Not Responding

Hebrews 3:7-8 "That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness." God's grace is meeting you in this moment. You must respond. As Long As You’re Responding, There’s Still Hope!

The Word is Your Weapon

“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry. During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”” Matthew 4:1-4 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.4.1-4.NLT In Matthew 4, we see that Jesus faced the full assault of the enemy with a single, powerful strategy: standing on written Scripture. If life has left you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or exposed, take heart. You can be fully prepared for the battle. Here are scriptures to strengthen your defense and fill your arsenal with truth. God will show up at Beersheba

Genesis 26: 23From there Isaac moved to Beersheba, 24where the Lord appeared to him on the night of his arrival. “I am the God of your father, Abraham,” he said. “Do not be afraid, for I am with you and will bless you. I will multiply your descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will do this because of my promise to Abraham, my servant.” 25Then Isaac built an altar there and worshiped the Lord. He set up his camp at that place, and his servants dug another well. A covenant with God is not earned by your sacrifice. Your sacrifice should be in response to God’s covenant.

The Palace is not the Promise

'Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath, and he said, “When God comes to help you and lead you back, you must take my bones with you.” Genesis 50:25 If your eyes are not looking for the promise land, you may settle for the palace. The Word from the Lord for us today is telling you to dig up your faith from the place you left it and look toward the promise! You're stuck if you cannot see beyond your current circumstances. God is calling us to dig up our faith from the place we buried it and carry it to His promise. The palace is not the promise.

The Power of the Gospel - Rev. Matthew Wilmoth

Romans 1:16 KJV "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." During this "Believing for Bel Air", Rev. Matthew Wilmoth of South Boston, Virginia shares a concise presentation of the Gospel and our need to respond to the Good News of the Salvation Jesus provides through His death, burial and resurrection. Obey the Gospel through repentance, water baptism in the Name of Jesus, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2:36-38).

The Reality Is…

God's Word is a mirror that reveals our true spiritual reality, confronting our self-deception and calling us to move beyond merely hearing the truth to actively obeying it. Let God's Word be the reality you respond to. James 1:21-22 NLT [21] So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. [22] But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. https://bible.com/bible/116/jas.1.21-22.NLT

The Staggering Significance of a Single Step

The victory God has promised begins with your step of faith. "The priests will carry the Ark of the Lord, the Master of the whole world, into the Jordan ahead of you. When they step into the water, it will stop....” ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭3‬:‭913‬ ‭NCV‬‬ Step in first then the waters will stop. God is telling you to get your feet wet! Walk in victory before you have see the victory. In the landscape of your life right now — what area is God asking you to take a single step?

Childlike - Week Three - A Bridge not a Barrier

In this final message of our Childlike series, we are challenged to love what our Heavenly Father loves and hate what He hates. To be a bridge for people to get to Jesus instead of a barrier. Jesus uses a child as an illustration regarding the Kingdom of God and then concludes by charging His Disciples (including me and you) to take responsibility for protecting innocence in the next generation and in our own lives. Satan is actively assaulting innocence and there is a call for men, fathers, and anyone who bears the Name of Jesus to activate, lift up their voice in prayer, and claim the promises of God over those under their purview. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ AMP 13 Then little children were brought to Jesus, that He might put His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 But He said, Leave the children alone! Allow the little ones to come to Me, and do not forbid or restrain or hinder them, for of such [as these] is the kingdom of heaven composed.
