S&P 500 futures fell as much as 1.4%. Nasdaq futures fell 2.4%. Futures are contracts that trade overnight and signal where stocks may open. By the closing bell, the S&P 500 was up 1.6%. The Dow jumped about 1,570 points, or 3%. That's its best day since April 2025. Same election. Opposite market reaction. So what changed overnight? President Trump said he'd accept the results.
