Kawhi Dodges the Questions | Chargers 0-3 & Three MLB Sweeps — Generational Divide Friday 10/2/26

Peyton Lodge (22) and Coach open on the wreckage of the NFL's first three weeks. Caleb Williams (hamstring), Jayden Daniels (elbow) and Jaxson Dart (season-ending knee surgery) all went down in Week 2. Coach calls Williams the biggest loss because Chicago is closest to a playoff run. Peyton says it's Dart, because the Giants' season goes with him, even if Case Keenum just led the Bears past the Eagles on Monday night. That leads to Coach's real question for the Gen Z guy: why was Caleb Williams grinning in a robe in the locker room while Keenum got the game ball? Then the 0-3 Chargers, who lost 26-14 to the Cardinals and the Raiders and 24-16 in Buffalo. Coach thinks Jim Harbaugh has lost touch and that this team starts 0-9. Peyton's theory is that Mike McDaniel's motion-heavy offense is simply too much.   The MLB postseason is three Wild Card sweeps in. Ben Rice went 4-for-5 with a grand slam as the Yankees swept Boston without Aaron Judge, and Peyton has the rookie autograph card to prove he was early. The Padres held the Cubs to one run in two games behind Mason Miller and their bullpen, which Coach says makes the Cubs "the Cowboys of Major League Baseball." The White Sox, three straight 100-loss seasons behind them, swept the Astros while Houston booed Hunter Brown off the mound. On who can stop a Dodgers three-peat, Coach says the Dodgers don't have the "it" factor this year. Peyton trusts a rotation of Yamamoto, Skubal, Snell and Glasnow.   In "Roll It", Munetaka Murakami's champagne-soaked postgame breaks both hosts. Kawhi Leonard's first Raptors media session turns into the debate of the night. Coach calls it a masterclass and argues that players sign what their agents put in front of them. Peyton, a Clippers fan, says Kawhi knew exactly what he signed. Then comes the Brazilian call of Tyler Loop's 56-yard walk-off as the Ravens beat the Cowboys 34-31 in Rio. Peyton, a young broadcaster himself, asks whether U.S. booths will ever allow that energy, and Coach draws on his years working with Gus Johnson. Call Your Shots closes it out with Patriots at Bills, Chiefs at Raiders, Lions at Panthers on Sunday night and Falcons at Saints on Monday night. The picks are the hosts' opinions, and the spreads were quoted on Oct 1, so check current numbers before acting on anything.   Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Jqi3pTcmnZQ   TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Welcome to Generational Divide 00:43 The week that was: NFL Week 3 00:56 Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels & Jaxson Dart go down 02:38 Caleb's robe and the Gen Z question 03:41 The Chargers are 0-3. Does The Rock Owe Vince Russo? + The Vince McMahon Red Bull Story — The Coach and Bro Friday 10/2/26

The Coach and Bro open their first show since AEW's Dynamite tribute to PAC, who passed away on Sunday, Sept 27. Russo credits Tony Khan's heart, Coach compares the night to the post-9/11 SmackDown, and both point to the tributes from Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Eddie Kingston and Kenny Omega, who reportedly flew in from Japan. Russo then goes off on everyone asking whether Netflix knew what it was buying. After the Netflix replay blacked out Jacob Fatu being hit with a car door and run over on Raw, his argument is that Netflix wants you watching live and has standards to meet in 190 countries. Coach backs him up with how WWE once edited and shipped Raw tapes to every international market. Russo also books the JD McDonagh "big head" running gag all the way to a Brian Pillman-style breakdown. Then the movie-star debate. With John Cena's Matchbox headed to Apple TV, Russo asks whether Cena has passed The Rock. He admits he has never seen a Rock movie, says The Rock "started with Vince Russo's pen" after the Rocky Maivia debut at Madison Square Garden, and asks why Brian Gewirtz made millions while he got "badati." Coach explains why wrestling fans felt left behind. Russo makes it Rock vs. Cena vs. Batista for best actor, which sends Coach into the night