Permission to Do Absolutely Nothing | Soulful Saturdays with Saylor

What if doing nothing isn't lazy... but necessary? Welcome back to Soulful Saturdays with Saylor, where we have real conversations about life, rest, self-worth, emotional wellness, and what it means to live a more glorious life.In this episode of our August theme, WHISPER: REST — Honoring Your Rhythms, Boundaries & Sacred Pauses, we're talking about something many women desperately need but struggle to give themselves:Permission to do absolutely nothing.Yep. Nothing. No laundry. No emails. No multitasking. No fixing everybody else's problems. No turning your "rest time" into another productivity project.Because let's be honest...How many times have you finally sat down to relax, only to start folding laundry while watching television?Or answering emails while eating dinner?Or scrolling your phone while mentally making tomorrow's to-do list?Girl... That's not rest. That's multitasking wearing pajamas. In this episode, we're getting real about why so many women struggle to rest without guilt—and the sneaky beliefs we've been taught:✨ "If I'm not productive, I'm wasting time."✨ "If I put myself first, I'm selfish."✨ "My worth is measured by what I accomplish."We're unpacking the pressure to always be doing, achieving, helping, fixing, and taking care of everyone else. And then we're making the shift. Because rest isn't empty.Rest creates space. And space creates room for clarity, creativity, gratitude, presence, peace, and emotional healing. We'll talk about what real rest can actually look like:Drinking your coffee slowlySitting outsideReading simply because you enjoy itWatching the cloudsTaking a walk without turning it into a workoutListening to musicSitting quietly without needing to accomplish anythingBecause sometimes the most important thing you can do...Is stop doing. And maybe your soul has been whispering the same thing all along:Slow down.Be here.Listen.You don't have to do more.So grab your coffee, pull up a chair, and come have a little Soulful Saturday conversation with me.Because girlfriend...You don't have to earn your rest. You are allowed to enjoy the life you're working so hard to create.💗 If this episode speaks to you, share it with a woman who needs permission to put her feet up, breathe, and simply BE.Soulful Saturdays with Saylor is about helping women slow down, reconnect with themselves, honor their rhythms, and create a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.Subscribe for more conversations about women's emotional wellness, self-care, mental wellness, spiritual wellness, boundaries, self-worth, rest, personal growth, and living gloriously.#saylorsjourney #youmatter #womensupportingwomen #cindysaylor#SoulfulSaturdaysWithSaylor #PermissionToRest #RestWithoutGuilt #WomenAndRest #SelfCareForWomen #EmotionalWellness #MentalWellness #SpiritualWellness #BurnoutRecovery #SlowDown #WomenLivingGloriously #SaylorSass

The Power of the Sacred Pause | Stop Reacting & Start Responding

Have you ever sent a text… and immediately thought… “Ohhhhhh…I probably shouldn't have sent that.” Yep. Me too. Welcome back to Soulful Saturdays with Saylor, where we're sitting down together for a little coffee, a little soul talk, a little laughter—and hopefully a few moments that make you say, “Okay, Saylor…you got me.” Today we're talking about something incredibly simple… but incredibly powerful. The Sacred Pause. Because how many times do we respond when we're under pressure instead of responding from peace? We say yes because we don't want to disappoint someone. We answer the text because we're angry. We jump in to fix somebody else's crisis because we're so used to being the one who handles everything. And then later we're sitting there thinking… “Why did I say yes?” Or… “Why did I send that?” Or my personal favorite… “Who authorized me to take this on?” Friend, here's what we're going to explore today: What happens when you give yourself permission to pause before you respond. Because that tiny space between emotion and action can change everything. It can help you make better decisions. Protect your peace. Set healthier boundaries. Reduce regret. Build confidence. And reconnect with what you actually want instead of automatically responding to what everyone else needs. We're going to talk about three very real-life moments when the Sacred Pause can change the game: Before you say YES. Before you send THAT text. And before you rush in to fix everyone else's problems. Because let's be honest… some of us have become emotional first responders. Someone has a crisis? We're there. Someone needs something? We're on it. Someone's having a bad day? Cape on. Superhero mode activated. But here's the question we're going to sit with today: “Is this mine to carry?” Because not every fire needs you showing up with a hose. Sometimes… it's just somebody burning toast. So grab your coffee, settle in, and let's have this conversation like we're sitting across from each other at our favorite coffee shop. Because this isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming present. It's not about reacting faster. It's about responding wiser. And sometimes… the most powerful thing you can do… is take one breath… and pause. Welcome to Soulful Saturdays with Saylor. Let's get into it. #saylorsjourney #soulfulsaturdayswithaylor #youmatter #womensupportingwomen

    Rest Isn't Lazy... It's Leadership

What if the most productive thing you could do today... is rest?Friend, we've been sold a lie.Somewhere along the way, our worth became tied to our workload. We started wearing exhaustion like a badge of honor, believing that being busy meant being successful. We convinced ourselves that if we just finished one more task, answered one more email, or took care of one more person, then we could finally rest. But what if rest isn't something you earn? What if rest is one of the greatest acts of leadership, self-care, and self-respect you'll ever practice? In this heartfelt and humorous episode of Soulful Saturdays with Saylor, we're pulling up a chair, pouring a cup of coffee, and having an honest conversation about hustle culture, burnout, guilt, and why so many women struggle to give themselves permission to pause. We'll laugh about the laundry that seems to call our name, the endless to-do lists that somehow multiply overnight, and the little voice that whispers, "You should be doing something." But we'll also uncover a deeper truth: rest isn't quitting...it's recovering. In this episode, you'll discover:✨ Why hustle culture keeps so many women emotionally and mentally exhausted.✨ How guilt keeps us trapped in constant productivity.✨ Why rest is essential for emotional wellness, mental clarity, and spiritual growth.✨ How honoring your natural rhythms leads to greater creativity, patience, joy, and resilience.✨ Practical ways to begin embracing rest without guilt.Whether you're leading a family, building a business, caring for others, or simply trying to find your way through a busy season of life, this conversation is a gentle reminder that you don't have to earn your worth—you already have it.So grab your favorite cup of coffee, take a deep breath, and join me for one of our most meaningful conversations yet.Because around here, we're not just surviving...We're living gloriously.✨ If this episode encouraged you, be sure to follow the podcast, leave a review, and share it with a friend who needs permission to rest.
