What Happens When We Die? Part 1: What the World's Great Traditions Say

What if every spiritual tradition humanity has ever built arrived at the same quiet truth about death - not on every detail, but on one thing that matters above all others? In this episode, we travel across nine of the world's great spiritual and religious traditions to explore what each one believes happens when we leave this physical life. From the Catholic doctrine of guardian angels who escort the soul, to the bardo states of Tibetan Buddhism, to the ancestors of African traditional religion who remain present and active long after death, to the Ministry of Angels at the heart of Spiritualism - the tradition that most closely reflects the belief this channel was built on. We cover Christianity in its full denominational breadth, Islam's extraordinarily detailed angelic cast, Judaism's refreshingly honest uncertainty, Hinduism's vision of the soul returning to source, Buddhism's teaching on what actually continues when there is no fixed self, and the ancient Egyptian belief in a soul guided, weighed, and welcomed into paradise. What emerged from this research genuinely surprised me. I will let the episode speak for itself. This episode reflects my own personal journey through one of life's greatest questions - shared in the spirit of open and respectful exploration. This is Part 1 of a two-part series. Part 2 explores what the philosophers and neuroscientists have to say - and the findings are extraordinary. About Dagmar Bryant “Life is not about sitting on the sidelines. To achieve success, you need to take calculated risks.” Dagmar Bryant PhD is a UK based, Australian Motivational Speaker and Business coach who actively lives this motto. She empowers and inspires women in a unique way – having gone through similar experiences that many women have. She encourages women to pursue their dreams and desires. She herself has fought against real-world obstacles: • A super-controlling father who always wanted her to do things his way; • A (ex-) husband who continually held her back. She has achieved results by breaking free of limitations: • A determined young mother wanting something “better” for herself and her kids; • A resourceful woman who found a novel way to pursue a law degree and successful corporate career; • Someone who uprooted her life in Australia to take a chance on a new one in America and then in the UK • A woman with an entrepreneurial spirit who built a successful coaching business to help others. Her powerful blend of world-class intuition and real-world experience gives her a message that deeply “speaks” to audiences of her events. Attendees come away with both a practical outline for reaching their dreams… and a touch of inspiration that offers newfound insights. Simply put, Dagmar Bryant is an uplifting, thought provoking speaker who combines both heart and head to help women unleash their “best selves”! Contact Dagmar dagmar@angelic-footprints.com

What Happens When We Die? Part 2: What Philosophy and Science Are Finding

In Part 1, we heard what the world's great spiritual traditions believe happens when we die. In this episode, we hand the same question to two very different kinds of thinkers, the philosophers who refused to accept anything on faith alone, and the neuroscientists applying the most rigorous tools available to the most human question there is. We begin with the ancient Greeks - Plato, Epicurus, the Stoics, and what each of them concluded when they stripped away certainty and started from first principles. The answers are not what you might expect. Then we go into the laboratories. Because what is happening in neuroscience right now is producing findings that are genuinely difficult to explain - and even harder to ignore. Researchers monitoring dying patients, survivors of cardiac arrest, and people with advanced dementia are all pointing toward the same set of questions. Questions that the scientific community does not yet have answers for. Where philosophy, reason, and cutting-edge research are all pointing - I will let you discover that for yourself. This episode reflects my own personal journey through one of life's greatest questions - shared in the spirit of open and respectful exploration." Finding Peace Through Grief: A Gentle Guided Meditation for Loss

Grief has no timetable, no rules, and no single path. Whether you've lost a loved one, a treasured pet, a relationship, a chapter of your life, or someone who still lives in your heart, this gentle guided meditation offers a safe space to pause, breathe, and simply be with whatever you're experiencing. In this episode of the Angelic Footprints podcast, you'll be guided through calming breathwork, gentle body relaxation, and quiet moments of reflection that help soften the weight of grief without asking you to let it go. There is no pressure to find answers, no expectation to "move on," and no right or wrong way to feel. Instead, you'll be invited to meet yourself with compassion and kindness, allowing your emotions to unfold naturally in their own time. For those who feel ready, the meditation also includes an optional opportunity to connect with the person, pet, or part of life you have lost. This is offered gently and without expectation, allowing you to experience it in whatever way feels right for you. This meditation reminds you that even in life's most difficult seasons, you do not have to walk alone. Sometimes healing doesn't begin by finding the answers. Sometimes it begins by giving yourself permission to breathe. Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be disturbed for 15 to 20 minutes, and allow yourself to be gently supported as you take this small but meaningful step towards peace.
