Hormones & Mental Health: Understanding Perimenopause and Beyond with Dr. Suzanne Fenske

Listen to Dr. Allie Sharma in conversation with Dr. Suzanne Fenske as they speak about our hormonal fluctuations across the lifespan from menarche, e.g. your first period, to menopause and how it impacts mental health. We take a deep dive into the science, the symptoms, and how to treat and manage through perimenopause and in general, the menopausal transition. Dr. Suzanne Silverman Fenske, MD, FACOG, ABOIM, NCMP is a double board-certified gynecologist and integrative medicine physician, and founder of TārāMD, an innovative New York City-based integrative and functional gynecology practice located on the Upper East Side, Manhattan, in New York City.  What is special about Tara MD is that she uses advanced lab testing and hormone testing to gain a complete idea of the factors contributing to or causing diseases and then uses the information to develop comprehensive, personalized care plans. TārāMD takes an integrative and functional approach with every patient, using top evidence-based medical treatments and surgeries alongside lifestyle medicine and alternative care such as supplements and botanicals. Dr. Fenske applies her broad medical expertise to treat a range of complex conditions, including perimenopause, menopause, hormone imbalances, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), using a functional approach.  Dr. Suzanne Fenske is passionate about empowering women to take charge of their health. She provides unparalleled integrative care for women’s health, including gynecological conditions and hormone therapy in perimenopause and menopause.  Dr. Fenske’s passion arises from her personal experiences with hormones and health. The IBS resolved when she stopped taking the pill, leading to a fascination with the interconnectedness of the body and how hormones respond to women’s environment, food, and stress.   Connect with Dr. Allie Sharma Instagram @alliesharmamdFacebook @dralliesharmaWebsite: https://www.sonalisharmamd.com/Connect with Dr. Suzanne Fenske and TārāMD Linked In http://linkedin.com/in/suzanne-fenske-md-integrative-functional-gynecologist-taramdInstagram @taramd4women Website  https://www.taramd.com/Connect with Being Health Instagram @beinghealthcareWebsite: https://www.beinghealth.co/ ----------------- MEDIA & PRESS For media or press inquiries, contact press@beinghealth.co.----------------- EPISODE CREDITS Produced by Andrea Castagno and Jack InsleeMixed by Jack Inslee----------------- DISCLAIMER Please note that the contents of the Alluminate Podcast are for informational purposes only.  The content is not intended to be a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
