The Great, the Good, the Bad & the Ugly of Building My Business [Ep 39]

Send us Fan Mail Whew, y'all. It's been a MINUTE. This is my first solo episode since February, and when I tell you life and business have been LIFE-ING? 😮‍💨 The last time we talked, I thought I knew exactly what this year was going to look like: grow the mastermind, fill the retreat, host more Rich Bi$h Brunches, and continue building my coaching business. Honey...that is not what happened. 😂 Some things took off faster than I could have imagined. Some things absolutely did not work. I became a financial hypnotherapist, launched one of my favorite offers I've ever created, got clearer than ever about the high-earning women I want to serve, deepened my work, changed the way I sell, dealt with slower revenue months, made difficult team decisions, grieved the loss of my dog Tetris, and shed an entire version of myself and my business along the way. And somehow, on the other side of all of it, I can genuinely say: I've never had more fun doing this work. In this episode, I'm taking you behind the scenes of the great, the good, the bad, and the ugly of the last six months—including: Why I ultimately pumped the brakes on the mastermind I'd been so excited to launchHow the Financial Glow-Up Intensive completely reignited my love for coachingBecoming a financial hypnotherapist and realizing my work is becoming less about simply changing someone's finances and more about changing the person interacting with the moneyHow Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business changed the way I see my companyWhy I'm focusing even more deeply on high-earning womenThe evolution of Sticky Money, Slippery Money, and Wealth That SticksWhy a six-figure year doesn't automatically mean perfectly consistent cash flowThe difference between “this didn't sell” and “this isn't valuable”The difficult team experience that ultimately brought me closer to my own voice and marketingWhat happened when I started treating myself the way I would treat one of my clientsRunning a business while grieving TetrisWhy letting an old identity die can feel like everything is falling apart—even when everything is actually coming togetherWhat's next for Manifest Money Honey®, Financial Glow-Up, financial hypnotherapy, retreats, Rooted in Riches, and this podcastThe biggest thing I know now that I didn't know in February? A business can be working even when everything isn't working. And Sticky Money isn't simply about keeping more of what you earn. It's about becoming someone who can intentionally earn, receive, hold, allocate, spend, and trust herself with money. If you'd asked me six months ago what this season was going to teach me, I probably would've given you some very CEO answer about scaling. Turns out, the real lesson was becoming the person capable of holding the business and the life I'm asking for. Mentioned in this episode Financial Glow-Up Intensive — Deep 1:1 work for high-earning women ready to change both their financial reality and the way they experience money. Wealth Embodiment Session — Financial hypnotherapy designed to help you work with the subconscious beliefs and patterns influencing how you earn, receive, spend, hold, and relate to money. The Rich Bi$h Retreat — Immersive experiences for high-earning women ready to rest, be cared for, have honest conversations about money, and create what's next. Your reflection What has the version of you from six months ago had to learn—or let go of—for you to become who you are now?
