is basically being thrown into the deep end and handed a microphone. The ladies talked with Vanessa about her psychic abilities, how she discovered them, and what it was like learning to embrace something she initially wanted absolutely nothing to do with. She eventually leaned into her abilities and now uses them to help people heal, all while working as a music writer in Los Angeles.Naturally, the conversation eventually went from psychic abilities to hunching ghosts and angels, because there is apparently no normal stopping point for this show. The chat had thoughts. The chat had jokes. The chat was, as always, completely ungovernable. The ladies then put Vanessa through a round of Moral Dilemmas, and let's just say her moral compass doesn't always point due north. Which means, obviously, she fits right in.Vanessa then read Gen's tarot cards, delivering an inspiring confirmation that she's on the right path. Erika squeezed in one question of her own about her new venture with Gen, and thankfully, the cards did NOT predict the arrival of Co-Host Number Three. Crisis averted. Vanessa also took questions from the chat, resulting in one spectacularly awkward moment that left the host, the audience, and probably everyone watching from home collectively wondering what the hell just happened. You'll have to watch that one unfold. And finally, the ladies wrapped things up with the Finger of the Week. Gen gave hers to Nextdoor and the neighborhood oversharers who apparently believe their entire personal lives belong on a community bulletin board. Erika gave hers to influencers doing increasingly unhinged things for clout. Get your bag, by all means, but maybe don't sacrifice your dignity for the algorithm.Vanessa's first IHIH middle finger went straight to McDonald's for not using “real” meat. The ladies may have agreed with the sentiment, but let's be honest… none of us are suddenly giving up the drive-thru.Psychic readings, moral dilemmas, ghost-hunching, awkward audience moments, and three women collectively questioning humanity.Just another completely normal night on I Hate It Here.

Hating on punching yourself in the face

All aboard the Hotmess Express, where this week the ladies talked so much they held the audience hostage for an extra 20 minutes. That’s right. The show was supposed to end. Erika and Gen simply refused. After 4.5 years of hosting this show, apparently they’ve discovered they have even MORE things to say. Somebody should probably take away their microphones. The ladies kicked things off by catching up on their busy week, which somehow led Erika straight back to the emotional devastation of her childhood Little League soccer career. Her team never won a single game. Not one. Some wounds never heal. Then Ick, Eek, Eww took a deeply disturbing turn when Gen spiraled over the FBI removing bestiality from its hiring process. Yes, you read that correctly. Naturally, this unlocked some of Gen’s own deeply unfortunate neighborhood-dog trauma. You’ll have to tune in for the rest because there are some things we simply cannot explain in a YouTube description. For The Dildo of Consequence, Erika brought a viral video from the Denver airport where a racist man discovered that actions have consequences, and they apparently arrive at approximately 30,000 feet. Karma did not waste any time.Erika also confessed that Gen almost became the subject of this week's Dildo of Consequence after getting herself clipped and turned into an audio meme circulating around their social audio community. Honestly? She brought that one on herself.Workplace Rage Therapy handed the reins over to Gen, who brought us the story of a Karen who managed to get herself arrested while, shockingly, the police actually did their jobs and a man kept his employment. And yes, the story involves a woman punching herself in the face. We promise we are not making this up.Then came Relationship Chaos, where Erika told the story of a woman who was “tested” by a man she'd only been dating for a month. His brilliant plan? Trick her into cleaning his house and cooking him dinner. Fortunately, she saw the setup, put down the sponge, left the house, and saved herself from becoming someone's unpaid domestic staff. And then came the moment nobody saw coming. For Finger of the Week, Gen gave hers to the man standing by the freeway holding a completely blank cardboard sign. Erika, meanwhile, gave herself the finger. And then she cried. After 4.5 years of maintaining her carefully cultivated reputation as the woman with a black heart, Erika finally cracked. The brand is in shambles. 🖕🏼😭And just when you thought the chaos couldn't escalate, next week the ladies welcome their FIRST EVER GUEST (in the Gen and Erika Era): Erika's friend and tarot reader, who will be reading Erika and Gen's cards live on air. What could possibly go wrong?

