    SNES JRPG royalty comes barreling back to Beeps Bops and Beats as Chris brings us Secret of Mana, a 1994 action-RPG developed and published SquareSoft. Composed by Hiroki Kikuta, this beloved entry in the Mana series was the first to land in the US with its own moniker while enthralling a generation with the promise of high adventure. Ancient sorcerers, flying on dragons, finding legendary weapons, and saving the world from total annihilation. Everything one could ask for in a (mostly) child friend story supported by some of the most evocative and original music available on the SNES in its heyday. Spooky tunes, aggressive boss music, and music full of longing and hope. Really there's something in here for everyone. Developed, published, and composed by Thomas Happ, this side scrolling action adventure game takes the scientist Trace through a foreign alien world ruled by technology while piecing together what happened to the world you woke up in, and what piece you play in it all. The music ties heavily into the brooding industrial tech heavy setting with an unapologetically 80's vibe carrying us through it up.
