    Conversation with Dmytro Grynov: (Dis)connect

In a new episode of our podcast - House of Klajn sessions, we present you a conversation with Dmytro Grynov. He is a Ukrainian dance artist currently based in Berlin, Germany and works in the field of contemporary dance, performing arts, cinematography, pedagogy and choreography. (Dis)connect is a solo performance about climate change and humanity’s future. It follows the protagonist’s internal struggle as he seeks answers to the question, “What went wrong?” Through memories and re-enactments, he confronts the choice between acknowledging the danger or staying blind to it. The piece depicts his journey to accept reality, coping with current challenges, and deciding if he will find hope or be overwhelmed by his emotions. Dmytro was a part of the One-To-One Project. He adapted and developed his piece during the residency in Klanjec in September 2024 and presented his work in Keha Festival both for the festival audience in Valve, Oulu but also in the care centre. 3. Conversation with Lena Giuliano: Writing On Someone's Grave

Conversation with Lena Giuliano: Writing On Someone's Grave

In the second episode of our One-To-One Podcast we are talking with Lena Giuliano, an artist from Brasil/Argentina who was a part of One-To-One Project. Lena's statement about the piece: The artwork “Writing On Someone's Grave” is part of a personal research project in which I try to investigate the intersections between writing and performativity on stage, in academia and in words. What is it like to write on stage? How do you find the desired writing in the scene? The process of creation also involves the psychophysical procedures for entering the scene and preparing the body and mind for writing. Not only activating the mind, but also understanding how else the body should be worked with in this context.  The work was conceived in São Paulo, Brazil, and developed during House of Klajn artistic residency in Klanjec, Croatia.  With this interest in exploring language, I thought of a theme that could reach all people, of all nationalities, ages and genders. Of course, the subject of death came up. There are some people who need to think more about death, others who need to think less. But somehow, everyone thinks about it often. Death is the mystery, the unknown, the fear. This podcast is a part of One-to-One Art project, which has been awarded Creative Europe funding for the period 1 November 2023 – 30 April 2026.
