Sept 27, 2026 "Calling the First Disciples"

What are you seeking right now—answers, hope, direction, maybe just a reason to keep taking the next step? Here at Cornerstone Church, this message brings us to one of Jesus’ first invitations in John’s Gospel: come and see. As Pastor Dawn walks through the calling of Jesus’ first followers, we’re reminded that he doesn’t begin with polished people or perfect faith. He meets ordinary people, sees them fully, and invites them to follow. If you’ve ever wondered whether you have to have it all figured out before coming to Jesus, this message is for you. There’s grace here, honesty here, and a simple invitation that still speaks today: come closer, see who he is, and discover that he already sees you. Sept 20, 2026 "More Than We Can Imagine" John 1:1-18

What if the deepest need in your life isn’t more strength, more clarity, or more control—but learning to abide? This sermon invites us into that very question as we open John 1 and look at who Jesus really is: fully God, fully human, the source of life, light, and grace. You’ll hear how John points us beyond a distant idea of God to the living Word who came near, and why that changes not just what we believe, but how we live. If you’ve ever felt pulled in a dozen directions or wondered where true purpose is found, this message will gently bring you back to the One who says, " Remain in me". Sept 13, 2026 "You Will Find Me Bigger" John 1:1-5;14-18; 35-39a

What if the Jesus you’ve known in outline is far bigger than you’ve imagined in reality? At Cornerstone Church, this message opens the Gospel of John with a simple but life-shaping question: not just what did Jesus do, but who is he? As this new series, John: Encounters with the Messiah, begins, you’ll hear an invitation to see Jesus as the living Son of God, the promised Messiah, and the one who offers real life to those who trust him. There’s a tenderness and honesty in this message too—a reminder that faith can include both belief and the prayer, “help my unbelief.” If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to truly encounter Jesus, this conversation will draw you in. Sept 6, 2026 "A Promise Bigger Than David" 2 Samuel 7

When life feels uncertain, where do you anchor your hope? This message turns our attention to a God whose promises outlast sorrow, disappointment, and even death itself. As Pastor Michael reflects on David’s story in 2 Samuel 7, we’re reminded that even when God says no, his faithfulness does not fail. What David couldn’t see in full was that God was building something far greater than a temple—a promise that would lead to Jesus, the perfect King. If you’ve ever wrestled with grief, unanswered prayer, or the fragile nature of life, this conversation will meet you there with honesty and hope. August 30, 2026 "Running & Finishing Well" 1 Chronicles 28-29

Praise isn’t just for the easy moments. It’s for the valley, the mountain, the questions, and the victories. In this sermon, we’re invited into a deeper kind of worship—one that doesn’t depend on how we feel, but on who God is. As the message unfolds, we’re reminded that following Jesus is a lifelong race marked by trust, humility, generosity, and steady faith. And through it all, the thread running underneath is this: a life well lived points beyond itself to Christ. If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to keep going, to keep praising, and to finish well, this conversation will meet you there. August 23, 2026 "David: Failing While Following" 2 Samuel 11 - 12

When sin feels heavier than we know how to carry, grace can sound almost too good to be true. But this message takes us right into that tension—through David’s failure, his honest confession, and the mercy of God that meets him there. In this week's sermon, you’ll hear a powerful reminder that no sin is beyond God’s forgiveness, and no heart is too far gone for his restoring grace. As Jerry walks us through Psalm 51, this sermon invites us to stop hiding, to tell the truth before God, and to discover the freedom that comes with repentance, humility, and being made new. If you’ve ever wondered whether grace really reaches into the messiest parts of your story, stay with us. August 16, 2026 "God With Us" 2 Samuel 6:12-23

What happens when worship stops being a routine and becomes a response to the presence of God? In this message, Rick takes us into one of Scripture’s most vivid scenes: David dancing before the Lord as the ark enters Jerusalem. It’s a picture of joy, reverence, humility, and wholehearted devotion all at once. And through David’s story, we’re invited to ask what it really means to worship—not just with our words, but with our whole lives. More than that, this message points us beyond David to Jesus, the One who brings us near to God with confidence and awe. If you’ve ever felt distracted, reserved, or unsure what true worship looks like, this conversation will gently call you back to the wonder of God’s presence. August 2, 2026 "The Foolishness of Pride" 1 Samual 25

Pride can make even a faithful person lose their way in a moment. In this sermon, we step into the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail—and see how quickly anger can take over, how wisdom can interrupt destruction, and how God’s grace meets us when we’re about to become our worst selves. As Felix Chan opens 1 Samuel 25, this message invites us to look honestly at our own hearts: where pride is unchecked, where we’re tempted to pick up the sword, and where God may be sending a voice of truth to pull us back. It’s a timely word about humility, restraint, and the kind of grace that not only forgives us, but saves us from ourselves.
