    I've Got A Big Problem

    The boys are back for Episode 80, though one OG is missing this week as Pat couldn’t make it. Thankfully, super sub Mike Paston steps in once again to fill the seat. The hosts kick things off with their Random Questions of the Day, where the topic is things they’ve done once but would never do again, and Paston quickly delivers an absolute nightmare story about parasailing.  From there, the opening segment takes a different turn than usual. Normally the boys love to rant and complain, but this week they focus on happy thoughts, and the hosts show their softer side. Yep, today they share the small things in life that make them smile, including being on college campuses, the first snowfall of the year, sitting by a firepit, and several other simple joys. Very kumbaya of them. Next up is Hot Takes, where Paston sounds off about unruly fans at sporting events, and Bill feels terrible for Sugar Shane Lowry after his brutal collapse at the Cognizant Classic. The Sandman also sparks an interesting conversation when he complains about why MLB teams don’t call up top prospects sooner. Then Bierman shows a recent all-time rant from a college basketball coach and asks whether those types of meltdowns actually work to get teams back on track. Then it’s time for Stone Cold Locks, where each host gives three picks to finish in the top 10 at this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. The episode wraps up with a hoops-themed Top 5, where they each rank their favorite college basketball players of all time with one big twist. None of the players can be in, or headed to, the Naismith Hall of Fame. That means these are legendary college players who didn’t necessarily have the same impact at the pro level. Some all-time names get thrown around, including Greg Oden, Larry Johnson, David West, and many more as the guys get fired up for March Madness. Even without Pat, the boys power through and crank out another classic. Give it a listen and try to hold the applause until the end.

    The Dregs of Society

    The boys are back and kick things off with their Random Questions of the Day, which quickly turns into a spirited debate about whether Sky Club and lounge access at airports is actually worth it.  From there, it’s all about looking back on this year’s Olympics. The guys share their favorite events, moments, and memories, along with a few things that irritated them, including several events they say must be removed. They also talk about future Olympics and whether attending one is on the bucket list. And of course, there’s a deep dive into both the U.S. men’s and women’s hockey gold medal wins. Next up is Be My Guess, where Pat continues to battle through the sports trivia segment while Bill once again impresses with a strong showing. This week’s theme is all about MLB as we gear up for Opening Day. Then it’s on to Hot Takes. Jacob Bridgeman gets plenty of love for last week’s Genesis win, the weekend’s loaded college hoops slate gets some attention, including Arizona-Houston and Michigan-Duke, and there’s even an argument that Dusty May deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Curt Cignetti for what he’s doing with Michigan. Bierman also delivers a rant on the MAC’s recent expansion news and is clearly not a fan of the new addition. The guys then roll into Stone Cold Locks, giving out three golf picks each for this week’s Cognizant Classic. And you may want to listen closely to this one as the boys have been on somewhat of a heater recently. And finally, they wrap it up with a fun Top 5 honoring their favorite “older” characters in entertainment history, where iconic ones like Frank Drebin, Doc Brown, Yoda, and plenty of other oldies but goodies make the list.     The guys open this week by diving into conspiracy theories, sparked by the latest chatter that Super Bowl LX may have been predetermined by the NFL. After quickly debunking that one, they run through a list of famous conspiracies they’d love to know the truth about, from JFK to the 1985 NBA Draft Lottery and plenty more that range from plausible to completely ridiculous. Then it’s time for Be My Guess, where Bill and Pat try to name the 10 college football programs that have produced the most NFL touchdowns. The results aren’t great, but you do get a very solid Jimmy Stewart impression during this segment, so there’s that. Hot Takes follows with a heavy Olympic theme. The guys hit ski jumping, biathlon, the story of the oldest U.S. Winter Olympian ever, and yes, Bierman brings his Olympic sex-related story of the week to the table. There’s also a tribute to Robert Duvall, some James Bond love, and a discussion about a college football player recently granted a ninth year of eligibility. Then it’s Stone Cold Locks, where each host gives three picks to finish Top 10 at this week’s Genesis Invitational. After a strong showing last week, you may want to listen closely and pad those wallets. They close with a fun sports Top 5, inspired by the news that Mike Ditka’s Super Bowl sweater vest recently sold for $183K. The guys share their Top 5 favorite sports memorabilia/historical sports items, including some creative ones like George Brett’s pine tar bat, Evander Holyfield’s earlobe, and a bag of Marshawn Lynch Skittles. From there, the guys deliver a full Super Bowl recap, breaking it down into four key areas: the game itself and what stood out, the betting angle and how they performed (spoiler alert: they did very well), the best and worst commercials, and their thoughts on the Bad Bunny halftime show, where opinions were quite divided. Next up is an Olympic edition of Be My Guess, as Bierman challenges the crew to determine whether certain Olympic events he mentions are real or made up. Surprisingly, the guys hold their own. Hot Takes follows, featuring Hideki’s collapse at the Waste Management, another classic in the UNC-Duke rivalry, the case for curling as must-watch Olympic television, and a somewhat steamy segment where Bierman can’t help himself, diving into a sex-related story and the controversy surrounding beds in the Olympic Village. From there, in honor of Groundhog Day, Bierman gives a quick history lesson on the holiday before turning it into a fun draft-style contest. He lays out 12 iconic events like the Running of the Bulls, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the NFL Draft, Mardi Gras, and more. Pat and Bill then have to draft the events in the order they would most want to attend, which leads to plenty of debate and strong disagreements across the board.
