The Importance of Cultivating Meaningful Connection with Julia Borawski

Today on the podcast I am thrilled to have on Julia! Julia is a TRUE ray of sunshine and a personal soul sister of mine 🌞 see below for her bio! My interests center around what I like to call the favorite F's: faith, fuel, fitness and fashion. Faith is my foundation. I believe that it is important to have something greater than something visible to the human eye be our “why” in life. Faith allows me to lean on something other than my own understanding when life and the people in it are unable to explain why things are happening in my day to day.  I'm also a firm believer in the power of slow mornings. I've found that the way you begin your day has an outsized influence on everything that follows, so I try to be intentional about building good habits into those early hours rather than rushing through them. Perhaps the most valuable lesson I've learned, though, is the truth in the idea that you become who you surround yourself with. It's a lesson that took me considerable time to fully absorb, but it has proven to be one of the most important principles I've carried into my adult life. The people you choose to keep close will not only celebrate your victories alongside you, but will also be the ones who show up during your most difficult moments, the times you're struggling, doubting yourself, or simply need a steady presence beside you. On the fitness side, I'm passionate about advocating for women to develop a deeper understanding of their own bodies,  particularly their menstrual cycles and how those cycles should inform the way they train and fuel themselves. Too often, fitness and nutrition advice is generic and one-size-fits-all or tailored specifically to men and I believe strongly in the importance of personalized approaches to health.  In the world of fashion and retail, I am particularly drawn to brand strategy,  understanding what allows certain brands to cultivate a genuine identity and stand apart in an increasingly saturated market. I find there's something fascinating about the intersection of creativity, storytelling, and consumer psychology that goes into building a brand people actually connect with. Fashion is freedom that is presented to the public and speaks the stories of our lives before our mouths do. Making it All Work in a New City with Haylee Schaefer

Today on the Grey Space I'm SO excited to welcome on Haylee Schaefer! Social & Website: https://www.tiktok.com/@chickfilhay_lee Instagram: @hayleenschaefer TikTok: @chickfilhay_lee Portfolio / website: https://hayleeschaefer.my.canva.site/ See below for her bio: I’m a marketing professional and talent manager with a passion for marketing, sales, the beauty industry, and the creator/brand space. I got really lucky during my senior year at the University of Alabama and secured a job in the beauty industry before graduating. I’m incredibly grateful for my career because I get to do work that I genuinely love while continuing to grow professionally. I also work in talent management, where I get to see the behind-the-scenes relationship between influencers and brands and negotiate partnerships for my creators. A huge part of my story is moving to Dallas completely on my own after graduation. Being in a brand-new city as a single woman and having to build a life, friendships, and career from scratch has been challenging at times, especially while navigating anxiety, but it has also been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Moving away from my hometown really pushed me outside of my comfort zone and shaped me into the woman I am today. I’ve learned a lot about independence, making a name for myself, and creating a life that is truly my own. Lauren's IG: https://www.instagram.com/findingflowithlo/