Hating on Senators Recreating Weekend at Bernie’s

🚂💨 All aboard the Hotmess Express, because this week’s itinerary was so packed the ladies didn’t even have time to talk about their own lives. No new rock stars slid into Erika’s DMs this week, so unfortunately we’ll all just have to cope. 💔 But there was no shortage of chaos, because Gen and Erika jumped straight into the madness. For Ick, Eek, Eww, Gen introduced us to the latest internet trend: walking up to complete strangers, handing them a completely random note, walking away, and filming their reactions. Because apparently we’ve reached a point where confusing innocent people in public is now content. The internet remains a deeply fascinating place. Then came The Dildo of Consequence, where Erika found herself applauding a construction crew for repossessing a wood fence after the homeowner refused to pay the final bill. No payment, no fence. Sometimes consequences come with power tools. Workplace Rage Therapy took a very personal turn this week when anonymous calls hit the IHIH Spiral Line accusing Gen of being a DEI co-host hire. 👀 After extensive investigation by absolutely no one, the ladies have determined there is only one possible culprit: Gen’s old podcast co-host, who is apparently watching from the bushes as the girls team up, level up, and continue making IHIH bigger and better. 😂 Allegations? Absolutely fictional. Petty podcast lore? Delicious. Then Relationship Chaos took us down a long, twisted road involving an incredibly insecure wife, the cops, her brother-in-law, and a sister-in-law who ended up being deported. It’s the kind of story that makes you sit back and wonder how one person managed to create THAT much chaos. The ladies are hoping karma finds her with the same urgency as her divorce papers. The Pop Culture Spiral went dark this week as Erika and Gen unpacked the absolute spectacle surrounding Mitch McConnell and what can only be described as a real-life attempt at Weekend at Bernie’s: Senate Edition. At this point, the ladies have questions, concerns, and several thoughts about retirement plans. And finally, it was time for the Finger of the Week. 🖕🏼 Gen gave hers to the people who stand up on airplanes before the door even opens. We know you're excited. The plane is still closed. Erika had a more… follicular target: men shaving off their eyelashes and pheromone-maxing in an attempt to appear more masculine. Her official response? Crusty eyes and skin rashes. She regrets nothing. Some weeks you have time for a life update. This was not one of those weeks.

Hating on having to play it cool

This week, Gen spent her weekend living her best beachside life while Erika got the best surprise of her life. What happened? You’re going to have to watch to find out because we're keeping that one under wraps. 👀Then we hit Eek Ick Eww, where a millennial dad took to social media to explain just how hard it is to be a modern father. And shockingly, his list of struggles sounds suspiciously familiar to everything women have been doing since the dawn of time. The bar remains underground.Workplace Rage Therapy takes us to Philly, where a bus driver listens to his passengers and decides to take on a massive pothole. The result? A city bus stuck in the middle of the road. Sometimes customer service means knowing when to say, “Absolutely not,” and apparently sometimes it means driving directly into the problem. Then Erika enters a full-blown Pop Culture Spiral over August's marketing disasters, where the marketing bros were apparently feeling particularly confident. The LoveSac social media couch situation, those Tart influencer boxes, and Target's latest Halloween costume disaster all prove that sometimes the group chat should be allowed to review the campaign before it goes live.Meanwhile, Gen brings the chaos to Relationship Chaos with a lottery winner who used his newfound wealth to hire a marching band to follow his ex around. Because apparently winning the lottery unlocks a very specific kind of pettiness. And finally, the ladies debut another Finger of the Week. Gen has officially had ENOUGH of the Texas heat and is ready for those wonderfully “chilly” 80-degree temperatures. Erika has a slightly more specific target: Elon Musk, for his latest attempt to get his hands on everyone's PHI while creating a website that mimics Vote.gov. 🖕🏼Another week. Another collection of decisions that probably should've been discussed with a lawyer first.

    The Gen & Erika Era

All aboard the Hotmess Express! I Hate It Here is BACK and the train has a new conductor. Welcome to the inaugural episode with Gen Glenn as Erika’s new co-host! The ladies kick things off by catching up on their summers. Erika traveled and caught a serious case of FIFA fever, while Gen spent hers defending her home from a raccoon that apparently decided her house was prime real estate. When she wasn’t battling wildlife, Gen was escaping the Texas heat the only sensible way possible: hiding in an air-conditioned movie theater with a summer blockbuster. Then things got significantly more unhinged. For Eek Ick Eww, Gen came armed with a story about a naked DoorDash delivery man. Yes, you read that correctly. Straight to jail. Erika then played a video of a man having a full-blown tantrum after being served divorce papers. Also straight to jail. We don't make the rules. The Dildo of Consequence was serving road rage, bad decisions and the kind of karma that makes you want to grab some popcorn and watch from a safe distance. Meanwhile, Relationship Chaos brought us the story of a ghosting virgin, which is one of those phrases that raises far more questions than it answers. You're going to have to tune in for that one. And just when you thought the Hotmess Express had reached maximum velocity, the ladies debuted a brand-new segment where they give a giant middle finger to whatever deserves it. This week, Erika and Gen had PLENTY to say and absolutely zero intention of holding back. 🖕🏼 New co-host. New era. Same questionable life choices. Welcome to I Hate It Here, Gen. We have officially handed you the keys. God help us all. 🚂💨
