Chosen Exiles: Living Faithfully in a Scattered World

In this episode of The Bulldog Update, Dr. Jack Farmer reflects on the opening words of 1 Peter 1:1–2, where believers are described as chosen by God yet living as exiles in the world. Peter reminds the early church that their identity is not rooted in geography, culture, or status, but in the saving work of the Father, the sanctifying work of the Spirit, and the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. Just as the covenant people of God once had blood sprinkled upon them in the days of Moses, believers today stand under the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ that establishes the New Covenant.   The episode also celebrates members of the Berean Baptist Academy community, including birthday recognitions, athletic competitions, and an important leadership announcement welcoming Miss Loretta Nally as the incoming Assistant Principal of the High School for the 2026–2027 school year.   Finally, in the Moment of Connection, Dr. Farmer continues the series on Berean Baptist Academy’s Expected Stakeholder Outcomes, focusing on the importance of engaging in biblical study and application. Grounded in Psalm 119:105, the conversation highlights why Scripture must be the guiding light for students, shaping not only their knowledge but their character, decisions, and daily walk with Christ.   Together, these moments remind the BBA community that faithful education begins with God’s Word and flows into every part of life.

A Fragrant Offering: Generosity, God’s Provision, and Following Christ Daily

In this episode of the Bulldog Morning Update, Dr. Jack Farmer reflects on Philippians 4:18–20 and the powerful reminder that generosity offered in faith becomes a pleasing sacrifice to God. Drawing from Paul’s words, the episode explores how the language of Old Covenant sacrifices points forward to Christ’s finished work and how believers today offer spiritual sacrifices through obedience, service, and generosity. When God’s people give from a heart that loves Christ, their actions become worship, and they can trust the promise that God faithfully provides for their needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.   The episode also highlights moments of celebration across the Berean Baptist Academy community, including birthday wishes for alumna Alexandra Paschal, a first-grade field trip, athletic pictures on campus, and an exciting day of Bulldog athletics with middle school soccer on the road and varsity baseball opening its home season against Freedom Christian.   The Moment of Connection begins a new series exploring Berean Baptist Academy’s Expected Stakeholder Outcomes. Today’s focus is the foundational expectation that every stakeholder—parents, students, employees, board members, and alumni—commit to loving and following Christ daily. Rooted in Luke 9:23, this episode emphasizes that Christian education is not only about teaching truth but about living it so that students see authentic faith modeled before them.

    Generosity, Community, and Covenant Faithfulness

In this episode of The Bulldog Update, we pause together as a school community to reflect, celebrate, and stay connected to the mission of Berean Baptist Academy.   In the Moment of Reflection, we look at Philippians 4:15–17, where Paul reminds the Philippian believers that their generosity toward the ministry of the gospel was more than a financial gift. It was a spiritual partnership that produced eternal fruit. Their willingness to support the work of Christ demonstrated that gospel-centered generosity is not about the gift itself but about the spiritual growth and kingdom impact that flows from faithful obedience.   In the Moment of Celebration, we recognize several birthdays across our Berean community, including alumni, current students, and faculty members. We also share a few updates from around campus, including our senior class enjoying their extended Spring Break, today’s lunch menu of Chicken Filet Sandwiches, and athletic events with our golf team competing at Village at Gates Four and our Middle School Soccer team hosting Fayetteville Academy.   In the Moment of Connection, we continue Part 10 of our series examining the Parental Covenant. This segment explores why continued enrollment at Berean Baptist Academy requires alignment with the mission and commitments of the school, and why protecting the unity and spiritual health of the academy community is essential to maintaining a faithful gospel ministry.   Thank you for staying connected with the life and mission of Berean Baptist Academy.
