I was raised by parents who went through Growing Kids God’s Way and Preparation for Parenting. I’m one of six children, and I am truly a product of the wisdom and biblical principles my parents learned through these programs. In a world that often rejects Jesus, order, and truth—and instead embraces chaos—these teachings gave my parents guidance, direction, and a clear framework for raising us.
They learned how to create routine and predictability in our home, to be countercultural and “not of this world,” as scripture teaches and to raise their children not only as a blessing to them but also as a blessing to others. They also learned practical tools like sleep training and consistent discipline in all areas of life.
Now, at 31 years old with a 6‑month‑old baby of my own, I’ve walked through Preparation for Parenting myself. Our baby began sleeping through the night at 7 weeks, and my husband and I are now going through Babyhood Transitions. That’s how I found out about this podcast, and I’m so thrilled to once again hear from Gary, Anne Marie, Julie, and Rich.
Since you asked for topic suggestions, I’d love to hear more about starting solids—specifically thoughts on baby‑led feeding versus parent‑directed feeding. Another idea would be to feature parent testimonials on the podcast: couples who have raised children using these principles, sharing their experiences and insights.
This program and this teaching is so needed in today’s world, where so many parents simply follow whatever advice they see on social media or from influencers or just do what everyone else is doing mainstream. There is nothing else like this—nothing that offers training with a biblical heart behind every principle. It is God’s design and perfect order, and the Ezzos and Youngs have built everything on that foundation. It is life-changing! Thank you for creating this podcast!
