    Huntingdon Train Attack: 'Everyone run, run.'

    The court hears from passengers who tried to protect others and who were attacked by 33-year-old Anthony Williams on the train that was heading to London Kings Cross on Saturday 1st November 2025. One passenger told the court he remembers there was a lot of noise and someone burst through the carriage door saying: “Everyone run, run ....there’s a guy with a knife, a guy stabbing people.” BBC Cambridgeshire’s Phil Shepka and BBC Journalist Luke de Costa bring you updates of what the jury hears as the trial at Cambridge Crown Court unfolds. Williams denies 14 counts of attempted murder. 10 counts of attempted murder during an attack on a train that was forced to make an emergency stop in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. One count of attempted murder over an incident at a metro station in London on the same day and three counts of attempted murder the day before in Peterborough. The trial has been told that whether Williams carried out the attacks is not in question, but jurors must consider whether he intended to kill those individuals.     Stockport Drug and Rape: Could it get any worse?

    In this episode we hear about the continuation of the opening statement from the prosecution on days two and three of the trial. In summary, a husband, in his 60s, from Stockport in Greater Manchester has pleaded guilty to a total of 62 charges against his wife, including raping his wife and sharing intimate images of her without her consent. He will now not be part of the trial. We are not reporting the husband's name to protect his wife’s legal right to lifetime anonymity Originally 13 other men were charged with serious sexual offences against the same victim. Four of those men have pleaded guilty to sexually abusing her. Keith Fotheringham, who’s 59 and from Dundee in Scotland - admitted his guilt earlier this year. Just ahead of the trial starting, Karl Lindsey, 56, from Somerset admitted two offences relating to the drugging and raping of the victim by her husband and other men. Previously 38 year old Sean Peers from Stockport changed his plea, now pleading guilty to assault by penetration and 74 year old Graham Brougham, from Northwich in Cheshire has changed his plea, now pleading guilty to rape. They will all be sentenced at a later date. The 9 remaining defendants all deny any wrong-doing. On days two and three of the trial Barrister Lousie Oakley KC, who is leading the prosecution case, continued the opening statements and detailed each of the defendant's alleged crimes.     BBC Journalist, Mat Trewern and BBC Radio Manchester Presenter, Michelle Dignan follow the trial, it’s been almost two months since the jury was first sworn in at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court. On day one of the trial Barrister Lousie Oakley KC, who is leading the prosecution case, began the opening statements and we hear about another defendant who has changed their plea to guilty.