a Batista spinebuster put him into a cement ceiling in Steubenville and Shawn Daivari had to take his beating. Russo answers with standing on top of the cage with Ric Flair on Nitro and the night he asked Kevin Nash to gig him. Coach picks Batista, and Russo reveals Batista's vintage lunch box collection. The Flair stories keep going: Flair walked Russo through their cage match exactly once, and Coach got "call it out there" before their 2005 Tribute to the Troops match in Afghanistan, where the figure-four got renamed the "figure two." Then the legendary one, Coach's Vince McMahon Red Bull story. After that, what they learned being around McMahon and The Rock, Mike Tomlin's Minecraft city, and a Super Chat run: Roddy Piper never needing the belt, Hardcore Holly, Perry Saturn and Shelton Benjamin, ESPN's cuts and the $1.6 billion WWE deal, Bray Wyatt's $35 cologne, the Mean Street Posse outdrawing Hogan vs. Savage, and Russo not getting Sabrina Carpenter. Browns Win the TNF Thriller | Weekend Best Bets: CFB & NFL — Coach and Company Friday 10/2/26

Thursday night in Cleveland went the way Coach said it would. The Browns led by eight late, Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown and converted the two-point try himself to tie it 24-24, and Andre Szmyt hit a 56-yard field goal with 10 seconds left to win it 27-24 (Cleveland Browns). The Browns are 3-1 and alone in first in the AFC North, with Deshaun Watson leading a game-winning drive for the third straight week. He went 24-of-33 for 268 yards and called the night "electric" (Yahoo Sports). Coach says the atmosphere could revive downtown Cleveland and that sports is the great equalizer. Raphael Esparza says he has to eat crow on Watson. Mikey P won't: he's standing on his take that Cleveland shouldn't build its future around Watson, and Coach challenges him to judge what Watson is doing right now. On the other side, Rodgers threw for 299 yards but was sacked five times after a heated sideline exchange with head coach Mike McCarthy (CBS News), and the 2-2 Steelers get 10 days off. Then the weekend's best bets. Mikey P is fired up for undefeated Pitt at Virginia Tech and likes Northwestern +2.5 as it opens its new Ryan Field against Penn State (Northwestern Athletics), and the crew can't believe the visitors' locker room. Raphael likes the over in Florida–Missouri (SI) and questions how many SEC teams deserve their rankings. In the NFL, Raphael takes the Panthers +3.5 at home against the Lions with rain in the forecast (SI), and Coach and Raphael run through Teaser 101. Mikey P likes the Bears' team total against a Jets team missing Breece Hall, Adonai Mitchell and Mason Taylor (PFT), and says Ben Johnson will start Tyson Bagent over Case Keenum. Coach says that would be a mistake after Keenum's Monday-night win, and Ben Johnson hasn't said (Chicago Sun-Times). All picks are the hosts' opinions, and lines move. The show opens with Mikey P's Fight Time preview: UFC 332 is live on CBS this weekend (UFC), plus guest Destiny McCubbin. It closes with Howie Mandel walking away from a burning car (Yahoo) and Coach on Friday night high-school football in Texas. Housekeeping: Coach and Company is live every weekday at 10 AM ET. Mikey P and Brandon Combs have a college football show on Saturday mornings, and the Sunday VOD segment has the NFL picks. Afternoon Drive with the Coach is live at 2 PM ET (Thursday's was the biggest show yet). Coach and Bro is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Fight Time with Mikey P is out now. Browns–Steelers TNF Preview & Tomlin's Minecraft City — Afternoon Drive with the Coach Thursday 10/1/26

