In this gentle underwater adventure, kids will meet a giant Pacific octopus, a garden of sea anemones, and glowing plankton that make Marina’s family cave feel like a room full of tiny stars. Along the way, Marina teaches the crew about kelp forest ecology - how sea otters keep the balance by eating urchins, how kelp holds onto rocks with a “holdfast” instead of roots, and how every creature, from rockfish to seahorses, has its own job to do. When the crew discovers a tangle of old fishing net drifting into Marina’s anemone garden, Captain Dave and Larry work together with Marina to free it and carry it safely to shore.
