The Die Laugh Love Podcast - Episode 49 - "The Keeper of Old Memories, the Creator of New""

The dead have a lot to say about memories. In this episode of The Die Laugh Love Podcast, a deeply religious aunt comes through for someone who has been working through old memories and trying to understand the ways the past still lives in the present. A lumberjack grandfather steps forward with a simple but beautiful message for his grandson: go to the county fair, take your own grandchildren, and make the memories now that they will carry someday. An Italian grandmother makes herself known, bringing her own unmistakable presence into the room, and a beloved brother who took his own life came through with a message for the person who still carries him in their heart. This episode serves as a reminder that we are all keepers of memory. We carry the people who came before us, the stories they left behind, what still makes us laugh, and all that we're still trying to heal. Many of us are the "Keepers of Old Memories." But we're also the creators of new, and someday, the ordinary days we're living right now may become the stories somebody else holds onto.

The Die Laugh Love Podcast - Episode 48 - "The Elevated Dead"

In Episode 48 of The Die Laugh Love Podcast, Psychic Medium & Author Josh Simonds brings along a special guest to help him host: his husband, Isaac Vars. The episode started out fairly normal, with a husband coming through for his wife, but then it quickly took an unexpected turn.  The one and only JFK - John Fitzgerald Kennedy - made an unmistakable appearance for another woman. To top it off, an even more famous spirit in the form of Jesus Christ stepped forward with a little sister who passed away from a drug overdose. You need to see (and hear!) it to believe it.

The Die Laugh Love Podcast - Episode 47 - "I Knew You Could Do It"

In Episode 47 of The Die Laugh Love Podcast, Psychic Medium Josh Simonds begins by reflecting on his great-great-grandfather’s recent birthday and why he believes working with our ancestors matters. From there, a proud father comes through to remind his daughter how much he loves her and how important it is to say those things while we’re still alive. Then, unexpectedly, a horse makes an appearance and offers a beautiful reminder that human spirits aren’t the only ones who carry on. Finally, a grandmother who caused great harm in life comes through with apologies and a message of pride for her granddaughter. All three people receiving readings were helpers, and each was given a reminder they probably needed to hear: I knew you could do it.

The Die Laugh Love Podcast - Episode 46 - "For Sandy"

In Episode 46 of The Die Laugh Love Podcast, “For Sandy,” Psychic Medium & Author Josh Simonds shares an episode that is very close to his heart. After recently sitting with a woman named Sandy as she was in the process of passing away with the help of Vermont’s Act 39, he found himself called even more deeply into end-of-life work and recently signed up to become a death doula.  This episode is dedicated to Sandy, to the beauty of her passing, and to the love that surrounds her. At the end of the episode, Josh invites people to offer words of love and wisdom to Sandy, if they felt moved to do so, and what followed was a beautiful reminder that death doesn't have to be cold or lonely. Sometimes, when we let it, it can be filled with tenderness and grace.

The Die Laugh Love Podcast - Episode 45 - "You Best Believe"

In Episode 45 of The Die Laugh Love Podcast, “You Best Believe,” Josh hosts another online spirit gallery with one clear thread running through every reading: belief. The first two women who come through are both standing at the edge of something better, but each one is being asked to believe she is worthy of more, capable of more, and allowed to want a life that feels good to live. From there, the angel Gabriel steps into the session, encouraging one woman to do the work of angels in her own life and in the lives of others. The final reading brings through a woman who once owned a daycare and still carries regret over closing it, until the Great Mother, felt as Mary, Isis, and the great goddess, comes forward with comfort and encouragement. What begins as a spirit gallery becomes a beautiful conversation about religion, faith, self-worth, and the way our beliefs shape the lives we allow ourselves to create.

The Die Laugh Love Podcast - Episode 44 - "The Word Witch"

In Episode 44 of The Die Laugh Love Podcast, “The Word Witch,” Josh hosts another online spirit gallery, where the first spirit to come through brings an important reminder about speaking up. Sometimes a message begins with a detail someone recognizes, but if no one claims it, the connection can’t unfold the way it wants to.  From there, the episode takes a strange and wonderful literary turn as Josh connects with a woman from the publishing world who dreams of being a writer herself. As her story comes through, Virginia Woolf and Emily Brontë somehow make their way into the room too, adding a beautifully odd layer to an episode about words, longing, stories, and the voices that still want to be heard.
