    This week on the Bruin Pod, we’re joined by none other than Jayden Fox, our explosive, electric, human highlight reel of a running back who continues to carve his place among the all-time greats to wear a Bruin uniform. Fresh off a monster performance on Saturday that helped punch Creek’s ticket to the state semifinals vs. rival Valor Christian, Jayden sits down with us for an awesome conversation. We dive into his journey at Creek, the incredible bond this senior class shares, and what it means to leave a real legacy on this program and community. Jayden talks about balancing his mellow, humble personality with his all-business, all-gas approach on the field. And since it’s Thanksgiving week, we get into all the fun stuff too, favorite dishes, traditions, what it’s like to practice on Thanksgiving Day, and the things he’s most grateful for as this team continues its championship pursuit.     In Episode 4, we sit down with two of the most electric forces behind Cherry Creek's spirit this year, senior Layne Mills and junior Mike Wehrle. Along with fellow manager Channing Walter, these two went all in as managers of the Field Hockey team this season, taking their roles to another level and becoming an integral part of the championship run. Layne and Mike talk about what it meant to support the team daily, the behind-the-scenes responsibilities no one sees, and how their energy came alive on the biggest stage, especially during the second half of the state title game where their sideline hype became a secret weapon. Beyond field hockey, both are massive drivers of school spirit. They’re fixtures in the student section, spirit leaders who’ve helped elevate the atmosphere at Creek this fall. Their versatility is unreal, Layne just committed to play Division I lacrosse at Utah, and Mike is a varsity distance runner on the track team and serves as Student Body Activities Coordinator. This episode is pure fun, great stories, great energy, and two Bruins who give everything they’ve got to Bruin Nation in every way possible. Tune in and get fired up. Weiss and Knoeckel also catch up about the end of the first quarter, fall break plans to “unlax,” and Weiss’s attempt to get Knoeckel to weigh in on the new Taylor Swift album. Principal Silva shares what he's most proud of here at Creek, what inspired his journey into education, and his path to becoming a principal. With 16 years of leadership experience, he opens up about how the Creek community continues to inspire him—not only as an educator but also as a parent. We also sprinkle in some holiday cheer as we wrap up the semester. As always, Weiss kicks things off with Knoeckel, catching up on big news for his beloved UNC Tar Heels—this time, surprisingly about their football program. Knoeckel’s shoulder is continuing to improve, though Weiss might’ve momentarily forgotten and caused him a bit of pain. The banter is still in full swing as they set the stage for a great conversation with Principal Silva. It's a fun, insightful, and festive send-off to 2024. Don’t miss it!
