Are You Tired- Or Is Your Life Boring To You?

Send us Fan Mail Are you actually tired—or has life become a little too predictable? In this episode of My Sexy Menopause Body, I’m talking about the kind of “tired” that isn’t always about sleep. Sometimes what we’re missing is anticipation, novelty, curiosity, connection, or simply something on the calendar that makes us say, “I can’t wait.” We’ll talk about why adults stop doing things they’re bad at, why fun doesn’t have to be productive, why first-time experiences wake us up, how friendships and projects can bring more energy into ordinary weeks, and why your calendar needs something that belongs to you—not just work, caregiving, errands, and responsibilities. I’ll also give you my Sunday Night Test and five simple takeaways you can actually use this week. And I’ll ask you one of my favorite questions: When was the last time you did something for the first time? Because we spend so much time trying to add years to our lives. Maybe it’s time to pay more attention to what we’re putting into those years. Your choices add up. Your next one still matters. Thank you for listening to this episode of My Sexy Menopause Body! If today’s conversation inspired you, resonated with you, or made you think, I’d love to hear from you. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode, and if you enjoyed what you heard, leave a review—it helps others find this community. Why Not At My Age? Do Dreams Expire?

Send us Fan Mail Remember when people used to ask, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” At some point, they stop asking. We build careers, raise families, take care of people, pay the bills—and eventually the question becomes, “When are you going to retire?” But what happened to everything in between? In this episode of My Sexy Menopause Body, I’m asking you to go back to the dreams you had when you were younger—not because you need to literally become the firefighter, actress, teacher, veterinarian, artist, writer, or explorer you once imagined, but because there was probably something underneath that dream that mattered to you. Adventure. Creativity. Helping people. Learning. Performing. Teaching. Travel. Animals. Leadership. Discovery. Is that part of you still getting a place in your life? I also share why I went back to school later in life, earned an advanced degree, and what I said when people asked me, “Why would you do that at your age?” My answer: Why not at my age? Maybe you want to go back to college. Take the art class. Learn another language. Write the book. Join the choir. Volunteer. Travel somewhere new. Teach what you know. Become a beginner again. It doesn’t have to become a career, a business, or anything impressive. Some things are worth doing simply because they make your life richer. So I want you to ask yourself: What did I once want to be? What was it about that dream that I loved? And what could that look like in my life now? We spend so much time thinking about how to live longer and stay healthier. Maybe we should spend a little more time deciding what we want to do with the life we’re working so hard to protect. Your choices add up. Your next one still matters. And if you catch yourself asking, “Why would I do this now?” Try a different question: Why not now? Thank you for listening to this episode of My Sexy Menopause Body! If today’s conversation inspired you, resonated with you, or made you think, I’d love to hear from you. Why Men Keep Scrolling

Send us Fan Mail What if the reason a man keeps scrolling has nothing to do with your age, your body, or whether you look young enough? It may be the photo you thought looked sophisticated. The sentence you thought sounded independent. Or the list of standards that may be telling him more about your past than it tells him about who you are now. In this episode of My Sexy Menopause Body, my husband is back—and I am asking him to tell us the truth about women’s dating profiles. What makes a man stop? What makes him curious? What makes him think, “I want to meet her”? And what makes him quietly move on, even when the woman is beautiful? We talk about photos, filters, bios, negativity, mixed messages, authenticity, and the small profile mistakes women may not even realize they are making. This is not about changing yourself to appeal to every man online. It is about making sure your profile actually reflects the warm, interesting, real woman someone would be lucky to meet. Why Dating Feels Harder Than It Did 30 Years Ago

Send us Fan Mail Remember when dating meant waiting by the phone? When people met through friends, church, work, or family? When a guy liked you, he called? Today, dating can feel like an entirely different world. Texting. Ghosting. Breadcrumbing. Situationships. Dating apps. Mixed signals. And if you've ever found yourself thinking, "Why does dating feel so much harder now?" you're not imagining it. In this episode of My Sexy Menopause Body, Kim Nicholson explores why modern dating feels so different from the dating many of us remember decades ago. You'll discover why the rules changed, why so many women feel confused and discouraged, and why the problem isn't your age—it's the landscape. More importantly, you'll learn about the unexpected advantages you have today that you didn't have when you were younger. In this episode you'll discover: • Why modern dating often creates more access but less connection • How ghosting, texting, and dating apps have changed the dating experience • Why a "grown woman's brain" may be your greatest dating advantage • The difference between chemistry and character • Why peace may be more important than excitement at this stage of life • Reflective exercises to help you navigate dating with greater confidence and clarity If you've ever wondered whether dating has become more complicated, more exhausting, or simply harder than it used to be, this episode is for you. Because dating may have changed. But your ability to connect, love, and build meaningful relationships has not. And that might be the most important thing to remember.
