Gillian Barber Bio - Gillian currently teaches acting, musical theatre and business in the Theatre programs at Capilano University. She has been acting and directing in Canada since moving from the UK, and has performed in more than 50 shows with the Arts Club, Vancouver Playhouse, Tamahnous Theatre, Vancouver Fringe, Presentation House, Centennial Theatre (Vancouver), Bastion Theatre (Victoria), Manitoba Theatre Centre (Winnipeg), The Citadel (Edmonton), Lunchbox Theatre and Alberta Theatre Projects (Calgary), The National Arts Centre (Ottawa), and has toured the UK with several Repertory companies. Most recently, Gillian performed in Steel Magnolias with an CAEA collective at The Nest on Granville Island. She recently directed Nunsense, the Musical for Boone Dog Productions at the Metro Theatre. She has just finished recurring roles on The Last of Us, Under the Banner of Heaven, Maid, Supernatural, Chesapeake Shores, The Romeo Section, Witches of the East End and Man in the High Castle. Film credits include: Hamlet, Patterson’s Wager, 2012, Hot Rod, Status Update, The Vehicle, On the Sixth Day, Double Jeopardy, Kitchen Party, Jumanji and Rainbow War. TV Movie roles on: Murder at the Breakers, The Christmas Note, Super Volcano, Bang, Bang, You’re Dead, Christy, A Storm in Summer, Colour of Courage and In Cold Blood.
