Episode #106-Galatians:Paul’s Not Sugarcoating This One! Part 3

Well, ladies, we’ve made it to the final two chapters of Galatians, and apparently Paul wasn’t finished stepping on toes! This week, Cassandra, Brooke, April, and Marie are back around the table, Bibles open, opinions ready, and absolutely no guarantee that we’re going to stay on topic! We’re diving into Galatians chapters 5 and 6, where Paul tackles Christian freedom, walking by the Spirit, the works of the flesh, and the fruit of the Spirit. And you already know April isn’t letting us get through a discussion about fruit without bringing a little gardening wisdom to the table! We’re talking about what it really means to live out our faith, why freedom in Christ isn’t a free pass to sin, and how easy it is to point out somebody else’s rotten fruit while ignoring what’s growing in our own backyard! And just when we think Paul might lighten up, he comes swinging with pride, hypocrisy, carrying one another’s burdens, and that little reminder that we reap what we sow! We’re sharing our thoughts, asking questions, admitting where we struggle, and probably chasing a rabbit or two along the way. We’re four ordinary women who love Jesus, love His Word, and aren’t afraid to laugh at ourselves while we’re learning. We don’t have all the answers, we occasionally get our words tangled, and sometimes our conversations take a turn nobody saw coming! So grab your Bible, pull up a chair, and join us for another round of laughter, honest discussion, and biblical truth that might just step on all ten of your toes. Because Paul isn’t sugarcoating this one, and apparently neither are we!

Episode #105-Galatians:Paul’s Not Sugarcoating This One! Part 2

In this episode of The Bible Thumpers Podcast, we’re diving back into the book of Galatians, covering chapters 3 and 4, and Paul is definitely NOT holding back! He’s calling out the Galatians for allowing false teachers to lead them away from the truth of the gospel. They had received the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ, yet they were being convinced that following the Mosaic Law was necessary for salvation. Paul makes it clear that salvation has never been something we could earn through good works, religious traditions, or following a list of rules. We’re digging into God’s promise to Abraham, the true purpose of the Law, the difference between faith and works, and why Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of God’s promises. But Paul doesn’t stop there! In chapter 4, he reminds believers of something incredible: through faith in Jesus Christ, we are no longer slaves but children of God and heirs to His promises! We’re talking about what it means to be adopted into God’s family, the freedom we have in Christ, the dangers of false doctrine, and why growing in our faith and becoming more like Jesus matters. We’ll also discuss how easily human traditions and expectations can get mixed into the gospel and why it’s so important to study Scripture for ourselves. So grab your Bible and join Brooke, Cassandra, April, and Marie as we continue working through Galatians, asking questions, learning together, and reminding ourselves that salvation isn’t about what we can do to earn God’s grace, but what Jesus Christ has already done for us!
