55 | Taneeka: From 1 to 3 children after twins, peri/ postnatal depression, Positive Vaginal Birth, Induction Experience, SAHM Life & Traveling with Kids

Patty's we know you love a birth story, and Taneeka has kindly shared both her positive vaginal birth's- first with her son and then with her twin girls. This chat is so wholesome for mothers in all phases of life. Neek's talks on making the choice to be a full time SAHM after finding out she was pregnant with the girls. This  was a difficult decision, as returning to work after having her son was a 'mind break' ; the identity shift of not "working" for the first time was hard to navigate. Although we all know the hardest and most rewarding "job" in the world is being a Mum, we all feel the guilt of needing to be more. We open up on the jump from 1 to 2/3 kids, and the grief you feel for your first borns; being pulled in so many directions.  We chat the growth your heart feels at welcoming more children into your life, the special bonds between siblings, and how we need to lower the expectations on older siblings and remember they are little too. Neek’s speaks on feeling so anxious overwhelmed and mentally flat in her first pregnancy, and how taking time for herself- working out at the gym and listening to other women's stories,  made her feel less alone. Her pregnancy and birth with the girls was very healing for  her motherhood wound, we also touch on travelling with the children, and the amazing experience of caravan travel with her family. Please share this with any other twin mums,  pregnant or postpartum women. You are amazing.  Love Patty. xxx

54| Ashlee Mum of 4! 4 different fertility journey's, IVF, birth stories, HG, recoveries, laparoscopies, endometriosis, ulcerative colitis, post partum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, isolation, therapy, stay at home mum, hardest transitions, reflective co

Ep 54 is the widest chat yet, and we loved every minute of it. Join Chloe, Clare and Ashlee for a big, honest, funny (quite a few giggles!) and deeply heartfelt conversation that covers so many topics! Ashlee is a Mum of four, aged 35 (currently studying this year!) and has been with her husband since she was 17. She opens up about her full fertility journey, with each child conceived differently; natural conception, Clomid, IUI and IVF, all delivered with Dr Drew Moffrey from the Gold Coast. We talk through her birth stories, including two emergency and two planned C-sections, an attempted VBAC, and the realities of post-birth recovery. Ashlee shares her experience living with chronic illness, including late-discovered endometriosis with bowel involvement, multiple laparoscopies, ulcerative colitis, and hyperemesis gravidarum, aka extreme! pregnancy sickness. She speaks honestly about the toll it takes and how she managed it alongside Motherhood. We also dive into post-partum anxiety, extreme intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, the scenarios our brain can play out to us, and the role therapy played in her healing. Ashlee reflects on becoming a Mum for the first time, being the first in her friend group, the intense anxiety she did not recognise until later, and how she struggled to ever leave her babies, even with her husband. Add extreme sleep deprivation and a so-called “colic baby” (later discovered to have intolerances) and it is no wonder that transition from zero to one felt like the hardest of all. One of the most emotional parts of the episode is Ashlee sharing the incredibly nuanced and difficult decision to take frozen embryos out of storage, or as we lovingly call it, snow sleep. It’s a conversation filled with compassion and honesty that so many women will resonate with. Now feeling like much more of a relaxed Mum, Ashlee looks back wishing she could give her first-time mum self a big hug. She speaks about how much she loves her big, fun family, being a stay at home Mum for several years now, and how the journey has brought her and her husband even closer. This episode is a reminder that there is no such thing as perfect mothering.. nor should we pressure outselves to do it all! The sheets do not need washing every week, and if you end up cuddled in bed watching a Disney movie because your baby is not tired at 8pm, that is more than okay. Women feeling seen and heard is what this chat is all about. We loved this conversation. Ps, Ashlee you have been through so much, a warrior and amazing woman, lovingly supporting your big beautiful family! Love the Patty’s Xx

53| Mirinda: Satya.psychology; Matrescence, birth trauma, surrendering in motherhood, postpartum identity loss, mental load & burnout, self-care vs avoidance, toxic productivity, walk-and-talk therapy, emotional regulation, mind-body healing, grief, and

