Come From Away - "Spill the Tea" Theatre Review

✈️ THE END OF AN ERA TJ & Sam spill the tea on Come From Away, the final ever production from Pangdemonium Theatre Company. Staged 25 years after the events of 9/11, Come From Away tells the extraordinary true story of the people of Gander, Newfoundland, who welcomed thousands of stranded passengers when 38 planes were diverted following the closure of US airspace. For Pangdemonium’s final production, Timothy Koh directs a musical for the first time, with a version that moves away from some of the staging and design choices audiences may know from other productions. For TJ, this one was especially personal. Come From Away is one of his favourite musicals, but some of the new staging choices left him struggling to connect with moments he normally loves. Sam had a very different response, feeling the weight of the real history behind the show and becoming completely absorbed in the storytelling. So did this new interpretation work? And after more than 15 years of Singapore theatre, did Pangdemonium go out on a high? 🎭 Come From Away 📍 Victoria Theatre, Singapore 📅 11–27 September 2026 🎬 Review recorded after the 8pm performance on 12 September 2026 Watch the full video review on YouTube and follow A Spoonful of Theatre for more Singapore theatre reviews, recommendations and interviews. #ComeFromAway #Pangdemonium #SingaporeTheatre #TheatreReview #MusicalTheatre #SpillTheTea #ASpoonfulOfTheatre