News of the day starts in Dallas, where the Cowboys traded for cornerback Joey Porter Jr. after his contract standoff in Pittsburgh, and he could debut Sunday in Houston (Athlon Sports). Sonny Gray is unhappy after being pulled at 70 pitches as the Red Sox were swept out of the Wild Card round by the Yankees, and Coach says he has a right to be (MLB.com). San Diego State is dealing with a mumps outbreak days before its Pac-12 opener against Texas State (SDSU). Then Thursday Night Football: Steelers at Browns (SI). Coach calls it the best storyline game of the year. He says Browns fans have to move on at some point, that Deshaun Watson has shown up, and that all he has to do now is win; when he returned from a big hit last week, the crowd cheered him back onto the field. On the other side, 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers is playing his final season. Coach shares two trends that lean Cleveland: the Browns have won seven straight on Thursday Night Football, and the Steelers are winless in divisional road Thursday games. He says fading the public has never made sense to him and makes the Browns his official pick. Coach's three biggest games of Week 4: Patriots at Bills, where he calls the Patriots fool's gold after Drake Maye looked visibly emotional in a 35-6 loss to Jacksonville (SI) and says Josh Allen is chasing Jim Kelly's shadow; Jaguars at Bengals, plus the AFC quarterbacks still chasing a ring (SI); and Broncos at 49ers, where Bo Nix drives him insane and the 49ers are "becoming likable" (SI). He also says J.J. McCarthy will be the Giants' starter by October 15 after Minnesota traded him to New York (MPR News), and has fun with Jameis Winston's "6 x 2" dedication (Yahoo Sports). To close, Mike Tomlin, now at NBC, has released a tour of the Minecraft city he has been building since 2014 (NBC Washington). Coach compares Tomlin's playoff record before and after Minecraft, tells the story of his night at the Steelers' Super Bowl ring party, and says every coach needs an outlet. Mayce Tomlin's PlayStation tweet gets the last laugh (X). Picks are Coach's opinion, and lines move. Housekeeping: Today's show is brought to you by Betya and BlueChew Gold. All seven BTT shows are at one video link and one audio link. Coach and Company has more best bets Friday at 10 AM ET, and a VOD segment with picks drops Sunday morning. Steelers–Browns TNF Picks | Week 4 Best Bets & Porter to Dallas — Coach and Company Thursday 10/1/26

News of the day opens on the MLB Wild Card sweeps: the White Sox in Houston, the Yankees over the Red Sox and the Padres over the Cubs, with Phillies–Braves headed to a Game 3 that night (FOX Sports). San Diego State's football team has a mumps outbreak days before its first-ever Pac-12 game, against Texas State (CBS Sports). Peyton Lodge is up early for every MLB playoff pitch and thinks either the Phillies or the Braves can beat the Dodgers. Mikey P, a Red Sox fan, switches to football: he says Jerry Jones is "getting smarter as he gets older" after Dallas traded for cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from the Steelers (NFL.com), and Coach admits he can't tell when Mikey is being sarcastic. Then the Week 4 best bets. Mikey P takes the Cardinals on the road against the Giants, the Cowboys getting points in Houston and the Rams' team total in Philadelphia. Coach calls the Cowboys number the most mispriced line of the week. Peyton Lodge likes the Bears at home against the Jets after Case Keenum's Monday-night win over the Eagles (PFT), the Rams to cover in Philly (he calls the Eagles the NFL's most overrated team) and the Jaguars getting points in Cincinnati. In Inside Info, Raphael Esparza shares a Jaguars totals trend, a Browns team-total over and a Rodgers completions under for TNF, and the Chargers getting a touchdown in Seattle (SI). All picks and trends are the hosts' opinions, and lines move. Gridiron Time goes to Steelers at Browns (CBS Sports). Mikey P likes the Steelers' team total and DK Metcalf's receiving yards, and Coach points out that the brand's two team-total overs leave Peyton alone on the under. Coach brings two trends: the Browns have won seven straight on Thursday Night Football, and the Steelers are 0-9 in divisional road Thursday games under Mike Tomlin (Steelers.com). Then the big debate: Coach says Deshaun Watson's turnaround with Browns fans is the quickest comeback story he has seen, and says sports is the great equalizer. Mikey P says Cleveland will boo if Watson struggles, and Coach runs him through a yes-or-no cross-examination. Peyton calls it the most upside-down story in the NFL. Housekeeping: Today's show is presented by Betya and BlueChew Gold. Afternoon Drive with the Coach is live at 2 PM ET with a full TNF preview, and a VOD segment drops later today. Generational Divide tapes today and drops Friday, with Munetaka Murakami in "Roll It." Who Is Jaida Parker? Russo vs. O'Shea Jackson Jr. — The Coach and Bro 9/30/26

