    July 26, 2026 "Integrity Under Pressure" 1 Samuel 24

What does it truly mean to be a person of integrity—and do you actually live that way when no one is watching? Pastor Len opened Scripture to reveal the remarkable contrast between King Saul, who deflected blame onto others, and David, a flawed but honest man who owned his failures and kept his promises even when it cost him dearly. Despite having Saul completely at his mercy in a cave, David refused to seize the throne ahead of God's timing—because what he believed in private governed what he did in public. Pastor Len offered a piercing definition: integrity isn't a polished performance; it's the absence of a mask. It's the same person in the shadows as in the spotlight. He challenged the congregation with a three-legged stool of leadership—competence, character, and compassion—reminding us that skills can be taught, but integrity must be cultivated from the inside out, and it cannot be sustained without the power of the Holy Spirit. The invitation is this: don't just absorb good information—act on it. Seek out one relationship where you are being discipled, and one where you are discipling someone else. Your integrity journey starts now, in community, today. If you are interested in joining our service in-person, you can visit us each Sunday at 9:30am CST. July 19, 2026 "Running on Empty" 1 Samuel 21

What do you do when fear is so loud it drowns out everything you know to be true? Pastor Dawn opens her message by walking us through one of David's most vulnerable moments: a man anointed by God, fleeing for his life, lying to a priest, and eventually drooling on himself to fake insanity. Yet even through this, God's grace refuses to quit. Pastor Dawn draws out a striking truth: David ran toward God's presence first, but fear quickly hijacked his instincts, replacing faith with frantic self-reliance by hoarding weapons, spinning lies, and trusting his own plans over God's provision. With honest, personal vulnerability, Pastor Dawn reminds us that our "swords"—our backup plans, our need for control, our carefully curated appearances—become dangerous the moment they replace God as our source of safety. Yet the story doesn't end in humiliation. Jesus himself points back to this very moment, declaring that relationship with God always trumps rigid ritual, and that He is the bread of presence, the Good Shepherd, the Lord of our fears. As a church community, we are called to gather around one another, speak truth into each other's panic, and taste the goodness of a God who pursues us even through our worst failures. Run to Him—He is already running toward you. If you are interested in joining our service in-person, you can visit us each Sunday at 9:30am CST. Have you ever found yourself questioning whether your life truly reflects the calling you’ve received as a follower of Christ? If so, this sermon is for you!  In this sermon, Pastor Michael takes us on a journey through what it means to walk in the light of our new identity in Jesus. He emphasizes that our transformed lives should shine brightly in a world filled with darkness and confusion. As we strive to live out God's purposes, we’re reminded that our actions must not only shift away from sinful behaviours but also embody Christ-like love and unity within our community. What does it mean to lead a life that reflects God’s goodness? How do we move beyond mere behaviour modification to embrace a profound, authentic relationship with our Creator? Pastor Michael’s insights will encourage you to examine your heart and the way you engage with others, whether within your family, your church, or the broader world. So, join us as we unpack the essential principles of walking worthy of our calling, allowing God’s Spirit to renew our minds, and embodying love in our daily lives.
