    Jeanie and James are skipping the long courtship and working backward from “I do”—but did NBC’s Newlyweds give us enough reason to RSVP for episode two? This week, we review the pilot starring real-life couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly. We talk old-school multicam energy, adjusting to a studio audience/laugh track again, their natural chemistry, Jamie Lee Curtis as the ex-wife who is very much still in the picture, and whether a later-in-life whirlwind marriage makes a familiar opposites-attract setup feel fresh.     EP 39 - Double the Covens, Half the Magic

    Two supernatural pilots entered The Bubble—and neither one exactly cast a spell. This week, Bianca and Wyetha attempt their first double pilot review with full-spoiler discussions of CBS’s Eternally Yours and Freeform’s Coven Academy. Eternally Yours gave us bland comedy, complicated vampire family dynamics, and one genuinely surprising ending. Bianca landed on Meh, while Wyetha gave it a Nay. Coven Academy made one thing very clear: we are not its target audience. That one earned a firm Nay from both of us. We’re talking vampire rules, rushed world-building, characters we struggled to care about, and why Eternally Yours earned slightly more patience—emphasis on slightly. Before the reviews, we discuss NBC changing Newlyweds showrunners shortly before its premiere and Kelsey Grammer’s potential return to NBC in the EMT drama Pops.     Silicon Valley has money, power, and plenty of questionable business practices—but Cupertino has two newly fired lawyers ready to represent the Davids. This week, Bianca is dancing through Jessie Ware’s Superbloom, while Wyetha has her eye on the French horror series Marianne. In TV news, the Fast & Furious family is expanding to Peacock, Fast 11 officially becomes Fast Forever, and Netflix’s new A Different World earns a second season. Then we make our opening arguments for CBS’s Cupertino. We’re talking parallel firings, greedy tech companies, an unexpectedly funny underdog law firm, Michael and Olivia’s natural chemistry, Christy’s endless connections, Papa Pope entering the courtroom, and one especially personal AI violation.     EP 37 - Too Many Badges, One Wild Ending: Line of Fire Pilot Review

    The Bubble’s Season 3 trials officially begin with NBC’s Line of Fire—a federal-family drama with enough agencies, titles, complicated relationships, and questionable decisions to make our heads spin. Bianca and Wyetha break down the crowded Hollingsworth family, one very messy Secret Service romance, television’s suspiciously-not-D.C. version of D.C., and an origami-bird conspiracy we are absolutely not spoiling. The pilot didn’t exactly light us up—until its final moments changed the temperature. Bianca says YAY; Wyetha remains NAY, even though they agree that ending was exciting. Did Line of Fire earn Episode 2, or is one strong cliffhanger not enough to save an otherwise forgettable pilot? Plus, our current obsessions include Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story and an unexpected return to Project Runway.