The Coach and Bro are back after Monday Night Raw, and Vince Russo has found himself in a pop-culture beef. After Jaida Parker's surprise Raw arrival, when she ran Jacob Fatu down with a car and left with The 946, Russo posted that WWE is ignoring the casual fan. O'Shea Jackson Jr. fired back on X: Jaida Parker was in a Royal Rumble, and NXT is free on The CW every Tuesday. Coach reads the exchange, Russo gives his definition of a casual fan, and Coach pulls the receipts: Raw averages roughly 2.5–3 million on Netflix, while NXT sits around 650,000. The guys also ask why WWE creative can't see it from inside the bubble, why every angle becomes a Bloodline story, and how Russo would have set the table with vignettes first. The Super Chats open up the rest of the show: whether this is a golden era for women's wrestling, the Razor Ramon vignettes and what they really cost, where Roman Reigns was after The 946 kidnapped Solo Sikoa, Kevin Nash saying he stopped watching, and Russo's case that a car attack with no consequences is exactly where casual fans laugh at wrestling. Then AEW. Tonight's Dynamite honors PAC, who passed away Sept 27, and Coach and Russo say "business is business" about WWE's Worlds Collide airing opposite it on YouTube. Coach reads Tony Schiavone's update on Steven Borden after the mid-air collision at All Out. Russo takes on Ricochet's defense of the spot, Coach answers the "hypocrites" charge over Logan Paul, and the show closes on the five most influential people backstage in WWE history. Housekeeping: Super Chats of $5+ get you on screen, and $10+ gets your comment discussed. The Coach and Bro-lette wheel spins Wednesdays and Fridays for a merch-store gift card. The Wild Card round opened with two road teams and two home teams winning. In Atlanta, Austin Riley's three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth turned a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 Braves win over the Phillies (Boston Globe). The White Sox jumped out early and held on to beat the Astros 6-3 in Houston (KPRC). In the Bronx, Cam Schlittler threw 6⅓ scoreless innings on 117 pitches, and Ben Rice capped a 9-0 rout of the Red Sox with a two-out grand slam in the eighth (MLB.com). In San Diego, Michael King took a no-hit bid into the seventh as the Padres blanked the Cubs 8-0 (Times of San Diego). Mikey P is a Bears and Red Sox fan, so he went from Case Keenum's Monday-night win to watching Ben Rice "put it in the microwave." Raphael Esparza saw the Cubs result coming and blames their bullpen and quiet bats. Mikey P questions why Houston started Game 1 with a bullpen game. Raphael criticizes the Phillies' use of Jhoan Duran and the half-empty afternoon crowd in Atlanta, and he shares a White Sox trend that favors the over. It's Wednesday, so it's Rant Wednesday. Mikey P's rant is aimed at fans who write off their team when the starting quarterback goes down: "Just watch the games." That leads into Deshaun Watson's TikTok turnaround in Cleveland. Raphael says Georgia, not Texas, is the best team in the SEC. Coach names five AFC quarterbacks still chasing a ring (Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson) and says Patrick Mahomes is in their way, the way Tom Brady was in Peyton Manning's. Then breaking news: Amazon has extended Kirk Herbstreit on Thursday Night Football, and the deal reportedly includes outs if Prime Video can land Sean McVay (Awful Announcing). Coach can't believe a broadcaster of Herbstreit's stature would sign it, and he draws on his own experience of being "put in a box" at ESPN. Mikey P thinks McVay could follow Mike Tomlin into television. After the BlueChew Gold spot with Vince Russo, Coach and the crew go back to school for the Top 5 games of college football Week 5: No. 3 Notre Dame at North