Mel & Sam: The Origin Story (Part 2)

Hi angels!!  Told ya we’d be back for a Part 2!! Today is a continuation of us telling you our fullllll origin story. It’s another gorgeous little trot down memory lane, picking up from our decision to make our first ever comedy show together and tracked all the way through what we’ve been up to for the last 4 years or so.  We tell you all about our comedy shows, touring, failed opening nights, big mistakes, going international, finding our audience and how we got started in podcasting. Pretty much everything that’s lead up to where we are today!  We hope you enjoy this nostalgic deep dive as much as we did, and hopefully it answers some questions about who the hell we are and what it is we love to do together!  We will see you for another Ratbag on Monday, and wishing you love and cheese cubes wherever you are in the world this Ratfood day.  Okay! Love you, bye! xx Mel & Sam  — You can watch the full video form of this episode on YouTube HERE: https://youtube.com/@themelandsam?si=jzeN-E_-DcE-DGHS Here’s the link to the Ratbag Chatbag! https://ig.me/j/AbZXnq4ipW10Ynq3/ Follow Mel & Sam on Instagram (@themelandsam) to keep up with all things pod, live shows and other nonsense. And remember, our Bring Bring Bitch hotline is always open! You can also send submissions to ratbagpod@gmail.com! — Mel & Sam would like to acknowledge that Ratbag is being recorded on Stolen Land. The original custodians of this land have had a rich history of storytelling for over 65,000 years, and we pay our respects to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation whose land we are recording Ratbag on. Treaties were never signed. Sovereignty was never ceded. Mel & Sam: The Origin Story (Part 1)

Hi angels!! Today is a really special episode. We are taking a gorgeous little trot down memory lane to tell you the story (in depth this time!) of how we met and how we came to be creative partners in life! We tell you everything about how we met, our first impressions of each other, the exactitudes of how we first became collaborators and where it all started (spoiler alert, it was 2018). We also touch on our first cabaret ideas, Sam being Mel’s agent, our oddly parallel experiences at music school and so much more. We hope you enjoy this nostalgic deep dive as much as we did, and hopefully it answers some questions about who the hell we are and what it is we love to do together! We will see you for another Ratbag on Monday, and wishing you love and cheese cubes wherever you are in the world this Ratfood day. Okay!
