The Unborn
Jared and Kristy Akron are the couple everyone admires; living the small-town, Pennsylvania dream: a recent wedding, a new home, and twins on the way. But when Jared begins noticing cracks in their seemingly perfect life, his suspicions lead him down a dark and twisting path he never anticipated. Kristy, who has always dreamed of being a mother, shows signs of strange, erratic behavior—secretive doctor visits, odd late-night activities, and a fierce insistence on keeping Jared at a distance. As he digs deeper, Jared uncovers secrets that reveal a side of Kristy he’s never known. Beneath her sweet, small-town charm lies a monster willing to go to unimaginable lengths to protect the life she’s crafted. The love that brought them together now binds them in a twisted game of deception and betrayal, where truth is elusive, and reality unravels one chilling clue at a time.

I am 11 years old and my my this is the best story I've ever read and I love mystery books and the way the narrator talks about the story is just amazing and the thing about the way Kristy is just so mysterious I love this book.
Rush job - it didn’t have to be this bad

Wait: this isn’t even a man actual event? This is fiction and is this awful? I want the 23 minutes back. Awful editing. Terrible transistions. The foley is over used and clunky. There’s a story to be told here but not by these two. Why not slow down, back off the ads and do better?
Disappointed Don’t Listen

First, I am an iHeart True Crime subscriber, so I assumed that all the shows u see this genre are true crime. However, this is not. If it is even based on real people, it should be categorized as special interest because there are no facts presented, it is a retelling of an alleged man’s story with narration. The real crime is this podcast.
I feel duped!

In a nutshell, the narrator is a good speaker and easy to listen to. The story is interesting and held my attention enough to keep going. The background music is corny as is the poorly done southern accent they use to portray the main female subject. Both are so corny that it borderlines insulting to southerners. (I’m a southerner btw) the other thing that was annoying was the terrible editing for ads! The middle of a sentence is not a good place for a commercial, smh. Now for the reason I feel duped…I started listening to this podcast because of the title page’s claim of The Shocking True Story. Although I realize that the condition that is highlighted throughout this story is a true condition, some of the events just seemed a little outrageous so as I often do, I decided to fact check. First thing I see is while the condition is real, this story isn’t. Jared and the other characters feel like real people and don’t speak with fake southern accents, so this makes the story seem really real. Maybe this is a true story that’s just been embellished for extra dramatization? I just don’t understand how Iheart can claim that this is THE SHOCKING TRUE STORY in an all cap font no less, when it isn’t!! Like I said before it’s not a bad story so it’s worth a listen if you go in knowing it’s true-ish.