Carolina (UHND), Alabama at unbeaten Mississippi State (Covers), Florida at Missouri (ESPN), Ohio State at Iowa with College GameDay in Iowa City (NBC Sports), and No. 4 Miami at Clemson, where Coach says this is a low point of the Dabo Swinney era (ESPN). Mikey P is all over Mississippi State's Kamario Taylor. Coach likes Florida, and Raphael thinks Miami-Clemson could be the most lopsided score of the night. All picks and lines are the hosts' opinions, and lines move. Housekeeping: Today's show is presented by Betya and BlueChew Gold. Coach and Bro is live at 2 PM ET today. Week 3 Power Rankings + All 16 Week 4 Games | Fury vs. Joshua — Afternoon Drive 9/29/26

Coach opens with his Week 3 power rankings. The Chiefs are No. 1: Kansas City beat Miami 24-10 while calling the game "like the Patriots did with Brady." Next come the 3-0 Bills, who beat the Chargers 24-16, and then the 49ers, fresh off a 36-17 win over Arizona. Denver is fourth after coming back from 16-0 down to beat the Rams 30-26 on Sunday Night Football, and Jacksonville is fifth, with Minnesota as the honorable mention. Then comes Giants news: New York traded for J.J. McCarthy with Jaxson Dart out for the season, and released Odell Beckham Jr.. Braxton Berrios takes OBJ's roster spot. After that, Coach takes all 16 Week 4 games in two minutes or less. The stops include: Steelers at Browns (Thursday): Coach takes Cleveland plus the points and weighs in on Browns fans rallying behind Deshaun Watson. Colts vs. Commanders in London: the NFL has cut ticket prices at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium because of slow sales. Coach's view is that the league needs to bring its stars overseas. Patriots at Bills: Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel's 1-2 Patriots head to Buffalo. Jets at Bears: Case Keenum's Monday night win over the Eagles, including his "I may not be a cowboy" locker-room speech. Cardinals at Giants: Jameis Winston's "six times two" postgame. Cowboys at Texans: Brian Schottenheimer's end-of-game choices in the 34-31 loss to Baltimore in Brazil. Coach thinks Dallas is the better team. Jaguars at Bengals: the ball-boy tussle over Travis Hunter's first NFL interception, which Coach initially calls a touchdown. The ball's tracking chip explains why it couldn't be handed over on the spot. Packers at Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield's dislocated thumb and the pressure on Jordan Love. Rams at Eagles: Matthew Stafford's NFL-record 33rd career pick-six. Titans at Ravens: Coach makes his case for punting on a season at 0-3. Only seven teams have ever made the playoffs from 0-3, and the 2025 Texans are the only one since the field grew to 14. Dolphins at Vikings: the loss of De'Von Achane to a torn ACL and Jeff Hafley's nearly empty press conference. Broncos at 49ers: Denver's brutal early schedule. Chiefs at Raiders: how Andy Reid is managing Travis Kelce. Chargers at Seahawks: Justin Herbert, whom Coach calls football's biggest disappointment. Lions at Panthers (Sunday night): Coach likes the over. Falcons at Saints (Monday night): Michael Penix Jr. against Tyler Shough. All picks are Coach's opinion, and lines will move before kickoff. The last topic is Fury vs. Joshua. It's back on track for December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Netflix, with Wednesday's London press conference going ahead after the promoters' dispute over Dana White's role. Coach argues that no promoter feud should cost the sport a roughly $200 million spectacle. He also reacts to reports that Joshua's camp could involve former Fury trainer Ben Davison, and to the opening DraftKings line with Fury as roughly a -200 favorite. He finishes with super chats on wrestlers taking dangerous bumps. His advice to young wrestlers is to work on promos and character instead. Housekeeping: Today's show is presented by Betya and BlueChew Gold (promo code COACH). Afternoon Drive is live Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 p.m. ET, and Thursday's episode covers Thursday Night Football and college football with picks. Monday Night Grind is Mondays at 7 p.m. ET.