Episode 53 with amazing Mirinda from satya.psychology, a mum of toddler twins boys! psych- and trauma-informed yoga teacher, and walk-and-talk therapist.  This  conversation sits at the intersection of mental health, holistic wellbeing, and the very real mental load carried by modern mums. The invisible juggling. The constant thinking. The love and resentment, gratitude and grief—all existing at the same time. We unpack matrescence and birth trauma, the loss (and reshaping) of identity in postpartum, and what it truly means to surrender in motherhood while learning to be comfortable with discomfort. There’s a grounded look at self care—how to voice support, and the honest difference berween “I need a break” and “I need to numb out…avoidance, numbing and actually honouring what you need in that moment, This episode also explores toxic productivity, emotional regulation (why it’s not about staying calm but about learning to feel), and the powerful mind-body approach to therapy. We dive into why walking—side by side, in motion—can gently rewire the nervous system and create space for clarity, regulation, and healing. Also hey positive multi-talking with exercise, talking, fresh air, sunshine and getting the dog or baby for a walk too. A conversation that honours duality, holds space for grief, and reminds mums that multiple truths can coexist—and that you’re still a good person for feeling them all. We loved tbis multi-faceted chat and cannot wIt to book some walk and talk therapy with satya.psychology!  love patty xx

52| Kayla. VBAC birth, Nurturing the mother, planning postpartum and finding harmony of masculine v feminine energy.

Please welcome Kayla Ruston, former founder of The PCOS Bible and Motherhood Leaked podcast, now mum of two and womb wellness coach. Kayla empowers women to reconnect with and reclaim their feminine essence and transform their pain into power. Clare and Kayla have a very long friendship going back to gymnastics when they were 5 years old, living in a share house with first loves, and then entering into motherhood at the same time with our first-born sons. They bonded over tricky transitions into motherhood, loss of identity, and expectations as first-time mums versus the healing second postpartum. Clare and Kayla both suffered with postnatal anxiety with their first-borns, and they openly talk about how that manifested for each of them and the paths they took to manage this, whilst reflecting on how healthy second births and postpartum can be. Kayla wisely states the importance of nurturing the mother’s spark, as her light guides the path for the whole family unit. If we forget to feed the flame of the mother, then everyone is left in the dark. We approach how self-care manifests for us, how we reclaim a sense of self in postpartum, and that it is okay to want more than “just being mum.” Clare was able to help Kayla plan her VBAC birth for Ari, her second-born son, and we dive into the tricky mix of woo-woo spirituality, whilst also being comfortable with modern medicine, and how you can have a beautiful birth in a hospital setting. Kayla had to let go of “success” being a home birth with no interventions, when in fact we need to validate birth in all forms. So much of birth is about the strength of letting go, lowering expectations, and leaning into your intuition — all things important for postpartum. Kayla had a painful posterior labour and had to surrender many prior “ideals” for her birth. This chat is raw, honest, and healing on all accounts. The perfect reminder to soften and accept our feminine energy and let go of the fast-paced, task-driven, goal-setting masculine side of us. A touch of woo-woo spirituality, balanced with the realness of motherhood. Love,Patty x

50| Lauren's Positive pregnancy news! Miracles do happen, 1 year between podcast episode.

In this deeply personal follow-up episode, Chloe and Clare welcome back the beautiful Lauren — whose story of infertility, PCOS and hope first touched hearts in 2024.When we last heard from Lauren, she was courageously hitting pause on her fertility journey to focus on healing her body, mind and spirit. Today, she returns to share the incredible next chapter — how that pause led her to the right doctor, the right energy, and ultimately… her long-awaited positive pregnancy test. Lauren opens up about the power of slowing down, the impact of finding a female doctor who truly listened, and what she did differently in her third embryo transfer — from acupuncture and PRP therapy to emotional surrender and the gentle reminder that “the only thing in control is the embryo.” She shares the raw, real moments of early pregnancy — from the tears of seeing two lines for the first time, to the fear of a sudden bleed and the relief of learning about hematomas. Lauren also speaks vulnerably about navigating the emotional side of pregnancy after infertility: the hormonal rollercoaster, boundary-setting, mumma bear instincts, and the complex mix of gratitude and guilt that comes with finally being on the other side.Through it all, one thing shines — the unwavering love and support of her husband Craig, and the reminder that the right partner makes even the hardest seasons bearable.   This episode is a full-circle moment — from praying for a period to growing a miracle. Lauren’s story is a testament to hope, surrender, and the power of trusting that everything unfolds in its own divine timing. Whether you’re deep in the trenches of infertility, walking alongside someone who is, or simply believe in the quiet magic of never giving up — this one will move you, uplift you, provide hope to those who need, and remind you that healing often begins in the pause Love Party x
