    The podcast “Madame Talk Europe” explores the rap scene in six European countries, focusing on the lack of visibility of female and queer artists in the Polish music scene. Two women are interviewed: Gunics, a female rapper and music producer, and Anna Plascott, a music industry consultant. They share their experiences with sexism and the difficulties faced by women in Polish rap, including lack of opportunities, lack of support from record labels, and the patriarchal environment of the industry. She concludes that a change is needed in the way women’s music is promoted and supported, and suggests that academic research on the topic would be a good starting point for bringing about positive change.
